After some time debating about the fit I finally ordered the Skinz Adjustable Micro G String M1R2. I love the look but the pouch is so tiny that I am not able to fit in it without spilling our the sides. I guess I will sell it on EBAY. It is a great suit so I am disappointed that I am not able to wear it. I guess I will stick with the Skinz Bravura Thong.

I have quite a few of the sheer fabrics, 0504, 9408, 9410, 9411. The 9408 is by far the most sheer when wet. I have worn them to Silver Strand state beach and at my nieghborhood pool mostly. They are not as sheer as you might think. It all depends on the place though. Skinz bikinis are they only brand I buy and wear. Have never recieved a negative comment.

Today I received my order of two Skinz g-strings.  I ordered them on April 3 and received them May 1.  I was wondering what was taking so long because they weren’t special orders.   They told me that they never received my PayPal payment until I asked them a week ago where my order was.  I was told that PayPal never notified them about my payment.  They immediately shipped the items Priority Mail and I got them today. The M1R2U (unlined adjustable micro g-string thong) in metallic Mystique Pacific Blue fits perfectly and can be adjusted to make a tiny teardrop pouch.  I’ll have to do a little trimming for aesthetic purposes.  I don’t shave completely bare because I’m a “grow-er”, not a “show-er.”   Since I’m nude a lot of times I like to have some pubic hair to show that even though my peener is little, I am an adult.  I’m vain that way.  (Or insecure.)  So, there’s minimal coverage but room to leave just a little hair above and to the side of the goods. The M55U (Stuffit thong) in wet-look black tricot fits to a “T” also, but just barely covers the package.  You guys who are considered to be well-endowed – XXX or balls or both – might find that there are pretty big gaps in the leg openings if you get this design.  Me?  It’s a snug fit.  It’s so snug that in certain light it’s even semi-transparent. Despite the delay in getting  them, I’m happy with the g-strings and hope to try them out at the beach in the OBX this summer.  Or maybe somewhere else outside beforehand. I’ll post photos at some point. Let me know if any of you have questions.

OK. sorry I can't be bothered trawling all the pages on this topic. To make it easy for me does anyone have any of the Skinz men's super low profile M29 suits? are they very low cut? comfortable, narrow? ever worn them in public beaches/pools. They look good so I thought I might try a couple. Thanks

Ron-Depends on your area and feeling about wearing small coverage swimwear. Low enough you should shave though.

Here in the USA, I would wear the M29 to public beaches, pools anywhere. The coverage meets all reasonable requirements I know.  Some people who insist on Dork shorts or "Board Shorts" will not approve, but who cares.

Gerry - thanks. I just wondered as the fotos of the models don't seem to show how low the bikinis are. I shave already so that won't be an issue. How do they last up to frequent wear?

Hi Ron - I'm in London and wear thongs/strings a lot.  The Skinz M29 is a great style; I happily wear it if a thong/string is not appropriate.  Not sure I'd wear it to the gym pool when I'm doing some "serious" swimming but it's fine for lounging by the pool or having a lazy dip.  The quality is excellent.  I don't use detergent though - just make sure they are properly rinsed out after wearing them.

I'm in a similar fix as alphabet man (above).  I find Skinz is definitely a quality manufacturer, though the zig-zag stitch they use is a bit amaturish, and I deerly love the color/fabric/pattern choices they have.  But their styles don't quite hit the mark for me, and I can get styles I like better elsewhere, and the styles they have that I would buy they don't offer as standard anymore, and would hagve to pay for special order or more to get them on top of already top dollar prices.  Just not worth it.

I went to skinz store again today looking for a new suit, like I need another gstring. Nothing worked so I made a special order.  I love how the M55U fits and looks so I ordered one in hot pink. The nice blonde lady that works there helped me and while she was writing down the style she pulled out the skinz magazine and flipped thru for the correct color. Then she asked me what color the ring in the back I wanted and I asked if there were any other styles so she went to the back room and came out with a box and began to show me. I ordered the rhine stone T which should look great. She commented that it will stand out and I said to her the whole suit will stand out. I can not wait to see how it looks on, with my very dark tan and the hot pink color with the stones it should look great. I will have to share a photo.  She told me it should be ready in a week. Damn thing cost me $53 bucks. Oh well.

Re:SkinzWear.com - Skinz Wear - Florida

I have two Skinz suits. I've got the Bravura thong and absolutely LOVE it! It's one of the best fitting thongs I've ever worn, and I really love how the back straps look & fit (all mens' thongs should be made like this). Some of you have commented that you don't like the narrow pouch, but I think it's a great look - I don't mind showing a little extra, as long as the important parts are covered and everything is neat and trimmed! The pouch is unlined & actually fits really well - it doesn't flatten you out, and allows for some movement as you walk. The suit is made from their "Big Bang Emerald" fabric - really cool!
My other suit is one of the Release thongs, made with the metallic copper fabric. I have two complaints about this suit: First is that it seems that the size of this one runs a bit small. Where the Bravura fits perfectly, I feel that I have to squeeze myself into the Release thong. Other thing I don't like is that the front pouch flattens you out a little - I like having some room up front & that "floppy" fit (for lack of a better term).
I need a couple of suits with more coverage, so my next Skinz purchases will be one of their M63 bikinis, and one of their Rio-back bikinis (classic Rio M54). I won't wear these suits everywhere - not really suitable for the family environment of the neighborhood pool, but I think that they'll be ok at most beaches & hotel pools - it just depends on the locale. I like some of the bright colors (light turquoise, yellows, tangerine) & some of the multi-colored patterns. They're a nice change from the usual "guy colors" (tired of the dark blues, blacks, etc). I kinda like having a suit that's a little feminine in color, but not too girly (no floral patterns for me).
I was looking through some of the older catalogs & will likely order something for my GF. I don't like the "low rise" look of most of the current women's suits - I like the skimpier cuts from the 80's & 90's that are high on the hips, and narrow in front & back. I think that you can order these suits at anytime. Although I might check in later in the year & see if they still offer the custom ordering - I've got a good idea for a thong for my GF.

12 wheels, I could not agree with you more regarding the Bravura thong. I tried it last season and now own 8 of them. If you like the concept of the Release thong, the Braura now has several with the chrome release rings. I have one on metallic blue and one in shiny black and get compliments every time I wear them.

I picked up my Skinz M55U Pink with Rhine Stone T Back connector (WOW) it is a nice suit. The lady in Skinz commented how nice the suit came out. She said it will look great on me. That was an ego booster. I wore it yesterday at the beach and it was a great fit. I have been wearing the M55U Gstring for sometime now so my tan lines very defined. I have a very dark tan with the exception of this white line around my hips. I told the lady at Skinz I will be back to order another one real soon. The custom orders are more money but the results are you get exactly what you want. I like adding the metal in the back and this time I am going to add to the front as well. I will have to post some pics on my profile of my new suit.

Love Skinz and the price doesn't bother me. They are quality made in America. I custom order just about everything because I like certain strings with certain pouches. I love Tanya, she is the best. I order 15 - 20 new g-strings per year and wear most of them as daily underwear. Recently I went 52 days with a new one each day and still had about 20 left before I finally did the laundry! I do love the new Aussie style suit. I have one in the international flag fabric and just wore it around Clearwater beach. Love it!

I agree skinzwear's prices are expensive. I love some designs from skinz, but I'm not ordering it, because I'll not to pay so much for those suits, and overall for the shipping costs. I can pay 38$ for a swimsuit. It's rather expensive, but I can agree with this price. But it's totally expensive to pay 19$ for an international shipping! I bought at some online stores, and international shipping costs are from 6 to 12$, but ¿19$?. It's totally disproportionate.

Just got both the sheer red stuffit g-string and the sheer midnight adj micro g-string. WOW...Both very tiny and revealing. I LOVE the adj micro as it actually has more room in it than the stuffit plus I can make it really small but still have enough material to leave me with room. The red stuffit will require pretty much a complete shave and needing to be very "relaxed"...both very hot and great quality!

I already have some plaid and since there was the custom order special I took advantage of it. I have been told by Tanya that I am one of their best clients ordering 12 to 15 stings or micro shorts a year. I really like the new Aussie cut. Nice to wear over a string on a beach that is not thong friendly like Clearwater. I was there a month ago wearing the International Flags Aussie over and International Flags string and dared to bare it for 30 minutes just while laying on my beach towel face down. Four 19 year olds walked by, two girls and two boys and the girls started giggling when then spotted me. More from probably surprise than anything else and not know how to react but with all the kids around I just put the Aussie back on. If you haven't tried the Aussie, if you are in shape, you should!

I just purchased the Roman Thong G String (M46U) on sale. I usually wear a medium but the sale items did not included a medium so I ordered a small and it fits great. This is a much skimpier suit than I usually wear but I do like it. It is tiny yet covers what needs to be covered. I may order more of these in the future.

Beachfolks, I was pleased that the strings fit in the small. I am curious as to what suits you find less conservative than the Roman. I don't think that I could fit into anything with a skimpier pouch.

I am size XL, have several Skinz suits S and XS which fit good. they do not change the pouch size, only the string length.

Re:SkinzWear.com - Skinz Wear - Florida

Date Posted:08/31/2010 08:19:08Copy HTML

That is not my experience with skinzwear.  Possibly my thongs from them are older and maybe not as stretchy as the modern ones. But with mine, I found a smaller sized suit did not fit well.  The waist band of the smaller sized skinzwear suit had to be streached out by being hung in the closit with a 10 pound wight for several months.

As a general rule when a thong or g-string has narrow sides it tends to put more force per square inch on the surfice of the skin than you would get with wider bands. Unless the thong is sized right, this tends to create a grove in the flesh.  If it visibly dents the skin or leaves a mark when you take it off it is too tight.

While you can look good in a thong or g-string with skinny narrow side straps it is inprotant to make sure the waist band does not cut in and make it look like the skin either side is ballooning out.  This is not a becoming look.
Unless you have a rock hard body the narrow side straps can cut in under very little tension.  You probably don't have a rock hard body, I know I don't.  Therefore correct sizing, or even going up a size is imperative.

I frequently see men who look like the thongs are uncomfortably tight, the thong digging into the skin like the trussing string on a thanks giving turkey. There is no question that a suit one or two sizes larger would probably fit and look better.  When the side straps dig in it tends to make the waist and hips look fat. .

Look in a full length mirror, from a distance, and see if it is denting in the skin. Another good indicator is to wear a suit for an hour or two, and if when you take it off it leaves a red compression mark on the skin, it was too tight.

Re:SkinzWear.com - Skinz Wear - Florida

JM-I was not speaking of the suits made from stretchy cloth, just the string backs. Regarding the string backs, I have compared the pouch sizes in the Skinz store and find no difference in pouch size from X-small to 2X large-(zero, Nada, none), only the string length, but the Skinz strings are very low rate, stretch a lot without becoming tight.
I agree regarding the non-string swim suits.

I went to the Skinzwear store in Clearwater today for the first time.  I was amazed!  An avid thong/g-string wearer could spend a fortune in there.  I looked around for a while, the staff was very friendly and accommodating in letting me try suits on.  I've noticed most of their suits are somewhat pricey online, and in the store as well.  However, they have a sale rack with great suits in all sizes, and also a $9.99 rack.  I found some great items on both racks all for the price of one regular thong.  If you're ever in the area, I strongly recommend a trip to Skinzwear!  It's a great place!!

Skinz prices and charges are high. The only way to get a Skinz suit at a good price is to visit their store in Clearwater FL-where many are on sale for US$9. I think they are mostly quality rejects, but I usually cannot find the defects. The M44 meets the local coverage regulations allowing one to walk on the local beaches.
