Scene: Late 80s, the southern end of Bondi Beach. 100s of females aged between 18 and 40. Probably 90% topless, 30% wearing thong type swimwear. This would have been the peak of skin exposure on a popular non-nude beach in Australia, maybe even the world. Number of guys, other than myself, wearing thong type swimwear on any given day; maybe one.

There will be the occasional sighting if you make a point of looking for them on specific beaches. A couple of young English guys in some weird one sided and bag type creations. I'm sure I've said it elsewhere - a great way to show male thong wearers as just plain silly. |
