I hope someone can contribute more places where we can swim in our thongs inside during the winter months.  Hotels and Motels can meet this challenge, but going more than a few times a season can get pretty expensive,  so places with monthly memberships if closeby or pay-as-you-go establlishments might be better.

For example, I go to Cleveland quite a bit, but usually only for the day.  I would gladly leave a bit early (and/or come home a few hours later) if I could find a thong-friendly place along the way where I could swim or at least use a hot-tub.  When I go to Washington DC from Ohio, I will stop at Berkeley Springs, WV.  This town is only about 10 miles off the highway and there is a state-run bathhouse with private soaking tubs where you can wear as much or as little as you like.  They also have other services, but you really should set up a reservation well in advance since it is very popular, especially with teens 16 and over who can skinny dip at the bath house with friends of either sex.

15 minutes off the highway, an hour at the springs, another hour for lunch and to look around town, and 15 minutes back to the highway eats up two and a half hours, but split this in two by leaving an hour and 15 minutes early and getting to your destination an hour and 15 minutes late, and you can have a nice winter get-away for about $20 plus lunch if you buy it.

Likewise, a trip to anywhere in the area -- Chicago, Detroit (does anyone go their voluntarily), Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburg, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Louisville KY, Lexington KY, Nashville, etc. could be enhanced with an overnight stay at a place midway to your destination or a place where you could do some swimming or soaking in a hot-tub in your thong.

Another place is the Quality Inn motel in St. Mary's Ohio.  While you can stay there the night, you also can just use the pool for a few dollars entry fee.  The pool area is nice, but not as large as it appears on some of the web sites.  Still, it is quite a nice pool for a minor motel in a small town.  The pool is right across the lobby from the front desk, so they can see what you are doing and wearing, but so far, we have not been turned away simply because we were wearing thong swimwear (I kept my top on).  The only bad thing is that the pool area get pretty damp, and on colder days, the heating systems, both in the pool room and for the heated water seem to barely keep up, if they keep up at all.  Ask to check the water temperature before handing over your money or planning on staying the night and using the pool.

Re:Best Ohio/Midwest winter thonging places (probably motels, spas, or health clubs)

I'm from the Midwest and this one of the many reasons why I hate the Midwest. I have left the area and returned many times though -- and that is all about money. I've lived in Las Vegas twice... but some of the exact same jobs (even with the same corporations) pay about HALF or less as what they pay in the Midwest. This is disappointing and it just makes no sense. So, due to money, I keep turning around and going back to the Midwest. And then I hate it and regret it. Anyway, to get to the point... It is just so expensive to travel to the few places in the Midwest where thonging seems to be accepted or tolerated, such as the Quality Inn that you mentioned. And then half the time you go, something goes wrong... such as a big convention or group taking over the hotel or pool area... or the pool temp, or the pool being closed (even though when we called, they said it was open). Or, even better, when security or a cop tells you that you "need to wear a more TRADITIONAL swimsuit" even though thongs and g-strings are legal. << I've even been told that at a motel in Fort Lauderdale, FL after they got new owners and management. I had been there many times and I was never the only one wearing a g-string. I used to go to the Executive Inn in Louisville, KY... they had two pools... one inside and one outside. The hotel was a big circular (sort of) design with the inside of the circle containing the pool, a bar, and some other areas... you could walk the halls in your thong as long as it looked like you were going to or coming from the pool and some guests were shocked, some weren't, but staff and security was OK with them. That was the greatest place and I had been there many times. But they demolished it to build a new hotel -- and the lot has been vacant for at least a decade. :( Anyway, I Have no good news or answers. I wish I did. I've been all over Florida seeking employment but I have just never found anything that would pay more than just barely paying the rent alone. That's where I want to be. But you can't have everything you want. :(
