There is a Hurricane coming.  I will be otherwise occupied and unable to check in becuase prep takes a lot of work.  My house has a very low elevation, about 2' over sea level, and I am in a cat I evacuation zone.  Therefore, between the preparation and the aftermath I may not be on the internet for a few days.

If the hurricane strikes my house or town then it's likely that I will be without power for some extended period of time, maybe weeks.

While I am off line you will all have to behave.  Try not to start threads when an existing one on the subject already exists, etc.

The regulars know what is appropriate on this board, and what is not.  If in doubt don't post it. 

If any of the regulars see anything that should be removed, or edited to tone it down, please send me a message.  There are some who check-in every day to read the Today section, to them, please keep your eyes open and direct me to posts that need attention.  When I am next able to get back on the board I will check my messages.

If a posting is in the wrong place let me know that too, and also let the poster know so they can put it in the right place. 

Please send me a link to the thread and some information about what post needs attention, the poster and if it's a long thread with quite a few replies, some text I can use to search for the message in question.

I am normally able to check in every few days.  Being of line does not happen very often. (Because I am broke and have not been on holiday for several years, and we have been lucky with hurricanes for the last few years.)

So keep an eye out, use some common sense, and send me messages, which I will eventually get when I am back on board.
