www.kiniki.com
British site specializing in men's thongs. Excellent mail order service, the fastest I have encountered. Maybe the thong styles are a bit more conservative compared to some of these US sites but it is worth taking a look.

Has anyone tried the style they have without the back strap, just a pouch on a waist band?  I had one a while back, the elastic stretched in the pouch, but it was very comfortable.  Walking on the beach it felt like next to nude without a back strap.

Though you'd think this was a good suit for a nearing nude tan, it wasn't as the pouch was fairly big, and covered skin as well as equipment.  When the locale allowed it was easy to escape the pouch for some sun, and be covered again in one sweep of the hand.  More than once my wife thoroughly enjoyed my time outside- it's great for that!  Land or sea!

The style I was referring to is called "Swinger".  I don't know if it lives up to that name, when you walk you swing?

The Swinger was of the first products I ordered. It is a great pouch for the beach. And it is easy to slip on and off when in nudist areas.

I've not order it but going on past experience from Kiniki products it will be a big thong with lots of material. If you want the same kind of design but a slightly better fit then I would recommend a CK microfiber thong. Very comfortable and supportive and slightly less material although you still get a decent sized waistband like the Buddy thong.

Like a previous poster I too find that Kiniki thongs are slightly too large and rather baggy but I must say that the Kiniki Lloyd thong I bought recently fits extremely well and I would thoroughly reccomend it

When you say baggy, do you mean it rides to high on the hips? Like a mansilk thong?

I just received my Kiniki Prowler g string and Miles thong. Both are vey comfortable and fit superbly. The Miles has a little too much material in the rear, so it may take some getting used to. The prowler has a string-like back, but is covered in the thong's fabric, so my anus isn't rubbed raw by a coarse piece of elastic. The Prowler has a white lining, so it could double as a bathing suit. I would order more, but I'm getting to the point where my collection is in the 150 range, and I feel I'm getting a little too crazy with it. Plus, I don't like how Kiniki describes the packaged item on its Customs declaration. Not that I care about what people think, but I'm not into advertising to the Post Office what I'm wearing. Kiniki can just put, "Mens clothing" on the package, and save me the humiliation of having the mail man stare at me.

I have also found the kiniki swim and underwear seem to be too large. I tried buying a smaller size but found that although the waist is smaller the rest still seems the same and hangs baggy. I had a half back but rarely wear it.  However I did have a full back with pouch front (carnt remember its name ) and that is a great tight fit. and I have always found their thongs a good fit.

It would be nice to get a good fitting half back.

Re.  Kiniki thongs being too large, I agree entirely, I always buy a small to get a snugger pouch,  when I should be a medium size, but it seems they only just make the waist smaller, the strange thing is I have a Kiniki Kos and Reef half back tanga size medium, that are a aperfect fit at the front,  in the past with styles like sling and  Scales ect, I have shortned the under elastic, this seems to help a bit,

Has any one experiance of Intersparta products, I belive they have different styles of pouch.

I like the way their half back underwear looks.  Any experience with the fit?  I'm a medium (32-33" pants).  Also, how discreet is their packaging and do they start sending catalogs or any junk like that?  I'd be ordering to the US.  Thanks

I live in Uk and have been getting their stuff for  15-20 years. Virtually all my underwear and swimwear comes from this company. It comes in an opaque blue or purple plastic bag together with a catalogue. A free catalogue is sent out twice yearly in an envelope. Yuo would be unaware of contents of  either but as you are abroad a custom's declaration is likely to be attached. It may state contents.

I have always found their stuff to be of excellent quality especcially 1/2, 3/4 and full back. Not so keen however on thongs. Too narrow at front.

Speedy delivery

By the way the fit is usually excellent apart from thongs. Let me know styles and I might be able to advise.

The half back swimwear is comfortable though I would prefer it if front was more bikini style but fit is good otherwise.

One of my friends (male) ordered some stuff off kiniki about a year ago which included a couple of underwear thongs, a couple of 3/4 back items and a few swim thongs.

After seeing this post I asked him his opinions so I could post on here. This is what he said:

As has been said the thongs are not very good quality as they do not fit properly at the front (pouch a bit too small and narrow)

The 3/4 back stuff he also wasn't very keen on either as (probably a personal preference) he said the elastic in the sides of the 3/4 bit kept cutting into his cheeks.

Hope this helps.

What a pity. for him. I have always found 3/4 and 1/2 comfy enough.

The 3/4 is probably daring enough for UK pools.

However sporting a 1/2 back at local pool would even raise  a few eyebrows.

Yes you have described the problems with the thongs spot on - which is a pity as the rest of their gear is usually OK. (though I haven't tried strings or other extreme micro styles)

Make sure you use sun tan lotion when using 1/2 and 3/4 backs. Its very easy to get sunburn on a tender area.

Kinik's backs description is a bit strange . I was thinking about the Brazil trunks so I could go to my local pool which it describes as a half back (it looks much fuller to me) wheres the tangs which I have are also half backs (but seem like quarter coverage) and I dont feel inclined to use those . Could anyone confirm that the Brazil is nice and excitingly brief or will I be disappointed with a boring suit

I had a kiniki 3/4 back swimsuit and it was a lot larger than I anticipated and not a very good fit, however I have a kiniki thong swimsuit which is superb. The tangas look good but the side straps are a little too thin for me. Pity they don`t do a better shaped 1/2 back.

I got a half back in python material a few years back. Nowhere near as skimpy as the tangas but revealing enough. Alas they don't seem to do anything like it now.

Just received the latest Kiniki catalogue by mail.

This features a higher than normal number of new lines -  newer fabrics (lace) and some highly colourful items as well as their usual items. They vary from shorts through to thongs. I don't think I will go for anything at present  though the "Tobi" halfback brief (not swimwear) looks alluringly small!

Has anyone tried this style yet?

Hi

I have just got my new catalogue  and as you said,  its nice to see a few more styles. I liked the look of the Tobi and the clip side tanga but my favorite is probably the Kelly tanga particularly now that they have increased the colour range. I have just ordered a Joe synder capri so I will wait to see what they are like, they seem to have more shape than the tanga style. i am not sure that I like the narrow pouch type, I have one and find its not very flattering.

Bob

Yes there appears to be an increasing number of narrow pouches in the Kiniki catalogue. I too have one (animal skin) bought a few years ago. Yes not the most flattering and does require severe trimming otherwise there is a mass of hair protruding either side!  I certainly would not put them on my favourite list.

This catalogue has a reasonable number of new lines. All too often they just swimwear to front in  summer and to the back in winter! At least there are a few more items this time.

I wonder how long Kiniki will keep sending me catalogues as I have not bought anything for 12-18 months from them after 15-20 years of  continual purchase.. I have simply found other suppliers such as muscleskins and alphamoda to have better styles and materials. The tangas from Kiniki that I do have are however comfortable with plenty of lycra. They could be better cut  to make them more of a bikini style. The tangas have the appearance of a waist band with material suspended between the front and back.- yes I know this description is what most briefs are like but I still prefer a more bikini cut if you know what I mean.

Hi

I also have not bought from Kiniki for some time, My joe snyder capri arrived this morning and is an excellent fit and looks good quality, however I had to go up a size and purchased a large (as recommended), my normal medium would have been far too small.

New Kiniki paper copy of catalogue out now. I am still being sent a copy though I haven't bought anything for a good while prefering muscleskins, alphamoda and prevailsport  at present. I'm not too sure if any new styles or if it just a rearrangement of previous issues!I haven't seen anything in it that grabs my attention.

I would like to buy more from kiniki but thier styles are too conservative . I like the look of the prevail and alphamoda and muscleskins rios and v backs and intend to email kinik to move in that direction . If others feel the same then can I encourage them to contact kiniki to move towards what we want . If they thought there was a market for briefer , racier swimwear then Im sure they would go that way . The reason I liked Kiniki was that it was British and my wife thinks Im getting a bit obssessed if I order from abroad . But at present what options have we ? So get onto them if you agree and maybe we can get them to modernise !

I agree slimthong.  I wrote to them over a year ago suggesting they had more colours and fabrics and suggesting better styles. I also suggested a kiniki logo on some stuff just like wicked weasel! Their web site has a comment page and I think someone else suggested more styles. They haven't taken it up though.Would be great to buy British if we could but the kiniki stuff is being outclassed by gear elsewhere!Sounds a bit like Rover cars and look what happened there.

I ordered two styles, the St. Tropez and Lloyd thongs. the lloyd is the most comfortable but the fabric is really thin. I like the support and shape of the st. tropez a lot more. if you're familiar with the styles, you've probably inferred that i'm not into the skimpier styles...but i really like both of those. i would reccommend either.

Yes I quite liked those two and have thonged in Britain with both . The red Lloyd being unlined was good when wet but a bit too much front coverage for me but nice rear . The st tropez a bit big really but quite nice inthe white . I prefer more bikini type styles these days and am searching for styles which are pretty brief but might be JUST acceptable in the local pool . Happy thongwearing ! Paul

I agree with what has been said, I wish they would do some brighter coloures, I have just bought the Cuba half back tanga in blue, its a good fit but proberly not as brief at the back as there other half back Tangas theu do, I have never bought the St Tropez or Lloyde prefering the Hom type for beach or garden use, I would like to see the Troy style in better coloures, I have two of these yellow and purple, they have given me years of active use but will require replaceing this summer (if we get one) has any one tryied dyeing a white one ?? all coments appreciated

It will be interesting to see what the April catalogue will reveal! I have bought from Kiniki for nearly 20 years but haven't bought anything for a year to  eighteen months though they still send me a catalogue. I quite like the look of Tobi (?)briefs but other than that very little interests me. I am a convert to Muscleskins at present but would like to buy UK made stuff.

I agree big time. Same old stuff. I haven't bought anything for 18 months now at least. In fact I just received my first delivery from Skinzweaar. I am very happy with their stuff. However Customs got me for £15 -£7 to them and £8 to Royal Mail(handling charge) for three briefs on top of $20 delivery for  3 briefs at $26-$28 dollars each. As this board is about Kiniki I will make follow up on Skinzwear in a more appropriate board.

Re:Kiniki.com - from the UK

I have worn Kiniki stuff for over 20 years but have bought very little the past few years. Quality was generally OK but I agree that the styles and cuts leave a lot to be desired. I occasionally wear some Kiniki stuff but what I once thought as skimpy underwear or swimwear by Kiniki seems massive compared to my new favourites from muscleskins, skinzwear, alphamoda and prevail sports.

That said the tanga range of comic, serpent, reef etc are quite brief. Pretty small for UK pools etc. Nice materials in strong lycra-shame they don't have moe of a bikini cut to them!

Few colours that seldom change doesn't help..

I stll get the paper catalogue sent to me but wonder how long it will continue to be sent in the absence of orders.

Re:Kiniki.com - from the UK

Totally agree with both of you. Their micro range of swimwear is quite good for a modestly brief suit that you could get away with on a public beach in the UK otherwise the cut is too high and 'generous'.
sheerdelight #35

Re:Kiniki.com - from the UK

I have some of these!!!! I like the lycra material and the halfback style. They are very comfortable but as I said I now much prefer muscleskins.skinzwear. alphamoda etc due to their more bikini shape. I probably feel happier wearing muscleskins to the local pool than these tangas although there is little difference in surface area covered.

The views expressed by roninho and ukessexbob show that we agree that kiniki could do much better.

I too have been a Kiniki customer for many years. I wear both underwear and swimwear on the beach and when with non-nudist friends. Their styles are not as extreme as, say, Koala however I wear them when I cannot go nude. I do not want to go to the extreme - I merely want as much of a tan as possible - others who wear extreme suits / underwear on the beach want to display for the purpose of displaying.

New catalogue out from Kiniki with across the board reductions of 40%. I haven't bought off Kiniki for some time but some new lines now. Decided to buy 6 different styles including micro swim suit-a cross between tanga and fuller suit. Certainly bigger than what I usually wear now but I will try it out. Also ordered a "tobi" a really small half back undewear brief. Also opted for tie sided(one side only) underwear brief.

I like my muscleskins and skinzwear but they are more expensive and the latter has hvery igh mail charges - worse again if customs get their hands on these items!!!!!!!

With regards to my latest Kiniki order I only retained two out of six items - a clip side tanga and a micro swim brief. I used to think their stuff was skimpy when I first wore it but it is not aswell cut generally as my muscleskins and skinzwear - shame really.

I agree with the previous comments about Kiniki styles, this  was the first order I have placed for some years, and alot  was due to the 40% sale, I have orderd a Casterway Swim Micro for pool use.

I have a similar swim brief and although the idea is great, I find it a poor fit. It feels and looks like its been scrunched together to form a thong. Its better when used as a full back or half back, but you need to keep adjusting it to look and feel good.

After reading some of the comments posted I ordered from Kiniki recently. Here are my observations:

1. The website is fairly esay to navigate.

2. I bought a thong and low rise brief @ 40% off... it seemed like  a good deal so I thought I'd try the company out.

3. I received an immediate confirmation of my internet order. OOPS... I goofed and had placed two individual orders, but a quick e-mail to them enabled them to ship in the same parcel. Good Job Kiniki!

4. No shipping notice was sent, but a few days later I recieved a catalogue by mail with what appeared to be a shipping confirmation with the address label removed. Hmmm... did that mean that the items had been shipped?

5. Within 10 days I received the order. Very fast service from the UK to Canada!

6. Ah, the rub! Fit was a bit sloppy in the pouch. The leg and waistband was finished with an serge type sewing without elastic. In my opinion not very durable or comfortable.

Conclusion: Kiniki items are not of comporable value to other major minimal swimwear & thong manufacturers. I should have just donated some Ca$h to this board's operating expenses. That would have been better value for my money.

Ok, just got my order for 3 Pieces from Kiniki.
Gentsmart 1/2 back brief, Clip Tanga 1/2 back and Kelly Tanga 1/2 back.

I've got too many thongs already, and what attracted me was the 1/2 backs. I think these look really sexy if it fits well. I'm an Asian with 33-34", and I ordered Medium for all 3. And its fits pretty well for me. In terms of quality of course there are much better ones out there. But then again, I bought them for the 1/2 backs which is NOT common in other brands, and I'm wearing the Clip Tanga 1/2 back under my jeans now. I like how the half back feels and looks. So I'm happy. Moreoever they are all at 50% off, so I think its pretty okay in price.

I tried a few things from them recently because of the 50% off sale.

The swim micro is a small speedo-style and fits nice although it could use a little more room up front.

The swim tanga is the 1/2 back style...not sure about that one yet.   I need to fuss with it a bit to see if the back will fit how I expect.  It's something different, anyway.

The swim thong I really like.  I ordered it a size down (M instead of L) and it fits well.  It's not a low-riding kind of thong, it's kind of like a Boodie thong (boodieswimwear.com) but better made and not adjustable.

Took about 2 weeks to get here by Royal Mail to the USA.
