Do you have something personal against me.  Everytime I make a post you seem to downplay it.  I ask very specific and pertinent questions about wearing thongs and I have to re-post to get the answers I want.  What is your problem?  I have read some pretty stupid and redundant questions asked on this board and yet you make we WORK to get the answers to my questions.  Yes, it is YOUR board, but you might try to be a little more accomadating to the people that have the same passion as yourself about wearing thongs.

You asked a question about thongs on cruse ships.  No problem with that.  The problem was you started a new thread to ask about thongs on cruse ships.  We already have several threads about thongs on cruse ships, with recommendations about which cruse ships are thong friendly and various peoples experiences on the ships.

The goal of this board is not just to answer the question of the moment, but to build up a large repository of information that people can browse.  For this information to be useful, somewhat coherent and readable we try to keep the questions and comments about a subject all in one or two threads.  This makes it easy for readers to read through the comments in a chronological fashion.  Often they find the question they have has been already asked and answered by people who have gone before.

The second reason for keeping things about the subject all together is that people can 'Subscribe' to a thread. (notice the Subscribe box when replying in a thread).  This generates messages to anyone who has subscribed to that thread. So by asking your question in an existing thread people who are knowledgeable about that subject, and who have subscribed to the thread on that subject, are likely to respond promptly. This improves the quality of the answers you get. On the other hand, if you start a new thread you are hoping the knowledgeable people just subject stumble across your new thread.

Note that I did not just delete the new thread, I sent you a private message suggesting you ask your question about thongs on cruse ships in one of the existing threads on thongs on cruse ships. Sometimes I even go to the trouble of doing a search and looking up the correct thread for you.  This time I did not, I just suggested you ask the question in the existing cruse ship thread.

You are right, there are "some pretty stupid and redundant questions asked on this board".  Most of the time, if it is in the correct existing thread I let it fly, but I do try to catch the ones that are starting a new duplicate thread.

I wish I could tack on a new thread to an existing thread but the design flaws in the Aimoo database and the software for merging the threads makes this unworkable.  If a question is a reply to an existing thread, and is in the wrong place I can move it to the correct, or more appropriate one. I just can't do this with questions that start a brand new thread.  (I could with the older software but not the current version.)

So nothing personal, just trying to keep 5,000 plus threads with questions, suggestions, replies and comments from over 15,000 users all sorted out - on my free time - for no money.

ther ar some user who thnk i h8t em cos thy cnt use puntuaton or 5pek 1337 - In there case I probably do.

UPDATE:
While I was writing this post someone just started a new thread called "what thong are you wearing now".  Maybe they don't notice that we have a thread called "What thong are you wearing now" that was started back in 2004 and already has eight hundred and eighty two replies.  As a result that new thread was deleted just seconds ago. I did not even send that person an explanation, so I must like you more than them.

Recently I noticed some comments on the THONGBOARD disparaging it and deriding some of the contents.
As for myself, I find the Board to be entertaining, useful, and a great resource to find other thongers.  I think that it is valuable to all thongers.  As with most things of this nature, you can find things that may be negative to you.
I for one thank JM_Runs for creating this resource, which is valuable to me.  I think that he should be congratulated for the effort that he put in to create and his efforts to maintain it.
Thank you JM_Runs.

Thanks - Donation button top left.
All donations go to pay for hosting page views, I get absolutely diddly squat.

I second Sipper's remarks - well done JM Runs. I have been enjoying your message board for years now. And I'm ashamed to say I've only just made my first donation to running costs. So come on folks, if like me you haven't given yet, bung a few dollars/pounds/kroner/euros into this board's kitty.

JM Runs. I tried to make a $50.00 contribution to support your excellent work yesterday with my VISA card. How can I verify that you received it other than waiting a month for my next statement? I was not redirected to another site, and after running a virus scan I found a couple viruses on my computer. Feel free to send a PM to my profile if you wish. Thank you for all that you do for the cause.

JM,
I recently noticed the following at the top of the page (though I admit it could have been there for ages):-
Dear members, Thanks for your long support! We have changed the policy so that the readers of adult forums will no longer be charged a fee .....
Does this mean donations are no longer required?

No we are NOT an adult forum.  For a while they tried to run a second business where there were adult forums, with each member paying a monthly fee for accesses.  I did not think it was a sound business model and it looks like they have given up on the idea. We were never classified as an Adult forum and it has no affect on us.

If you get restricted access messages, use the Sign Out option from the menu at the top right, clear your browsers cookies, then Sign back in.
Please cutback on starting new threads. Post replies to to existing threads on the subject.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again. This will give you clean posts.
