But okay lah...nobody care. My girlfriend was on her translucent skimpy bikini top and I think people were looking at here rather than me. Sentosa beach.....BOLEH! Occasionally, I see girls in thong too! But that is once in while lah.

At that time, my girlfriend's skimpy bikini top (Wicked Weasel brand with no padding) is almost translucent (she didn't know), I think from at least 3 metres, her nipple can be seen and it was obvious. I think people were looking at her more than me in thong. Hah... So long, do not touch my girlfriend, do not talk to us, do not be itchy taking pictures. Other than that, I am quite alright.

I have tried scouting for possible thong areas there but answer is no. Personally i would also not recommend going there because the water there is heavily polluted due to boats and ships from sembawang ship yards etc. Of all the times i went there by bicycle, i always see the beach and BBQ pits 80% booked, that's during weekends. Have not tried weekdays. Also, many ppl go there for fishing. It's unlikely someone will spot you in your thong.

I was there in my Skinz cutaway string. Anyway, I was lying down near the end of Tanjung Beach and around 11.30AM heard shuffling of footsteps and it was another beach goer heading to the far end. It was another thonger. Initially was wearing something that looked like a Rio back but later had on something really skimpy and almost skin colour, from a distance looked almost nude. Anyway, about 12+PM, a couple arrived to where I was laying out and the lady removed her wrap to reveal a nice blue thong. Her bikini top was also the adjustable type and as the day progressed her top also progressively got smaller, the side of her breasts were spilling out. Anyway it was all good, the guy (dunno whether was boyfriend or husband) however was in board shorts, boring. So the count now is 2 strings and one thong. A while later there were 2 other guys who came and strip down to thongs as well, very skimpy ones I must say. So the count was 5 minimal swim wear and one guy in a board shorts. There were several other people who came and left, 2 Caucasian ladies was about 20 feet from me and one of them kept turning to look at my direction. After a while her curiosity got the better of her and she walked towards me and as she reached me she slowed down to look, at this time I was laying on my stomach so my buns was in full view. Anyway I didn't bother to turn over or anything, might as well let her enjoy the show (exhibitionist streak in me). A while later there was this couple that came towards my mat and I thought "Oh no!!! and I was hoping they would move on but no, they set their things right next to mine. So I had no choice as I head back to my towel the girl muttered something to her boyfriend, they both stared for a while and then just carried on. They didn't bother shifting somewhere else so the whole time they had a good show of me sunning my buns. Front row seats literally. HHAAHHA!!! It was a good day, my tan lines are back and its all good.

Also she wore a WW cobweb bikini with a medium size top and then it rained. She put her shorts on and we walked to Bora-Bora in the rain. Her bikini top went completely transparent and proceeded to sit in Bora-Bora drinking beer without any problems waiting for the top to fry out enough to put a tee-shirt on. She has also worn the same WW cobweb G-string and another equally miniscule G-string bikini at the Inter-Continental pool. For ladies, thongs & G-strings don't seem to be a problem, it's just a matter of the wearer having enough guts to wear... of course, no topless... yet... but we have sen two topless sunbathers on Tanjong beach...

My girl friend is Indonesian and loves the sun and sunbathing... she also loves minimalist swimwear! and WW is her favourite. She finds wearing thongs and G-string bikini so liberating! we have never had any adverse comments on Sentosa Island, Tanjong Beach is especially good, people are just well relaxed and chilled out, km.8 bar is also similarly relaxed, we have even seen Singaporean ladies sunbathing topless there on the weekend never mind in the week! Bora-bora is friendly and the staff are great, we have seen European women wearing thongs outside the bar on the beach loungers, but Bora-bora is place we go after we have finished sunbathing so it just tends to be sitting there is bikini top and shorts... My advice, go for it! Get the WW two tone and wear it! it is up to you to be daring and bold and the more people (men and women) who are, the more there will be! Regards Class 40

My girlfriend (Indonesian) like to sunbathe topless lying down to get rid of the lines, but only when it's quiet and never sits up topless or walks around or swims like that, strictly top on. However the top that is on is a WW microminimus and she is a 36C so the top doesn't cover much! Hoope this helps Regards Class 40

We have to thong at places where there's not much crowd and it always raise comments and eyebrows when you see someone in thongs here.But, this always leads to harassment from public. When i do see fellow thongers, i just look and turn away to smile to myself. I wouldn't want to give un-necessarily 'pressure' to fellow kind because we all know it's a little awkward and ill-mannered to smile at them for they may think your another 'straight' speedo, square swim trunk, board shorts guy out there leering at them.

There is no question that wearing a thong where it is not common can, as you say, "lead to harassment from the public." So to off set that hostility you need to show other thongers you see positive feedback. I agree you don't want to be seen as 'leering' at them, but you have to have a bit of courage and give them positive feedback, even if you have to risk possibly been seen as attempting to pick them up. One way to make sure your positive feedback or smile is not seen as leering or trying to pick them up is to use a clear message that shows support. I find that one of the most obvious, direct and un-ambagious signs of support is a smile and thumbs up. A thumbs up is quick and unlike a wave is not going to be confused with a pickup attempt. Waving is what people do when trying to attract attention, or the attention of a friend. Not the message you are trying to send. I often get positive reinforcement from people when I am out in a thong, but the most uplifting and clear support of my thonging is a thumbs up with a quick wide grin. Then just refocus your gaze and walk on. You can pratice the thumbs up and smile on other people too, so you are ready when you see a thonger.

Tanjong beach which is located in Sentosa island, is the most popular beach When u arrive in Sentosa, there are maps stating the location of beaches, shops, facilities, etc, so follow the sign and take the correct Sentosa shuttle bus, and u will get to places u want easily.

	Re：Singapore Thonging Date Posted：06/04/2008 01:20:59Copy HTML i was able to make it out to tanjong beach on sentosa island both monday and tuesday of this week. it is a lovely beach - even if it is man made. i walked down to the far end of the beach both days. monday i wore a dore low-cut thong and felt totally comfortable and at ease. i saw one other guy out briefly in a thong and several other guys in speedos or small bikinis, unfortunately did not see any women in thongs. the weather was sunny, hot and humid, and the water was very warm. on tuesday i wore a skins roman thong, but i was almost the only person on the beach. it was still quite warm, but a bit cloudier and there was a bit of rain at the end of my stay. this is definitely a great place for people to thong - very low-key and not very populated - and quite easy to access from the city. i hope to make it out there again thursday and/or friday for some more sun. anyone on this board have experiences on bintan island?

All the beaches on Bintan are thong friendly, beaches are long and serene, completely OK for men to thong, though I was the only thonger. Other men were in dork shorts or speedos. No women thong also, but they were all in bikinis, some topless. Actually Bintan is a great place to thong.

	Re：Singapore Thonging Date Posted：06/06/2008 01:55:53Copy HTML i was able to make it back out to tanjong beach again on thursday. it was very warm and sunny again. at the entrance to the beach there was a setup for a volleyball tournament and midway down the beach there was a very large gathering for the singapore-american school - lots of teenagers! i walked all the way to the end of the beach and made my spot in the shade of some palm trees. i chose to wear my lime green musclskins mp - first time i have worm it on the beach. after taking a dip, i discovered that it is a bit transparent, but did not seem an issue because the end of the beach was sparsely populated. as before, there were several guys in speedo-like briefs, but i did notice a guy just down from me in a g-string. he stayed out on the beach all day and was very comfortable in his suit. at one point i became a bit of an attraction for the school group kids. small groups of about six would walk all the way down to the end of the beach where i was (for no apparent reason) and i would hear giggles as they walked by. eventually the whole group left and the beach became very quite and peaceful again. i spent the whole day just relaxing, reading my book, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the water. the atmosphere is there is very laid-back and peaceful and thongs just seem to be accepted as one of the options for swimwear there. before i packed up to leave, i walked over to the other guy wearing minimal swimwear and told him that it was nice to see other people out enjoying the beach in thongs and to have a nice day - he just smiled and waved. i am hoping to make it out again monday or tuesday of next week for another enjoyable day on tanjong beach. thanks for the info on bintan. i will probably be sporting my briefs while there with my wife this weekend, but hope to see others out enjoying themselves in minimal swimwear.

As it turns out, that was the best out out of the four. It was a very sunny and hot day. There were a good amount of people on the beach, but it still felt pretty quite and low-key. I walked down to the far end of the beach and set myself up under the last palapa. I stripped down to my skinz roman g-string. There were already a couple of guys in small bikinis out tanning. Soon after I arrived a couple set up between me and the water. When I flipped back over to tan my front side I noticed that the woman was wearing a tiny gstring and small top. The guy she was with was wearing a very brief rio style suit - almost a thong. It was very nice to have minimal swimwear company so near by. By the time I went down to take a dip in the water to cool off, the guy had set up his towel and was tanning buns up near the water line. While I was out floating in the water, I watched his girlfriend come up to him and wedge his suite up his crack and make it into a thong. The guy did not even flinch, he just laid there and continued to enjoy himself. A short while later, a woman rode up on a bicycle and started settling in just to the south of me. She proceeded to strip down to a nice white thong bottom and top. We all kind of took turns going in and out of the water to cool off. Everyone seemed very comfortable and relaxed in their choice of swimwear. Towards the end of the afternoon, I packed up my stuff and headed back to the tram. On the way, I stopped by the km8 beach bar to have a beer and soak up my last beach day. I am glad I did, because there was a very attractive woman in a very small g-string on the beach right in front of the bar, as well as a very fit guy in a small lime green bikini. It was an enjoyable ending to a nice week in singapore. Anyone there should take advantage of having such a lovely beach that is so accepting of minimal swimwear. I will definitely return if I find myself back in singapore.

Would love a place like that near home here in CT. I can string, but the company is either mixed but not in minimal swimwear, or all male in minimal swimwear. To get both together is ideal and oh, so healthy. Will put Singapore on our list for future travels after I retire, which can't come too soon now.
