I got a topic:

I'm 3 days young to this website. I posted a topic on my first day here, and it's already deleted. It was a simple question about wearers in the Panama City area.

Nothing offenseive and frankly, a simple start to a new friendship. I have much experience in this area, and would like to share some things.

Any thoughts as to why my post was deleted?

Slim

A)  Read your inbox for your Private Messages on the message board.  Top right on main page.  There is probably a message explaining why it was deleted or moved to a more appropriate section.  If I remember correctly you asked a question about what were good thong beaches, in four different states. On this board we try to keep each thread about one location.  There certainly were existing threads on Panama City.

B)  Use the search function to find the beach, city or state you are thinking about.  There is probably already a thread on that location, so post your question in that thread and the locals who monitor that thread will probably be more than glad to help you. Before you post your question read the existing threads, because they may will have already answered your question.

You may have been only using this message board for 3 days, but some of the members have been her for 6 years, so do read the advice and comments that have been already posted.

You did it again.  There was an existing topic called  "Where to go in Mississippi" and you then started a new topic asking where to go in Mississippi.  Use the search tool to find the existing threads.  You may find one on the state, or on the individual beach that intrests you.

Yeah i got some of my posts deleted think its a bit rude when it happens as all the time you spent writing a post (if its long) and it gets removed i have had the same with a normal reply, i think its quite immature and pisses me off!!

I think this board is very well run and very well organized.  It is unlike other boards, where users are allowed to run amok.   It is easy to find the topic you are looking for.   Kudos to those who watch the board and put messages where they belong!

liam1  - I know you are a new user, but this system is simple to figure out.  If there is an existing post on the subject then jump in an add you two cents on that existing thread.  Don't just randomly start new threads.

I do have the ability to move a reply into another thread, but not the top message in a new thread.  If your message is the first in a thread then I don't have the ability to move it into an appropriate existing thread.  My only option is to move it to a different category or delete it.  When I delete it I normally send you a PM asking that you post it again in the appropriate existing thread that deals with that subject or place.

Before deleting a newly started thread, I normally take my time to do the research you should have done.  I read your post, figure out what it's about, which is not always easy. Then do a search on the board to see if there are existing threads on the subject.  Then I read them to figure out which one is the most relevant thread for what ever it was you were going on about.

After that a compose a polite personal PM telling you that I have deleted your new thread, and then paste in the PM a link to the appropriate existing thread asking you to re-post your question in that thread.  To top it all off I quite often take the time to cut your original text out of your post and attach it to the PM so you don't have to re-type it. By the time I am done it takes me a lot more work to do the clean up than you put in.

I have also had to edit a number of your posts becuase they are were unintelligible.  I am not paid to be your editor. Truth is I am not paid at all. I do all the work and look after this board for free.  All I ask you to do is write intelligent, or at least legible posts, and when an existing thread about that subject already exists, put them there.

Since this board has been going for over 5 years and has around 4,000 threads on different subjects you can bet that someone has already started a thread on almost any angle, brand or beach at which people wear thongs.  So do a search of the messages first. The Search button is on the menu near the top right of the screen.  The one that goes:  Today | Member | Search |

We have around 10,000 members and normaly more posts in the day than there are hours in the day, so I don't have time to be your, or anyone elses personal nanny.

Wrong Laughing My Fucking Ass Off - if your gonna edit something do it correctly.

Please cutback on starting new threads and try to post messages as a reply to existing threads.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again. This will give you clean posts.
