I had another week in the surf and sun baking at North Wollongong just in a thong. Very enjoyable. I was in and out of the suff at the patrolled area (they keep saying to only swim between the flags) and then soaking up some sun, just in a thong for 1-2 hours each afternoon during the week. There were lots of people around as the weather was hot and sunny, but I had no negative comments at all. I even tried the ocean baths at North Wollongong one afternoon, and again had no negative comments. I think most people noticed, just from the expression on a few faces.

Hi Soyouthong
There are seveal beaches around Sydney which are fine for thonging.
I have been to Coogee several times in thongs, but not for a few years.
You may be the only guy in a thong at many of the beaches (eg Coogee, Tamarama, Bondi, Camp Cove, Balmoral), but there is usually no problem.
Depending on the beach and the day, there will usually be a few girls topless or in g-strings.

The weather was great for the thong to be pulled out of the draw this weekend.

Was my first time going thonging on the beach for all to see & it wasnt as daunting as i thought it might have been. Beach wasn't to populated but enuf passers by. The good thing was that no bad comments came my way but saw enough people having a look & some a double look so they must have liked what they saw.
Bad thing was that I didn't see any other thongers out down at ''the spit'' gold coast.

great day at camp cove today ... heaps of titties out and the see thru black mesh teardrop g-string really let the sun through with no-one there even batting an eyelid ... probably the last day of summer so bring on next season ...

Had my first real experience getting down to my g-string in the middle of Marubra Beach yesterday.  Good fun but very nerve-racking.  Planning on heading to the bra again today then up to Palm Beach or Whale Beach tomorrow...

Re:Beaches of Australia

Date Posted:05/01/2011 08:38:32

If you like an adjustable style checkout boodieswimwear.com ... just picked up 4 pairs of swimmers in the styles i mentioned for 30 bucks all up posted ! I've bought a few of the GIYZ Swimwear adjustable sling style previously, which looks identical to an original Boodie, but they were like about 30 bucks EACH !

Commercially, I haven't seen a decent exotic mens swimwear range in any shops in Sydney since OZ ON closed ... the best place to buy is on eBay or online, you can pick up some nice designs for realistic prices but depends on availability.

time to say bye bye to the boosies and bums on the beaches this summer however ... probably won't be heading north to the Gold Coast or South Bank this winter so I'll have to rely on Voyeurweb for my fix of beach action, or inaction as the case may be ....

btw looking forward to the new pool opening up next to Central station next summer ... I've worn my Joe Snyder Micro Thong there without any hassles whatsoever when it was the old pool, and the new one looks like it has spacious sunbaking areas laid out ... gotta love the cosmopoltain nature of Sydney ... ahhh hot lazy days lounging around on Coogee beach with a nice row of brazillian bums almost within stroking distance ... titties of all shapes and sizes and colours jiggling everywhere .... girlies making comments about my little cossies like ' ... that guys in a g-string!' and ' ... oh, thats so cute!' ... and ' wow, he's got a brown bum !' ... heaps better and less expensive than a night at the cross !

I love how the manufacturer of some cheap swimgear makes up multiple profiles and tries to sell thier stuff on this board.  Can't you just be honest and post one post asking people to check out your site instead of hijacking multiple posts trying to sell your stuff?

I will be going to Sydney over New Years on vacation and stay for a week. Haven't really been to the beach in Sydney before. Any suggestions as to which beach I should be heading for some butt tanning? And is there any good stores in Sydney selling thongs/swimwear that I should have a look at? Thanks for advice.

Re:Beaches of Australia

there are no stores here that sell thongs,  but ironically we have an aussie website that sells thongs deejay.com.au.. and to sun the buns I'd say Sydney: Lady Bay (aka Lady Jane), Obelisk, Cobblers South Coast: Werrong, Armonds North Coast: Birdie, Samurai, Grassy Head

Perfect beach weather today on gold coast, so decided to put on my deejay ibiza thong and head to the beach. I decided to go to main beach and set up north of the surf club. After putting on the reef oil I headed down to the water to wash my hands off and back to my towel in just my thong, hat and sunnies. There were a few people walking along the beach, but nobody seemed to mind at all. I only saw one other thong wearer today, who was a woman who set up not far from me and stripped down to a nice black thong as soon as she got to her spot. Was nice to see someone else comfortable to wear a thong at the beach, but would be nice to see a few more. About 11.30am I decided to head home. Usually I just get dressed again where I am and walk along the beach to my car, but today I thought I will walk along the beach, going passed the busy patrolled area and along to where my car was parked in just my thong, hat and sunnies. It Felt great heading along the beach showing my buns, passing plenty of people, some including women who had a little smile on their faces. I didn't get one stare or comments from anyone, which was nice. I hope more people, both men and women get out to the beach this summer and dare to wear a thong, which feels great to do.

Went to Broadbeach today. Wore my MS zebra classic. It was really windy, really cold water for swimming, but a cloudless sky perfect for tanning.

I too copped a few giggles from the larger groups of little teenagers - I did set up near a patrolled area - but none of the little punk boys were game to go too overboard with the audible comments.

Can't wait to do it again soon.

Anywhere on the Gold Coast shore. But maybe not so much the beach directly in front of Surfers. It's always really crowded, with beach vehicles coming and going and kids tossing footballs back and forth where people are trying to lay out.

Unless of course you want to catch some attention :).

Re:Beaches of Australia

I wouldn't be too hopeful of an 'empty' beach on the GC, and certainly not 'lots' of them!

Try the northern shore of the Spit up from SeaWorld, or over on the ocean side if you want to avoid crowds as much as possible. Main beach was quiet-ish, and very relaxed and tolerant I found. School holidays at the moment, so good luck!

my wife and I went to the spit at southport yesterday. i had my red the-bikini thong on and my wife had her pink micro the-bikini g-string on. we layed out in the sun for a few hours with lots of people going by and 2 couples stopped and threw a ball around for an hour right in front of us.
We got lits of looks and nit a single comment. So its definetly a place to thong at happily still.
We went directly oposite sea world.

Went to Twin Waters resort and the beach over the road is great for thonging. Not to much foot traffic and plenty of beach to choose from or walk
along. There are patroled parts so its safe to go swimming. Now just to get my wife into here thong bakini.

great day for thonging today but did not see much of it ... I may well see u sometime at Reef Beach, it's a bit of a walk but unpatrolled and has that aura of 'it used to be a nude beach' about it ... so I won't be wearing too much tho ! ... crappy start to the summer again, I have a drawer full of tiny cossies and no sunshine to get out into ...

Another beautiful day to be out there in your thongs!
I spent the day at Birubi Beach - somewhere I don't usually go - and thonged right amongst the crowd around the flagged area. Walked right through it and swam with the kids. Plenty of looks for sure, but no hint of a hassle! I actually had something like the 'first time buzz' again!

What did everyone else do?

rusta,

That would be the Goldy, yes?
You've picked the best spot, I think. I really did like Main Beach, due to a few other guys and gals actually being there in thongs when I was. The vibe that I picked up on tells me that people do actually go there in the knowledge that they can wear a little (lot) less than most other places(?).
Hope the weather is kind - we look like getting 30+ down here for the weekend. Thongs ahoy!

Re:Beaches of Australia

I went thonging on sunday in across from sea world. Was a great day for it, with the tan lines comming along nicely.
Even seen my first other male thonger, even tho he was walking down the beach with a shirt & back pack on.  But I finally seen 1.

I was a bit tentative at first but then thought Ahh what the hell go for it its not your first time. It did help that the beach was getting quiter  as it was lunch time and there was a female about 20m down from me sunbathing topless.
I even got the courage up to go for a swim. Which conveniently happened at the same time as the topless lady was looking down my way. But did notice that she watched me all the way to water.

When i got out i didnt notice the rangers coming back down the beach (as was pre- occupied looking in the ladys direction) & I happened to be getting out as they went by, 1 male & 1female which she had a slight grin on her facewhilst going by on her 4 wheeler.
And for everyone's info. Not a word said by them or any bad comments from anyone but a few looks & a couple of lingering looks.

Which some of them I didnt mind as they were quite good looking.
Oh & 1 young boy with his family stopped to take a photo. Little shit.

Re:Beaches of Australia

Date Posted:11/12/2011 03:08:09

South of Byron is King's Beach (over from Broken Head) which is a nude beach. Follow the signage. It's a steep walk down steps through a sub-tropical forest area. You come down to a small, rocky, very picturesque ocean beach.
North of Byron is Belongil Beach (accessed from the highway - turn at Tyaggerah Airstrip and follow the road right to the end where you'll find the carpark - you'll likely see people naked in the carpark!). A long sandy beach where you can walk for miles either direction, and all the way to Byron to the south. This beach is a long way out of town, however. And you never can tell just what you'll see here... This is where I often park, and walk the full length of the beach to town, in just a cap, sunnies, and a thong!
About half way along this sandy strip is a creek running out to sea. On the Byron side, many people go nude, but it's not an 'official' nude beach. You can access it by turning off the road that goes into Byron from the highway by turning opposite the Caltex Service Station - you'll see carparks at intervals along this road, but go as far north as you can to get to the 'nude' area. You will encounter everything from people in t-shirt and shorts, plenty of topless and/or thongs/g-strings, and sometimes nude!
All that said, you may encounter nude people on any beach in the area, except the Main Beach and Watson's Bay area. Depends on who is where on what day, if you follow?

Re:Beaches of Australia

I was at Main beach last week. I set up at the patrolled area nearest the surf club. If it's privacy you want, all you have to do is head north.

I am yet to see another thonger - male or female - on the beach, but I don't visit that regularly.
Thongmad #198

Re:Beaches of Australia

Date Posted:12/22/2011 10:46:34

I walked a short stretch of the beach late on Tuesday afternoon. Went on from the entrance past the Seaworld Resort - there is a small road opposite going over to the 'lake' side - and went south to the first set of flags (would be tower 44 or something like that?) Left the car in just a hat, sunnies, and thong - nothing else needed! Saw a guy and his wife come over to the beach from the lifeguard tower, and they came north a short way. She had a very narrow backed string suit on - maybe 4 inches at it's widest, and he had a speedo on. When they sat down, and had saw my thong, he changed into a black string sided thong. So yeah, others do wear them there!
A bit breezy. but still a nice walk in the sun!

aussiethongguy

Depends how far out i want to travel.

I live in the Werribee area & sometimes just head down to the local Werribee South beach & find a nice spot away from people. If i feel like traveling i will travel into St Kilda, Port Melbourne, South Melbourne area, these areas are pretty well known for thonging & you will definitely see thongers down there.

The only other place i travel to is Black Rock beach, which is along Beach Rd heading towards Frankston.
