I haven't bought a skinz suit yet, but looking at getting one soon.. I love the roman or the spartan ones in the yellow polka dot material  . They said it's an extra charge because they do not have that color in that style.. Any options on which one to get ..Thanks and what color

odie - the skins roman is probably my favorite gstring. great cut and very comfortable - just small enough for tanning but not too small where things pop out. i have two in the dark brown (looks great with a tan) and highly recommend them.

I have a Skinz Roman Gstring which I love. It is very skimpy yet I fit into it, just barely. Can anyone compare the Roman gstring with the Skinz Stuffit Gstring?

Re:SkinzWear.com - Skinz Wear - Florida

The Roman M46 thong and the M44 Gstring are about the same front coverage and you generally meet the Pinelas coverage regulations. The stuffit may be a bit too little coverage to meet the regulations, but mostly you can wear to Florida Gulf beaches other than Clearwater, Anna Maria etc where thongs are not permitted.

Spartan g-strings are great. The roman g-string is great. I've been ordering the M1R for years but have recently tried the M1R2 and the Stuffit. They just barely cover my package but the fit is awesome. Yes, their prices are a bit high but the quality is very good. I buy about $500 in gift certs so that will last for quite a bit - the 25% off is great!

I believe I have made up my mind. I'm thinking of the M1R2. I just measured my waist and it's 38-39.  Do i need to stick to XL or go LG I don't want to order XL and have it stretch out like a MS I order in the past. Please help. I also notice I gain an inch or two. My usual measurement in 36-37 inch.  Here's a link to my summer suit!

I have not bought a skinzwear g string yet but they all look just great: the micro, the stuffit, the y-thong, the full and the skimpy pouch

Hi Odie, the Adj Micro G is my favorite! I would go with the LG since the pouches are all the same size and the strings are a little loose. I am almost the same size as you and I get the LG's.

I got a Adj Micro and the Stuffit and the Stuffit is TINY. Much too small to be comfortable, but the Adj Micro can look tiny, and still hold everything in place.

Re:SkinzWear.com - Skinz Wear - Florida

Yeah it's going to be either the spartan , roman or the M1R2. I want to make sure of the sizing.  I'm leaning more on the M1R2 , because I don't have to pay extra for the yellow polka dot color..

Re:SkinzWear.com - Skinz Wear - Florida

One other thing about the Adj Micro, is I can either be up or down inside it. If down, I can make it almost as narrow at top as Spartan, but if i want to be up it can still fit inside.

I am ordering two Adj Micros next time I want a new suit.

Just received a new order. Custom design cheek boxer identical to the Joe Snyder cheek boxer. I gave it to Skinz to make for me so I could get the cheek in more fabrics. I am wearing a red velvet today. Also got a purple velvet M1R2, a lace stuffit, and a lace roman thong. Skinz is my favorite company out there.

Also, just posted some hot new pics. Tell me what you think. Purple stuffit and aussie brief from skinz. Also Joe Snyder mini cheeky. And full nudes.

I am so excited!  I get to visit the Skinz Shop next week.  I am going to try everything on and find the best suits to wear at the beach.  I just love going to new Thong shops.  My issue is that I get a little excited when trying them on, so I will have to take my time.
Anyone visit the shop and know of any other places to buy gear in Clearwater or St. Petersburg?

I just recieved my two custom suits that I designed from Skinz the other day.  I now have three patterns on file.  They are expensive the first time ordering them, but I feel it is worth it.  I have always been satisfied with thier products.  Now when I order these suits, they will cost $38.00 per suit which I feel is fair considering I really like thier products.

My red skinz roman thong is one of my favorites.  Mine is unlined and it is really comfortable.  It is a bit shear when wet, so I only wear it at a place like Sobe that is more accepting.  I have bought numerous thongs at the Skinz shop.  There is no hassle trying on as many different styles as you like.

The Sunseeker Rio is a nice comfortable suit.  I have many Skinzwear suits and love them all. The Sunseeker Rio seat tends to stay put and is comfortable for an all day wear.  You still won't feel like you are wearing much.  I have worn one all day at the beach in Clearwater with no problems. However, I still prefer my thongs in areas where they are permitted.

Yes I also love the sunseeker rio. Skinz could trim it dow a bit in the rear to make it just a bit narrower in my opinion, sometimes I feel that the rear is too much like a regular bikini now, it could be that I am just too used to wearing it. It is the suit I wear when I need to cover up.

I went to the Skinzwear store today and it was great. The staff was extremely helpful and I tried on every men's style they had. I bought a Roman Thong and it fits perfectly and ironically enough they had a Borat Thong my size and I didn't fall out of :-) I bought that too.   I can't say enough about them and look forward to getting more.

I recently had a custom suit made by Skinz. I ordered a Sparton with 48" straps. This makes a perfect slingshot. It can also be worn as tie sided suit, since the straps are long enough to tie on each side at the waist. I have almost exclusively switched to slingshot style suits. They don't ride up or down and there is rarely a need to adjust them. It does take a little while to wear them without feeling self conscious. I chose the semi sheer royal blue and semi sheer iradescent purple. Great suits and will be cheaper when I re-order since the design stays on file at Skinz.

What Cam said... Search for Galaxy on their site... Awesome new stuff. And I'll throw in my two cents. I've bought from Skinz for some time and I think they hold up better than anything else out there. The first one I bought still looks like it's brand new. I have several of most of the styles but my favorites tend to be the skinny side versions. The leopard print is by far the softest if someones looking for something really comfortable. Bought my girlfriend the matching in leopard and she loves it...

The Skinzwear Stuffit g-string became my absolute favorite swimwear for the beach last summer. I am happy to see they've added more colors and fabrics for that one. I'll be getting a couple new designs to wear this year for sure.

Does anyone have any experience with the Skinz Adjustable Micro G String or the Spartan G String? They look very skimpy and I am wondering if they would be acceptable at a public textile beach.

Re:SkinzWear.com - Skinz Wear - Florida

Before my current favorites, I used to wear the Adjustable Micro (M1R2) a lot at my favorite textile beach without any problems.  As I like to say, it's just enough to make me 'legal and decent', and also has a nice look to it.

I've never owned the Spartan, and probably wouldn't wear it in public anyway, as I don't shave, just trim a bit, and too much hair would show.  A little peeking out the top of a string is a nice masculine teaser, but out the sides of a narrow pouch is just gross, pure and simple.  Were I shaved, however, and didn't mind getting tanlines, I think it would be fine where I go.

Visited the Skinz store yesterday. As always, a large rack of $9 sale and $14 sale suits. Other suits are high priced. I purchased an M55U and note lots of dimension varience in the pouch size of the M55U gstrings on the sale rack.

BF - I am planning to get by Skinz store soon to custom order a few suits as Spring is just around the corner. I figure I deserve some custom made ones this year, they usually take a couple of weeks and this way when March rolls around I will be ready to hit the Fort. I know you can get some pretty good deals on the sale rack and I am sure I will pickup a few $9 suits but I take my suits pretty serious and like to wear something that I know fits and looks good on. If I am gonna have a great tan and a fit body I am certainly gonna have a good lookin peace of string to go with it. HaHa!  See ya at the Fort but not until it gets warm! SKI

I just received a Skinz Spartan and I love it. I was not certain about the coverage but I decided to give it a try since it was on sale at 50% off. It covers just what needs to be covered (barely) and it looks great in my opinion. I will definately be purchasing more for beach wear this summer.

Back in 2008, I bought some Skinz suits. The material was fab, but the fit was awful. Far to much material under the crorch, the under crotch seam was to far to the rear, and they weren't as brief as the picture in the catalogue. I luckily found a local lady with a sewing machine who altered them so they fitted better. I believe I remember reading either on their website, or on thongboard, that they had altered the pattern and fit. Anyone concur with this, how do any who bought find the fit and size now, as I'd like to order replacements.

It was a Men's Adj Micro G String in Sheer Wavey Black Mesh (UNLINED)
Here
http://www.skinzwear.com/prod_Detail.html?prodID=8844

It left nothing to the imagination. However it was in a medium on the sale rack, I think marked $14. It was very tiny (I love how tiny, yet roomy the adj G's are but this was too tiny...I have 4 other Adj G's from Skinz)

If it was in a large I would have bought it...maybe next time I visit!

I've been wearing my various Skinz suits the past 5 years and have noticed just this past summer that they are finally starting to show some signs of wear and tear. Where I'm really noticing it is the elasticity of the front pouches on a few pairs. I'm happily going to order a few pairs as I'm very happy with the fit. I'm just curious as to what other's peoples experiences are with how many seasons you typically get out of your Skinz suits as well.

I have had mine for 5 to 7 yrs also and have noticed the same thing.  Some are fine and some are showing.  Think it also depends on the type of fabric.

As they point out on their web site, the shiny and rubberized fabrics tend to wear out faster. In my experience, expect those fabrics to wear out after one season.
