When posting a URL you ONLY need to post the section BEFORE the question mark, the '?' that you find in many a URL.

For example:   https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000266886312.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.56e93c00dD75fp&mp=1

Can be posted as https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000266886312.html

You might ask what the stuff is after the ? mark. Good question. It is a "query string".

The first part BEFORE the  ?  is the address of the web page, the part after the  ?  is the query string.

A long URL with stuff after the  ?  means the referring web page and browser is sending the website more information than is needed to find and display the page.

The extra information might be messaging from one website to another, to say "this is where the link came from remember to pay me for the referral", or it might contain the query terms the user searched for to get to that page. Sometimes it is used inside a website for tracking, from one page to the next, or to keep track of the logged in user or their shopping cart.  What ever it is, you can usually strip everything beyond the  ?  in the URL.

By cleaning up links you shorten the URL to just what is needed.
You also strip extraneous information that might identify or track your web activity.

It also seems to make the link to the page more reliable, because the website may change the way the extra information is parsed.

Get in the habit of looking for the  ?  in the middle of a URL and just copying the front part, up to the question mark.

Another thing you can do is clicking on the Reply button rather than typing into the Quick Reply field. Then, if you want to post a link, click on the little chain icon at the top of the edit window, and you can enter the text that will be displayed, separately from the link itself, like this.
If you get restricted access messages, use the Sign Out option from the menu at the top right, clear your browsers cookies, then Sign back in.
Please cutback on starting new threads. Post replies to to existing threads on the subject.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again. This will give you clean posts.
