I'm heading up to the Gold Coast for a thonging holiday in September and I'm looking for recommendations on the best beaches for thonging in the area. I've seen a couple posts by people who've thonged there before. Sounds like I'll be spoilt for choice of beautiful beaches! Does anyone have any experience thonging there? If so, please let me know. I prefer public beaches which are suitable for swimming, sun tanning and walking, and which are reasonably busy, I'm very much happy to be seen. Thanks!

Currumbin, Kira and Main Beach are great. Surfer’s Paradise is busy. Hit me up on a weekend if you need a friend

Any recommendations welcomed. I’ll be around there on vacation in December and January. Would welcome some company while tanning and beach walking.

I got lucky with the weather, every day was sunny and warm, a week later and the weather would not have been very good for thonging. I'm going to do a full write-up on my Gold Coast thonging trip to post on the board in 'Personal Experiences' soon. I'll let you know when it's posted.

If you get restricted access messages, use the Sign Out option from the menu at the top right, clear your browsers cookies, then Sign back in.
Please cutback on starting new threads. Post replies to to existing threads on the subject.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again. This will give you clean posts.
