THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER. Threads and messages appear to be back in sequence and we can post messages.
Some things still do not work correctly. Please cutback on starting new threads and try to post messages as a reply to existing threads.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly. First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again.

I've repeatedly had trouble posting recently - I'm not even sure this will work. I've just discovered that by submitting a post with the words 'test message' (compared to just four lines of plain text!) I could successfully post and then edit the post with the four lines I originally wanted - I just couldn't submit the original post the usual way. Has there been any kind of problem with the server? (Edit: I've just had to do the same to post this!)

Other than occasional very slow responces, I have not noticed any problems with posting.


You will have problems if:



  • You use some of the Aimoo banned words

  • You try to embed HTML code, (tip just use the links tool on the message editor)

  • You use some strange unicode

  • You try to cut and paste from a word processor that has funny formating hidden in the text, (i.e. Microsoft Word's miss named "Smart Tags")  

If you want to edit in another program and then paste your final spell checked message onto the board try cutting it and pasting it into notepad, or any plane text asci editor, then from that onto the board.  The simple editor will strip the hidden formating that can mess up the fonts and cause problems posting.
