Hello everybody!

I'm going to Seychelles Islands in May and I'd like to know if anybody had some experience there.

Surfing the web, the only informations I found are: "Nudism is forbidden, but topless is tolerated". There are no infos about thongs. My girlfriend wears some wicked weasel (not sheer, not too micro) thongs, and I wear thong too, but not so often. We would like to know if we will be able to thong there.

Thank you for feedback!

Just did a little research on the islands. As the majority of people are christian and French heritage I think that thonging with the usual caution should not be a big problem. It has been noted in previous posts that nearby countries which are predominantly Muslim may not be as tolerant.  The fact that toplessness is tolerated is a good indication.

I went to the Seychelles this year on holiday and agree with statement “Nudism is forbidden, but topless is tolerated” I mostly went topless in my wicked weasel at the beach and pool.
I was conscious not to offend anyone and wore a top when walking along the beach and covered up when away from the beach or pool i.e. when having a drink at the pool bar for example. I only spotted a few other women in thongs and no men in thongs.

If "topless is tolerated" you should be fine in a thong.  I don't think I have ever been anywhere where topless was ok but thonging was not, although I have been quite a few places where thonging was ok and topless was not.  If "topless is tolerated" (and they even advertise that fact) then they have an open mind and a good attitude so you should be fine.

Ok, here is my report for anybody else who will go to Seychelles.

First of all, it is really a Paradise. I went out of season (May), when the climate is very very good but there are very few tourists. We stayed alone in beautiful, secluded, deserted beaches.

Nudism is to be avoided even in those conditions: there are a lot of local boys and girls of the "touristic police" patrolling behind the beaches. They are there primarily to avoid thefts against tourists, but probably they would also say something if you're nude.
However, my girlfriend wore always WW g-string bikinis and I wore sometimes g-string, too, and nobody paid attention or minded. We also saw a lot of topless female tourists (although we were the only in thong) and nobody cared.

So, it was a very pleasant experience!

Next summer I'll probably go to the Seychelles. I like to know if men and women can wear thong on the beaches. Has anyone had experience in the Seychelles wearing thongs in the last years? Thanks

Hi guys, we're off to the Seychelles in the summer and I was hoping someone has a recent experience of thonging there? I am toying with the idea of adding some half back thongs to my collection for this trip just in case! Should I bother?

Also, a lot of my thongs are TM brand and fairly see through. What are your thoughts on whether slightly sheer thongs are acceptable where nudity is forbidden but topless is tolerated?
