liam1 - I know you are a new user, but this system is simple to figure out. If there is an existing post on the subject then jump in an add you two cents on that existing thread. Don't just randomly start new threads.
I do have the ability to move a reply into another thread, but not the top message in a new thread. If your message is the first in a thread then I don't have the ability to move it into an appropriate existing thread. My only option is to move it to a different category or delete it. When I delete it I normally send you a PM asking that you post it again in the appropriate existing thread that deals with that subject or place.
Before deleting a newly started thread, I normally take my time to do the research you should have done. I read your post, figure out what it's about, which is not always easy. Then do a search on the board to see if there are existing threads on the subject. Then I read them to figure out which one is the most relevant thread for what ever it was you were going on about.
After that a compose a polite personal PM telling you that I have deleted your new thread, and then paste in the PM a link to the appropriate existing thread asking you to re-post your question in that thread. To top it all off I quite often take the time to cut your original text out of your post and attach it to the PM so you don't have to re-type it. By the time I am done it takes me a lot more work to do the clean up than you put in.
I have also had to edit a number of your posts becuase they are were unintelligible. I am not paid to be your editor. Truth is I am not paid at all. I do all the work and look after this board for free. All I ask you to do is write intelligent, or at least legible posts, and when an existing thread about that subject already exists, put them there.
Since this board has been going for over 5 years and has around 4,000 threads on different subjects you can bet that someone has already started a thread on almost any angle, brand or beach at which people wear thongs. So do a search of the messages first. The Search button is on the menu near the top right of the screen. The one that goes:
