Overall good experience at PH. But paying 500 for a cup of coke seems outrageous but it's Vegas

Just got back from Vegas last week.  Stayed at Luxor.  Four of the five pools were closed off due to maintenance/construction so it was quite busy and crowded.

I wore a Speedo the first day due to how busy it was.  Met two British women, one in a thong and one in a regular two piece.  Both liked the Speedo,  so I mentioned that I also brought a thong with me.  They both keenly suggested that I wear it the following day, so I did.  Had a great time!

I also went over to Caesar's Venus pool.  Hands down my favorite pool on the strip.  Probably 15-20 topless women.  Lots of skimpy suits.  Only one other guy in a thong, besides me.

Ventured to Artisan's Naked pool...only three people total there.  Pretty big let down so I'm assuming it isn't nearly as busy as when they have their Evolve parties.

I also walked over to Excalibur's pool.  It was fairly busy, but 4 or 5 ladies in thongs.  A few guys in speedos, but no men in thongs.

Overall it was an awesome trip.  I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking to break out a thong should go to the Venus pool at Caesar's.  You won't be let down unless its late fall and the sun starts casting shade sooner in the afternoon.

Any one know when it starts to get cold and they close the pools for the season?

Hey all. First post here on this board. Many more to follow. My question is about a few of the Vegas hotels on the strip. My wife and I usually stay at Bally’s. If you’re a guest at Bally’s, they let you use the pool at Paris as well because the properties are connected. A plus for a change of scenery while staying there. When at the pool at Bally’s, the most (least) I’ve stripped to sun in has been a small low cut swim trunk and moderate swim briefs. I suppose this is viewed as acceptable. I’m hoping this year to push my comfort zone and as long as it’s within the legal limit, go for something more super low in the front, maybe a string or banded side, and possibly a 3/4 or half back. Does this seem like it would be acceptable for either Bally’s or Paris. I’ve never had any concerns while wearing the previous, and I’m not going full thong right now. I’m thinking even showing a little more cheek with the half back would still keep me confident without the worry of being harassed or confronted by staff. Thanks for any advice or input.

Thong4Sun, the swimwear you describe as possibly wearing at the pools in Vegas sound absolutely acceptable. You should have no difficulties with the staff or anyone employed by Bally's or Paris. You are likely to be the only man in something so brief. I've stayed at a variety of hotels in Las Vegas and have never had an issue with what I wore to the pools. The most rear coverage I wore was 1/2 back, super low front enhanced pouch (more comfortable for me to keep everything covered and in). The least I have worn at the pools in Las Vegas has been thongs. Enjoy your time in Vegas. Wear the suit that you feel comfortable with. Feel free to push your own boundries.

RapidBlue. Thank you so much for that advice. I’m glad that I should be within the boundaries of being acceptable. I guess it really isn’t considered a thong, so my concerns should be minimal. It is kind of exciting to know I’d be the only man with something so brief on. A question on the enhanced pouch bikinis... and yes you’re right, I do prefer how they keep everything in and VERY comfortable. But as far as the enhancing pouches or bulge pouches, how are those usually accepted? I do have some nice Cocksox bikinis that are very modest in the rear, but I’m always concerned about the bulge pouch. Doesn’t that appear as if I’m ‘exposing genitalia’? Just curious how these styles are perceived.

I’ve never encountered a problem with enhanced pouch suits. It is all I own now. Even swimming laps at my gym, no one blinks or even takes a second look at me because of my suit. In Vegas it was the same as in my local gym, expect for a few woman who enjoyed. I’ve never had problems with the front of the suit I wear. Every so often I have someone get in a huff because of the back of the suit at my local beaches in the Great Lakes.

Any updates on Las Vegas pools.  Going there in June and staying with friends for a few days then maybe going to stay at a hotel on the strip  and hitting the pool in a thong.

Just got back from a long vacation and spent 4 days in Vegas on the way through, and another day on the way back.  I stayed at a friend's house, and went to the pools during the day while he worked.  I wore a Skinz M1R2 and really enjoyed all of the pools.
Went a couple of times to the Luxor, there were a lot of cheeky suits being worn there and each time there were a couple of women sunning topless by the pool or on the small grass area.  The Luxor is not a designated European type pool, but it obviously was not an issue being topless.

Also spent a couple of hours one late afternoon at Caesar's which I like.  Spent a few hours at the Mirage, which I did not care for, and wound up leaving and going to the Artisan.

The Artisan's pool is called "Naked" and it is topless.  I went there once on my way through LV and once on the way back.  The Artisan pool was closed for a few days in-between because it was just sold and they were hosting the new owners.  Will have to watch and see if there are any pool policy changes.  The pool was a lot of fun with a number of topless women, some of whom were quite affectionate and rambunctious.

Also spent a few hours at the Radius Pool at the Stratosphere.  There was one topless lady and a few cheeky suits and some too loud (in my opinion) party music.

The Luxor pool is very good for swim thong for male muscle boys and girls. I have not seen any swim jock suits yet but I think they would be great.

It was recently in the Las Vegas news that the Sapphire pool, which I thought was a $70 minimum but is actually $20 (a place to lounge/sit is $70) during the day, now permits topless sunbathing. Seeing the pictures from recent events, in seems like a sausage fest, with the pool overcrowded and the lounge chairs mostly empty.

I'll be watching to see what happens to the Artisan.  That place needed a lot of money put into it I realized on my last visit.  They were not too busy with rooms or restaurant.  I see you can rent the entire place for your group for like $8500  per night.  Some swinger groups do that.  That must mean they don't have too many reservations on the books.  It will be interesting to see if it goes more wild or more mild!!

Looking to go to Vegas soon and want to try thonging at a pool. Are the Venetian and Artesian the most thong friendly for men?

I pretty much spent the day at the Luxor pool.  Got there about 10:30 and saw that the general public area was already pretty crowded and they didn’t have umbrellas available.  So since it was vacation I splurged and spent $100 to reserver a lounge and umbrella.  Also the pay area wasn’t as crowded.  I wore my SwirlFashion thong/G-string all day.   It’s very low and shows my little landing strip.  I had a chair next to the pool so I didn’t need to do much walking around.  I got in and out of the pool several times.  The waitresses all wear but showing outfits.  I was the only guy in a thong.  I saw one guy in a speedo and his SO had on a OPT.  I maybe say 2 women in thongs.   The staff were very attentive and I ordered a couple of gin and tonics.  No comments from anyone.  Pretty much a low key day.   If you want to wear a thong and fit in I wouldn’t recommend the Luxor.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll be most comfortable at the Artesian, since I'm still gaining confidence being almost naked among others wearing board shorts. If I go on a Sunday, does the crowd change significantly? That is a party day from what I have read.

Better check their website they sometimes have closed parties or rent out the pool  .  Some of the DJ parties are open to the public/pubic and some people around here have attended in little or nothing and had a good time. I've never been there on a weekend or in the summer.

If you go to Venetian Tao Beach is not the place for men’s thongs. I work at the Venetian and the younger male crowd are not into thongs. It is abundant with the females, though. If you’re at the Venetian go to the Venezia pool. It’s more secluded and more mature, I feel.

Here's an update on the pool at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, Nevada.  I wore my Skinz g-string. I was in the middle of the pool area for half of 2 days and parts of 2 other days. Even though I had the smallest suit it didn't matter to any of the pool employees. However, late on the fourth day less than an hour before closing, I was very politely asked to cover up because of "several complaints" but just then, 10 feet from me, was a girl in a thong. First time that's happened to me.
Overall, for the four days, I still had fun.  About a third of people there were families with small children.

Over four days, on men there was one bikini, one square cut, and four mid-thigh trunks.  The guy in the square cut was there with his wife, and they asked to have a picture taken with me.  They were locals and said the GVR pool was less crowded and didn't cost as much overall as some other resort pools in town.

For women I saw a total of three thongs.  About 10% had cheeky bikinis. The cheekiest were worn by the lifeguards.  The servers for the bar wore suits halfway between a one-piece and a bikini, and some were cheeky.

Like my recent experiences at other resorts and hotels, there's overall acceptance of my small suit, and I'm just another person in the crowd.  I can understand that a private business like a hotel wants to please as many guests as possible, so they're compelled to act on complaints, and male thongers are rare.  And the clientele is mostly Americans.

Online reviews of GVR show lots of dissatisfactions from unhappy guests, so maybe that's part of the issue here.  Now I'm motivated to give the hotel a bad review, because I was a paying guest too, and my room rate resort fee cost more than a day pass for use of the pool.
