I've just come back from a month in the Philippines, spending our time on Palawan island. One beach in particular, Vanilla beach , El Nido, had the majority of women wearing thongs. Sadly, no other male thonger than me. We were only at one other beach resort, where a big percentage of women were wearing thongs, plus a lot of cheekies. Why don't guys realise that huge shorts are not environmentally friendly? They use up so much material, wasting resources. I mean, how many thongs or G's could you make out of one pair of shorts? They should have realised this long ago!
