Phuket: You can visit Naithon beach, Bangtao beach, Kamala beach, Karon beach and Kata beach, if you like the beach walking in thong or g-string, Bangtao beach is good.

You can stay in Naithon beach resort, Laguna, Bangtao beach lagoon bungalow, Best weatern premier bangtao beach resort, they are thong friendly and close to the beach, and you can wear thong or g-string in your room and walk to beach.

Yes, I have to agree w/ Bagapon. My wife & I have been thonging on Phuket Island beaches, and thongs are not uncommon for men, and are very common for women. Topless women on the beach runs 50% or so on Phuket or Samui.

Aside from Ko Chang (near Cambodia), I've seen thongs worn by men and women on every beach I've ever been to in Thailand.

Aside from myself, I've never seen male thongers on Ko Chang, but have seen many females thonging there. I once saw a lady wearing her thong down the street away from the beach on Ko Chang. Looked absolutely excellent! Of course I wore a Koala suit on the beach and to the beachside bars with no problems at all.

I've worn a short tank top over a Koala mesh thong inside of the indoor shopping mall in Pattaya---------no problems whatsoever.

I have a rule when I go to the islands in Thailand, and that is: I wear nothing but a thong, with only a shirt to cover up with on occassion. Of course I'll dress up for dinner etc, but if it's daylight, then why oh why should I overdress in paradise?

I got two weeks vacation last January and took my wife to Ko Phangan near Samui. 90% topless women and 75% of them were thongers. My wife & I managed to stay in thongs/g-strings 99% of the time...........Guess what? That was 8 1/2 months ago, and guess who is expecting a baby in 2 weeks?? he he.......

I'll be on Samae Beach on Ko Lahn (Island off Pattaya) in a swimsuit too small to blow your nose with on the 10th of October. It'll DEFINITELY be either mesh see-thru or sheer-when-wet as well.

I think your "Rule" it's great, and I will put in practice all the time in Thailand, and when I can wear a thong in other places.

I worn thongs, in Mexico, SouthAfrica, Southam?ica, Cuba too, any problem with the native people,  I never hear a negative coments.  Only smiles from teenagers. 

Congratulations for the Baby, Who is a girl or boy?  I hope this baby will be a blessing to you and wife.  What will be a name?

I've NEVER had a problem with being nude at any massage I've ever had in Thailand.

If it's a hotel massage, then they will provide you with a towel to use as occasional cover.

If it's a true-blue massage parlor in Bangkok, then expect to be completely nude for 1-2 hours, get soaped down by a hot nude girl who will climb into the huge hot tub/private room with you, who will then put you on an air mattress and slop hot soapy suds all over you, then massage you quite nicely, then rinse you off, then massage you again on the massage bed quite nicely.

I highly recommend Bangkok Cosy if you're ever in Bangkok. 2,000 THB ($50USD) for 2 hrs. That $50USD/2000 baht includes 1800 baht plus a 200 tip for the massuese.

Not sure if this type of svc is on offer in Phuket, but you should expect most things there to be a bit more expensive than the rest of Thailand.
