Re:Brazil Date Posted:12/15/2020 10:15:51Copy HTML I have a friend that grew up in Brazil and goes back to see family for two months every year. She has often said that thongs for women are the norm for the beaches of Brazil. She tells me that there are not many women that wear full coverage suits to the beach. Of course she wears a thing bikini both in Rio and here in the States.

Re:Brazil Date Posted:12/17/2020 01:40:20Copy HTML My friend said there are a few men but mostly men wear sunga suits. She did say she was going to bring me back a true Brazilian Thong and have me model it for her.
Having never been to Brazil I can’t say first hand how many men wear thongs on the beaches there.

Re:Brazil Date Posted:12/17/2020 01:03:18Copy HTML @RapidBlue, what does she say is a true Brazilian thong for men? Thin/wide straps, low riding or high cut etc? Would be interesting to know! I didn't even know thongs were a thing at all for men in Brazil. I was under the impression that they are the norm for women but a taboo for men, just like Tangapreta implies.

Re:Brazil Date Posted:12/18/2020 06:38:34Copy HTML I’ve been to Rio. It’s true all men wear sungas. I don’t remember I saw any man in swim brief, but definitely didn’t see any thong man. I’m curious to see what she brought back to you.

Re:Brazil Date Posted:12/18/2020 12:56:19Copy HTML I bought a true brazilian thong to my wife a few years ago.
For true brazilian thong, the fabric is very much thicker and always lined. So it is impossible to have a cameltoe.
Moreover, there are less stretchy, so they hold perfectly and do not move, even in the waves. They don't loosen with water.
For my wife, the front side of the true brazilian thong was narrower and low waist.
With her brazilian thong, my wife needed a brazilian waxing.

Re:Brazil Date Posted:04/20/2022 05:19:48Copy HTML Are there any beaches where men wear thongs? All of the beach videos I see are in Rio, where it seems almost all women are wearing thongs. But you never see a guy in anything smaller than a sunga.
Hoping to go to Brazil sometime - I know my wife will get to wear a thong no problem. I would like to wear a thong as well, but would prefer definitely not to wear anything larger than a regular speedo. |

Re:Brazil Date Posted:04/20/2022 11:48:24Copy HTML From what I heard is that ZERO men wear thongs at Brazil beaches (in the whole country ,which is quite big)
However lots of men wear sungas (more or less like speedos)
A guy wearing a thong will definitely NOT be seen with friendly eyes
But remember : not everything is black and white : there are "shades"
Why don't you just wear a very skimpy non thong rio swimsuit ?
Just like this one :
https://skinzwear.com/product_detail.php?prodID=16354&name=Sunseeker-Micro-Pouch-Half-Back-Bikini-in-Super-ThinSKINZ-Exotic-Tropics
If I were you I'd go for one of those (unless you want to be all stressed out & worried wearing your thong)
It's just my humble opinion
Keep us posted of your Brazil vacation |

Re:Brazil Date Posted:11/30/2023 06:19:58Copy HTML Yes I would definitely wear something like that in Brazil. I even love the tropical pattern on that. I wish that things were different for men, because I would love to have that experience of wearing a thong in Rio - but something small like the suit you provided the link to would be fine. |

Re:Brazil Date Posted:12/01/2023 08:24:06Copy HTML I've mentioned this in another thread before but I spoke to a girl from Brazil a while ago and asked what the deal is with men's swimwear over there and she said the only men that wear anything smaller than sungas are camp gay men as it's a very macho culture over there. What a shame! I guess at least the female eye candy is in abundance. |

Re:Brazil Date Posted:12/02/2023 12:58:15Copy HTML I wore thongs and even a missile pouch g-string from 3rd November to 17th November. Each day I walked through Copacabana Beach from beginning to end. A lot of giggles and laughing, in my opinion this was a childish reaction. The mere look of a male thong let the cleaning staff out a guffaw. I didn't care at all, because I got my thong tanlines! |

Re:Brazil Date Posted:12/18/2023 08:26:30Copy HTML It's definitely counterintuitive. I've been. I wore short square cut trunks when I went. Not quite a sunga but similar. Board shorts to them = gay. Men in thongs to them = gay. The friends I went with all wore boardshorts. They got the weird looks, I fit right in. So basically, unless you are wearing a sunga you are "gay."
There's this completely false preconceived notion that the "women their go to the beach wearing miniscule string bikinis and take their tops off." The reality is all the women from 5 years old to 85 years old (maybe older), wear cheeky thong bikinis. Topless is illegal. True micro bikini g-strings are rare. You'll see more thongs there than anywhere in the world. However, go to South Beach Miami on a weekend and you'll see more g-strings and micro bikinis than you ever will on Copacabana, Ipanema, Barra, etc.
It is an awesome, amazing place to visit. But by no means is it the mecca for male thong bikinis and/or nudism. |

Re:Brazil Date Posted:05/21/2024 04:45:17Copy HTML Been watching Youtube video labeled, Sunny beaches. Streamed video titled "5000 Brazalian Women on Leblon Beach Brazil". They earn money online and chill in Rio de Janeiro.
Anyone watch this endless long loop stream?
Don't understand how camera guy can be so bold. Walking into groups settled all the thong wearing gals bikinis. Women are not creeped out with camera dude recording. This video stream almost makes me uncomfortable as he walks along into peoples close knit group. Maybe he has sign along with tripod he is wearing making people feel at ease for whatever reason.
Not one male seen in a thong along the entire beach. Tells me beach is not as friendly to certain style of attire of men thonging. Only imagine myself walking along the beach POV the camera lens of the stream how many would react to my thong.
Unless you have certain "look" that is not threatening or at odds with their accustomed seeing. Appears 95% of people are friendly willing to wave to the camera or simply ignore it. Only few circumstances noticed couple posh divas turn away noticing the camera or put their hand up covering the face.
Doubt very much a male like myself could walk along the same beach not cause lot of childish overreactions. Which in turn makes the male thonger uncomfortable or tired of same silly expressions or fuss. Notice every gal in v-thongs have no reactions from anyone on the beach excepted only the pervy cameraman getting upfront and personal views of gals buns and bodies.
We falsely believe times have changed men being accepted in thongs in place where female thongs are abundant beach wear.
Oddly enough male wearing a thong on the beach many cultures assumes they are gay. In reality many gay beaches men are wearing sunga or square cut boxer briefs as uniform of choice.
Glad clothing optional beaches do exist in my neck of the woods since many will ignore whatever your wearing being care free environment. Feel sorry for a cultures that propose beach thonging but only for woman sexual discrimination. There must be somewhere in Brazil tranny, gay beach which you only see shemales in thongs. |
