Last week, the city introduced a new regulation allowing beach wardens to ban visitors who refuse to strip down in designated nudist areas.
The measure comes in response to “numerous complaints from people who felt harassed in the naturist areas,” Moritz Naumann from Rostock Tourism told CNN.
However, he emphasized that the rule is only intended to be enforced “in case of conflict.”

I don't know why nudists would care whether there were textiles around on a designated nude beach. As someone who loves being naked on the beach I think it's more exciting to be nude among a mixed crowd than having everyone be 100% nude.

The typical way an official nude beach becomes an official textile beach is through a textile invasion where 80-90 percent textiles complain about ewwww nude and some local officials go with the majority and poof gone! That's a publicly owned beach- now at a private "nudist resort" of course nude is required because some nudists are not tolerant of swimsuits and some believe micro and "illegal" micro swimwear is too sexual and that's they're right if it's private.

Whilst it doesn’t bother me, some nudists feel more comfortable when everyone is nude. We all have differing levels of confidence.

I get it. There have been numerous times at Haulover and Blind Creek I've seen bands of tourists cruising down the beach, phone in hand, gawking at the nudes. One time, I saw some big black woman go scold a group of teens "Strip down, or get lost" 

I think there's a place for common sense boundaries like this...

There was year at my clothing optional beach regular nudist were hostile with people lurking, visiting but never participating in removing any clothes off. It was blamed on local television station highlight hit pieces about clothing optional beach being viable.. Which brought sudden interest for bored non nudist to leer, visiting, watching others at the beach. Crowds were evident they were never interested in a beach lifestyle. Multi television stories about the clothing optional beach highlighted people’s intrigue but never participate. Only bringing annoyance to television reporter cameraman not being welcome.

Only naked news network visits to the beach were left alone. Since the various sexy topless diva reporters respected our nude lifestyle. 

Being long time hardcore nudist began to feel vibe at local clothing beach having more people wearing beachwear than actually being nude. Only handful regular longtime nudist join and participate forming niche group where some wear clothes. Vibe on the beach isn’t what it use to be when first began the nudist journey. Lot of regular nudist in niche group had tiny sign flags circling bordering their settlement area as “only nude people allowed to enter” . Soon they all disappeared either dying of old age or moving on to other nudist camps. Leaving the clothing optional beach to few individuals while majority is clothed. Leaving only girls wearing thongs  who feel more comfortable at the nude beach then textile family crowded beach.
