I'll pass on a link to this thread to Jose at Joe Snyder to see if he can add anything or at least make him aware of it.

I love the JS capri and thong in lime and in white.  They both look very good walking around the resort when on vacation, especially with a good tan.  When I get in the pool or ocean, yes, you can see right thru them is true.  If I am concerned about this I simply time my exit so that no one is
directly in front of me unless I want them to see exactly what I've got.  I do feel a total shave with either of these suits is pretty well mandatory.

I love Joe Snyder's thongs but I've also had lots of problems with the main threads coming undone.

I've often had Joe Snyder thongs with lose threads even out of the packet brand new and most of mine develop lose threads after their first wear.

Normally I cut the lose threads off and make do. On a few of my thongs I've resorted to resewing some of the seams.

The product is not perfect. The reason I love the product though is I think they make me look good, and for the sports I do daily, they wear perfectly under lycra and triathlon suits.

I have had JS at times over many years. It is an old brand made in Mexico. Being that it is made there don't expect there to be superior quality control. I have found average to below average in quality. Like the other guys said the treads come loose and the quality of the lycra spandex is not the best. I would buy a brand like Skinz, BodyAware, Dore, or others if you expect to get a quality suit. You only get what you pay for.

Not to get too legal but in the UK it is the supplier ie Joe Snyder Co Uk who is responsible for supplying goods of merchantable  quality. If the supplier has problems with his manufacturer ie the Mexico factory, that is his problem, not that of the customer. Whether it is worth the hassle to follow this up is a separate issue. It may be easier to vote with one's feet!

Like i said before in this thread i have multiple pairs of each color thong and some of the clip, capri, mesh and regular bikinis and the cheeky and the mini cheek boxers. i absolutely love JS. I never had any problems with seams coming undone or fading. i was mine with the rest of my laundry. I love them for their support and softness. I ordered all of mine from FreshPair and NUwear.com. they seem to have some kind of quality control because there is nothing wrong with the ones i have.

Received my new Joe Snyder bold suits.  I got a js silver cheeky and it fits very well.  not at all see thru but it does hug your shaft pretty well, I like it.  You could wear this one in front of your mother without a problem.  Also got a js gold capri.  Love most everything about it except that the material is not very streachy wet or dry.  the back if perfect but the front allows your sack to be quite visible  on both sides.  I am not very big by any standards but there is really no room for your balls and shaft.  you must pull them up in order to hide as much as possible and you can still see about 1 inch up your sack on both sides.  This also means you must carry yourself in the up and sideways position with the head towards one side or the other.  If you would get excited at all, I mean at all, your going to peek out the sides or top of the waistband.  I would wear this on most any beach in the caribbean but probably not around the pool as your simply going to show too much nut sack. If your pubic hair is very long above the shaft it is going to hang out the sides..no problem here as I just have a narrow landing strip.

Just bought a Joe Snyder g-string on ebay. Came in mail yesterday.

I hope this direct link works, it's the same style as this:

http://images.hisroom.com/items/joe-snyder-joes01-js02-gs.jpg

Sides of pouch are too wide!! Fail (sighs). If you could adjust the front it would be cool, but no go. Pouch is sewn into waistband.

It's too bad, it's one of the few g-strings where the part that goes up the buttcrack (i wish there was a better word for that!) is actually long enough. Most are too short.

It was like 5 or 6 bucks with shipping, so it's no big deal.

Out it goes.

I just got my first JS Mini Cheek swimsuit, and I am very pleased with it. The only improvement I can think of would be to make the leg openings more snug. This could easily be done with the addition of a narrow elastic band sewn into the material. I have now asked Dore if she could add something like this style to her lineup. A little extra pouch room is always appreciated.

I bought a bikini Capri and a normal Thong from Joe Shnyder. I wore my capri at several Frenceh swimiing pools and was fully acceptable. You are not allowed to wear shorts-type swimmwear only bikini briefs at French public pools. I turned up at one pool in the south of France having put my Joe Snyder red thong in my kit bag instead of the capri. The attendant would not allow me in in my shorts so I showed her my red thong and she said that it was fully accepatble to wear it. I wore the thong everday for a whole week and noticed more and more men and women wearing thong swimwear as each day passed. I guess I set a new trend at that swimming pool. I always wear a thong or g-string at the beaches near St Tropez and ususally walk the full 5 miles of Pampelonne beach wearing my thong. I always wind surf in a a thong either at the beach or on the lakes.

Has anyone tried to wear the Joe Snyder Kini at a public pool?

Just got 2 things in the mail from Joe Snyder through NuWear.  A large Bulge Boxer that looks and fits great and a Large Bulge thong in Navy that I'm wearing right now and love!  It looks very similiar to the Muscleskins 1/2" poser that I just got but fits just a bit better.  Actually I think the fit is fantastic.  I'm loving how it feels right now!  I also ordered a mini-cheek boxer but it is on backorder.   Can't wait until it gets in!  Very satisfied with the purchase.

I had my eye on the mini-cheek boxer for a while but I'm not willing to spend $27 for it. I saw it on sale at another vendor a while back but missed out on it. I'm used to less conservative suits than boxers but the mini-cheek part of it is kinda "cheeky" and I think it's kinda nice. Let me know how you like it when you get it. What color did you order?

I purchased a JS mini-cheek in turquoise which I wore on a Princess Cruise to the Western Caribbean this past December.  I wore it on the Sun Deck on our days at sea and the day we spent on Princess Cay in The Bahamas (the cruise line's private island).  I like the fit very well and felt sufficiently "covered" so as not to offend anyone.  I was very comfortable wearing it in such close quarters with other sunbathers.

Check Mensuas website.  They currently price it at $21.60 .

I've owned several pairs of JS over the past few years. I usually buy the squarecuts. I've noticed that they all have faded fairly quickly except for the navy blue. Also, the colors run pretty bad. I've only noticed the stitching coming undone on one pair (navy blue). I can usually use each pair at the pool about 8-10 times before they are completely faded. My orange pair turned pinkish and my white pairs turned greyish after just a handful of uses.

I really like the style and fit but hate the poor quality of the material.

Cincythong, I just bought a JS mini cheek as well, in mango.  And I bought a JS bulge thong too, in metallic red. We bought the same ones, just in different colors. Like you, I really like the mini cheek, even tho it is the most conservative thong I own. I guess because the style is unique. The bulge thong isn't too different from others I own in a similar style, but it does look to be very well made to contour to every curve. Pics in my profile.

As ballsnark said, I noticed the stitching coming undone on the three pair I own. The first was a mango JS bikini I bought of a seller on ebay, and the other two were a red JS thong and a turquise JS capri bikini off amazon. These are really comfortable and look great, but is anyone else having a problem with the stitching?

Yes.  I own four pair from the JS brand.  But luckily only one has a stiching problem, though I have worn it only three times or so.  Brand new and comming undone.  The others I have worn many and no problems.

hey, first time poster here.

Can anyone give a good summary on how the JS range appear in the water? I've been wearing thongs as underwear and just standard cut speedos to the beach and pool for quite a while but wanted to get one of the JS thongs (not the bulge one) as a first for the beach this summer.
I get the impression to steer away from the lighter colours as they become slightly see through when wet but what about darker colours? is it just a more defined outline or might I still offend some people?

thanks in advance.

Re:Joe Snyder suits

I swam in the sea yesterday in my Joe Snyder Tourquoise thong. I think it worked fine in the water and then out of the water. It was pretty damn cold in the water. I also did about one hour's walk along the beach in just my thong.

The bulge at the front is not over the top. I found my rear end got far more of a reaction from other members of the public.

Frankly, some kids laughed at me, as I was the only thong wearer on the beach, but then I've got muscle tone and an even suntan and the beer guts and dork shorts crowd have not.

For the record, for every negative noise such as a belly laugh or comment, I'd count 4 to 1 the ratio of wolf whistles, smiles, thumbs ups, photos requests, questions about what races and sports I do, and even a question from one youngster of where to buy a thong.

The Joe Snyder lycra dries really quickly and I think is an excellent material. The stiching quality however is variable and half of my Joe Snyder thongs have needed needle and thread repairs.

Thanks for the info. I think i'm going to go with them because of the whole duel use as underwear in case I don't want to wear them to the beach too often. Maybe once i'm used to it and know I can comfortably wear them in public i'll invest in something else just for the beach.

looking at places to purchase, I noticed that guysdrawers has 50% off joe snyder at the moment http://www.guysdrawers.com/catalog/category/brand/joe-snyder/ so the thongs are around $11 although they do have fairly limited colours and sizes.
it's a shame for me though because with the international shipping for that site($15usd!!!!), i'm probably still better to buy elsewhere.

 hi Steampowered
If you haven't already done so, check out joesnyder.co.uk - they may offer a more competitive shipping rate to NZ. I have bought from them, but I live in the UK, so I'm not sure what they will charge you for postage. Incidentally, I have a black Joe Snyder bikini that I've had for some years. I don't get to wear it very often, but It was my main swimwear for at least one fortnight's holiday in the Red Sea, and it's still holding up well - and personally I'd say it's my favourite swimwear.  I'd say it's definitely worth buying one to try. Very sexy to wear, but they look like a standard (if brief) bikini - so they're not embarrassing to be seen in, on the beach.

Yeah thanks,

I have checked out the UK site. In fact I think I've damn well been to nearly every site that sells them to check out the shipping, sizes, colours and other underwear thongs so I can get some to make the most of the postage. I normally get most of my stuff from mensunderwearstore.com purely because they seem to have the best range (although not always everything), a really well developed site with lots of info on it and the postage is one of the cheapest internationally at $5usd. but that site only sells the bulge JS thong, not the standard one.

I actually ended up ordering mine from Skiviez. All of my cheapest websites (including shipping) tended to have limited colours and/or not the ones I was after, and Skiviez had a deal on the main page when you signed up to the mail list, you got 20% off an order within a few days of signing up or something. So that equated to the shipping cost for me.

Can't wait to get them now.

Wow, i just received what I'd call my first ever "beach thong" from joe snyder (the standard JS thong, "03" or what not). I must admit, I ordered a size up from what I'm normally used to which is a large instead of a medium.

The fit seems pretty good, although, I always thought of myself as bang on "average sized" when not excited but these definitely make me feel a fair bit larger. The waist band is a little bit loose for my liking on a large, but if the pouch is anything to go by, I'd prefer the large than a medium. Hopefully it's just something to get used to as up until now I've only really been wearing underwear thongs. I do generally prefer a tighter feel though.

Just have to wait for warmer weather before braving the beach (for the first time) and hopefully get used to exposing a little more. :)

Re:Joe Snyder suits

rip59, what colours (yes, it's spelt with a 'U' in it!!!) did you get?

when i got my standard JS thongs i got an "electric blue" and black. the blue one fits perfectly, nice and snug and can sit at what I'd call the right level on my waist. the black thong though seems to sit slightly higher at the back, the waist seems looser and the pouch can gape a tiny bit at the sides if i'm moving about. none of this happens on the blue one though and they're both the same size.

the blue one, i'd say fits "perfectly" while the black fits "pretty good". is it just the black material perhaps having less stretch in it; inconsistent patterns JS uses; the elastic bands being miss cut, longer or less stretchy?

has anyone else had a problem with the black colour being different or did I get a slight dud?
MrN #347

Re:Joe Snyder suits

Date Posted:10/17/2011 05:47:39Copy HTML

I have noticed the same between the black and the light bluethong.

I have mediums; the light blue is a better, snugger fit, while the black gapesmore, sits higher, and has a tendency to slip down, especially whilstswimming.  I cannot determine any dimensional differences between the twobut the difference when wearing then is significant.
I have the electric blue in small size, and it is a bit too snug allround.  The stitching on the light blue and black, that are newer, has started to give up on the elastics around the pouch.  It’s just a pity I like the cut and fabric.

I picked up the Camo Buldge colour.  Like I said, seemed to fit me just fine.   Just as a comment, I have purchased many items from around the world. The biggest complaint I have is the inconsistent fit of undergarments where the only difference is in colour.  When you get down to the JS Buldge design, you don't have much room for error or inconsistent fit.  This is a quality issue that needs to be raised and replaced.  They charge good money for these garments and knock offs from China are similar in cut but haven't mastered the importance in consistent material construction.  Once they get this figured out, you will be able to buy direct at one tenth the price.
