Beachfolks,
I like the sportweave because it also lets the air out. The first one I bought was like wearing a balloon in my pool. I've never worn one to a beach.

Balto-My sport weave baggie arrived today from Bananapeelz. I had them make it to size and received excellent service-3 days and correct to my size specification. The sport weave 2 way stretch material has much less stretch than I had allowed for, so it is very tight (I like that feel), but the show-thru is also more than I expected.  Next occasion, I will try to wear it over a very tight Dore baggie to see if the combination provides a no-showthru effect.

Best wishes on your Washington ride tomorrow. Wish I was there with you.

Did you get the black mesh? They have several different fabrics. The mesh is quite flimsy, while the sport weave is rather stiff. I have the orange weave. Mine does not strech much either. The more color contrast between the fabric and your skin would make a difference.

I understand. One guy at the WNBR had a yellow weave bananapeelz today. The color helped but you could see quite a bit. No problems with the 6-8 police working the ride. They didn't do an inspection like last year.

I wear baggies all of the time both in my private pool if we have guest's over that I don't want to go nude in front of and also I have worn them to countless beaches all over the place and have only had a few minor confrontations bur once they saw I was covered I was OK.  I have actually had women comment on how nice it must be to get an all over tan and still be legal on the beach.  Because really if you thin k about it all the string does is run around the waist an up the crack but doesn't provide any coverage.

Re:Baggies - Stringless - strapless or C-string suits for males. (Suits with no side straps)

Date Posted:06/15/2009 03:00:46Copy HTML

Mako, what you say is true regarding coverage, but that string around the waist and up the back makes a huge difference in the feeling of being dressed vs. being naked.  Even a sock jock, with waist string but nothing up the crack, feels a lot more undressed than a g-string pouch held in place with merely a couple loops of elastic string.  And seeing others in sock jocks or baggies has the look of them being more naked.

One other big difference with just a baggie is that it fails to cover the pubes if you don't shave, whereas a string or sock jock does.  Do all baggie wearers shave their pubes?  Does it make a difference in whether you feel nude or not?  Mako, I'm guessing you do shave and that you don't feel nude when wearing a baggie, and it's great you're comfortable that way.  I love my pubes, so it doesn't work for me.

How one feels makes a big difference in how one chooses to dress on the beach.  In my tan-thru sliding pouch held on with elastic string I feel fully dressed and get a great tan.  For a rare indulgence, a baggie is good for thrills while hoping neither to get busted nor to offend people.  So despite little difference in coverage, the psychological difference is major.

Yes,Sliding, the coverage is noticeable, but I very much prefer the undressed feeling of the baggie. Strings are somewhat bothersome, make tan lines, and the coverage is less dependable sometimes slipping out etc.

Hi guys, Just found the baggies thread - great stuff. I had looked at the Dore selection but did nothing about it - not that enthused, I guess. Had a look at the Banana peelz sight and ordered one in swim suit lycra nd one in sport weave. I like things relly tight with no spare material so hope they work out.The measurements looked a little big but I will wait and see. i have a koala testosteron pouch and another black one that is really small. Should be good for the beach in a month. Thanks for all the comments it made shopping easy.

Soopalow, I think you'll find the BananaPeelz a little big, especially too long.  Just turn it inside out and resew the seam to get the desired size, then trim off the excess.  Wish Koala made their Testosterone Pouch in colors and prints, black looks too much like pubes from a distance.  Even white so it could be dyed.  Otherwise, it's great as baggies go.

SlidingG, I am a with you about colours and Koala - black is sooo boring. The fit is great as is the sensation. I orderd a Dore baggie from her ebay store so will compare the fit but I think her's will be better by the sound of other's comments. Maybe I will have Suzanne make a smaller size once I have Dore's version. I think her fabrics are great and she does push the limits which suits me just fine!

It's not that black is boring that I object to -- it's fine for thongs and speedos -- it's that a color, like royal or navy, would make it obvious something is covering the privates, however brief.  The strap and rings for cinching it up tight make the testosterone pouch design special, as well as it's non-dangling effect.  Just an understated, minimal cover when some is required.

Re:Baggies - Stringless - strapless or C-string suits for males. (Suits with no side straps)

You have to take the testosterone pouch off to pee in the water. Being not large, I find it very difficult to get back on again.

The difference--Both Dore and Bananapeelz will make a pouch to your dimensions. Dore is cheaper for a more professionally sewn pouch, Bananapelz has a few unusual materials and better website for selection.
Both have been friendly, very helpful.

Never had a problem peeing in the ocean in any suit I'm wearing, including the Koala.  I can't justify mesh on that account, but can justify it for getting an overall tan.  In a small print pattern, as on my favorite sliding g-string shown in my Images, it's not see-thru.  Could Dore replicate a Testosterone Pouch in a small print mesh?

Take notice, there is no water circulation in the Koala-none.

You will need to take the possibility of a duplicate of the Koala pouch in mesh up with Dore. Dore is very handy, my suggestion is to send her the suit you want to replicate with your choice of the material and call her before on the telephone.. She will likely have problems doing the grommets-replace with buttonhole stitches.
Also you will need to send her a shoestring.  Dore will adamantly not purchase shoestrings. She says she  can make several suits in the time to get a shoestring.

Do you have a website for photos?

SlidingG and Beachfolks, The way around your problem is to wear a cring as well! It keeps everthing in place and it is much easier to put the Testosterone pouch or their even smaller version on. The thing with the black colour is if you go to the trouble of being totally waxed why wear something that looks like you havn't, waxed/shaved, from a distance. I think Koala could take a leaf out of Dore's books and use more interesting fabrics even a range of solid colours woul be better.

Re:Baggies - Stringless - strapless or C-string suits for males. (Suits with no side straps)

Spent the day on the beach yesterday in my homemade red mesh baggie.  Felt great, like I was naked.  One problem, though.  As I don't shave, and though I'd tucked my pubes in before hitting the beach, there was a little slippage thru the day, especially after swimming.  Unable to readjust things in public, my bush was out there most of the day.  Though the breeze rippling thru felt good, I think it was too indiscreet.

An idea:  a sock jock that catches under the balls as usual, but instead of a string around the waist, have strings from the top corners of the pouch go up and tie around the neck.  Keeps your backside bare, your sides, too, but provides some bush coverage.  Does anyone know if such a suit exists, and if so, who manufactures it?  I'd love to try one out.  Thanks.

Re:Baggies - Stringless - strapless or C-string suits for males. (Suits with no side straps)

Date Posted:07/07/2009 12:40:36Copy HTML

I've seen a suit like that a few years ago, with a big loop that went up over the top of your head, around your neck.

I've experimented with straps and baggies and found that such a geometry when taut most of the time will just yank off your cover when you bend back or straighten up---most often just standing up from sitting!!  I think this is why you don't see them for sale.

Having one string up the front, one up the back evens the forces out- and as a one shoulder slingshot has proven to work. Dore has had a design like this- two part sac, with the c compartment ending in a metal ring attached to the front string.  The B compartment has one string that goes in the crotch. I don't have one but I'll bet this 12 oclock position is maintained only when standing erect (your body erect!)- and I'll bet there's slumping in any other position.

Anyone own one of these suspended suits- I think they were "horizon ring sling shots"  (not to be confused with horizon sling shots which have the self suspending shaped pouch and two straps coming up front over the chest)

Man you gotta shave with these or you'll fall out and the public pubic hair display will make some people mad.

I wear a Dore slingshot often at the beach. I find it very confortable. When I wear thongs or g strings I am constantly adjusting the side straps. The slingshot eliminates this problem plus you can swim, surf, dive, whatever, and it stays put.

I have worn a Tendenze slingshot at the beach and around the pool area too, the product is very comfy and a real head turner.  I've actually got about 6 of these in different plain colours, they were very expensive but worth it as the lycra is very thin which boosts the comfort level, and they have been made superbly well too.  I've also got some Skinz slingshots, but I find them too tight particularly between my buns, consequently when worn for a length of time it becomes irritating.  The slingshot for me is a very unique suit, and I am all for wearing something very different from the mainstream, I guess also, that we all have to be very confident about ourselves to wear what we wear.

 String-Where is your beach?

The problem is where the beach ranger patrols and local park managements take it on themselves to extend existing coverage laws to prohibit mens swimsuits without the (useless) butt strap.  Baggies/socks etc look nude from the rear view and this seems to set the tone for the discussion with them.

Pinellas park officials from the top down ardently defend their interpretation and have attempted to put butt coverage into ordinances, are very much against any swim suit which does not have at least a butt strap.

Maryland is definitely one of the better states. I've done yard work in a baggie. But, as I posted on another thread, I was seen from the back and the police were called. The Baltimore County police deemed my mesh www.bananapeelz.com borderline indecent (it is rather shear). Now, I wear a g-string if I'm going to be visibile from the street.

Bob and String -Pinellas code requires fully opaque coverage of the male and female genitalia and female breasts below the nipple area. No butt coverage is required by code although some of the rangers extend the law to require a butt string.

The requirement  for fully opaque coverage also gets very murky. There is no fully opaque swimsuit material in existance today.

Folks, We still get the over zealous Ranger who make his/her own rules. We pretty much have it made at Sandy Pt. We kind of have our own area thats known by the locals as an unofficial c/o area. We get fisherpeople and an occassional summer camp. But late August sends the kids back to school and peace will return, if only for a few weeks.

Fink-Yes, likely correct, but when the rangers make their own law, each ranger has his own interpretation. Try wearing a baggie and you will not want to go back to thongs for the freedom. Nude is even better.

I can tell you from swimming in my "manhood" baggie it's a "whole different ballgame" (pun intended) from wearing a thong or G.  You feel so free without the three strings when you move.

I'll admit you look naked from most angles and some find that offensive but it's true you are almost nude.

I once had a "modified baggie," made by a local producer no longer in business, that had the baggie type pouch attached to a thong back that ran up to a waistband that did not connect to the pouch in front.  Unfortunately, the pouch was much too shallow and would always pop off.  A suit properly made with a deep and clinging pouch would probably satisfy the ranger types who object to a fully bare bum.  Dore could surely do that.

I have worn baggies on many beaches and I usuallu only lay on my back so that the baggie can be seen by on lookers so I don't alarm anyone, and after the initial encounters are over and I feel that it won't be a problem with someone thinking I am nude I may roll over or I will put on a Bunn-G to go swimming

Mako has it right. A bunn-G (I made one with much thinner straps that is exceedingly comfortable) will make a baggie acceptable (if they are frowned on) when you have to move around. The one that I made has alligator clasps for easy put on and removal.

Has anyone had made or seen some variety in shapes of baggie pouches?

The 'banana peelz' pouches seem to be a torpedo like cut.

Some from Dore I have are not contoured and fit loose- probably better to avoid controversy.

I've got a torpedo pouch that's a conical cut- can't be pulled back to fill it if I'm too soft because the ball compartment is already tight- something cool might be a pouch with drawstring around the C and B then a second drawstring horizontal around the B to accentuate them!

I've got a missile tube on a C ring strap which is a sort of "ball baring" baggie- gives you that "condom tanline"

I think the strapless pouch suit has to be most comfortable swim suits a man can wear.  It gives a man just enough coverage that is needed and allows for great tanning.  I think guys look great in them and I wish more men would wear them.  This type of suit is very flatering to the male body.

I would like to hear from other men about their experiences wearing a baggie or pouch suit.  I have started wearing them and really love the feel and comfort of this style suit.  I found wearing only a pouch is a very mascline look.  I wish more men wore them.

I have to admit the first time I wore a pouch only suit I was a little nervous.  I was in Florida and went out to the pool where I was staying to catch some rays.  I had on a regular thong bathing suit with the pouch suit on underneath.  I got to the pool and found a open lounge chair.  There were about 15 others around or in the pool.  I put my towel ion the lounge chair and took off my t-shirt first, then kicked off my flip flops.  I then slipped off my thong and there I was standing there in just the pouch.  I was still very nervous since I was the most bare man there.

Most all of the guys were in speedos or thongs.  There was one guy there in a black g string and a couple of men in dork shorts.  As the the day went on I had several people comment on my pouch and all were very positive.    One guy in the dork shorts made very positive comment about my pouch that I could really get a great tan in that type of suit.  I swam and layed out all day in just the pouch.  It felt so good and no tan lines.

String Dude:  Here are my comments about the strapless pouch-mine is a Koala swimmers pouch.  I liked it so much i bought 2.  I virtually live in mine.  I have and currently live on a small sail boat in the caribean for the last 5 years and this is almost all i ever wear. I find them very comfortable as well as practical for some one that is on and in the water daily. I swim, snorkle, surf, fishing and run in mine. When not wearing it I am usually nude so I dont feel nude when wearing it like some others have commented.  Like you say I find it to be very masculine and flattering to the male body. And have been told so.  I also like the lack of tan lines.  Like yourself I see no need for the rear butt string of a gstring as they cover little.  It is very practical in that when i go to shore in the small dingy I dont have to sit around in a wet cold suit as it is so small it dries almost instantly.  I have worn it on family beachs, beach bars and to beach parties. However, all were in the Bahamas, Caribean, including Beeliz and Hondorus.  I have never really had any problems but all of these places are very laid back places.  And yes most of the other guys are in the standard dork shorts, with some women in thongs or gstrings. The usual comment I get is "oh I thought you were naked"-which i respond to by saying "well I am 99% naked".  Most will laugh and say something like "well the 1% that counts is covered".  Many will comment " love your cool suit".  I have actually had several of those guys in the dork shorts work up the nerve to ask where i got mine.  There have been rare occasions when some smart ass has yelled at me from afar to "put some cloths on!"-which i have just ignored without any problems.

I cant imagine this every flying up here in the northeast.  While i guess it is technically no different that a thong, I would think the "authorities" would have a very different view.  I imagine, if you really fought the issue, you would prevail.  Personally, I dont need the hassle. I will stick to my muscleskins mp thongs and leave well enough alone.
