It is voyeuristic men who make videos like this who make others uncomfortable.
If other people came up and videoed your from close up without permission you would feel uncomfortable.
If they then followed you down the street and into a store you would feel hounded.
This is a good example of people casually wearing thongs off the beach, on the street and in stores, as you can see in most South Florida beach towns. However it appears to be videoed without permission.
If he had asked first and the women brightly said, on camera, "I don't mind you videoing and following me around" that would be different.
Activity like this should not be condoned, because it would make most people, epically shyer thongers, feel very uncomfortable. |

You have a perfect right to say, "Go away and stop bothering me." Florida also has a laws making up-skirt and similar "video voyeurism" a serious crime.
A general view of the beach is perfectly acceptable. People who are on camera smiling and inviting viewers to ogle them before close up shots is fine too.
However walking close behind a random women who is wearing a thong, so as to get close up video of her bum, and following her wherever she goes to get voyeuristic video is not just creepy and exploitative, it crosses the bounds of both social and legal norms.
There are sound legal reasons why photographers get signed model release forms before using any photo or video for commercial gain.
Even if we ignore the legal pitfalls, any activity that makes other thongers uncomfortable and less likely to thong in the future should be discouraged by the people on this board. Don't harass women who wear thongs, or women who go topless, or men who wear thongs.
Sailor is right, the women was probably aware that some uninvited creep was following her around. But that does not make it any less of a creep move. That is probably why she was moving away as quickly as possible.
If you want to photo or video someone try asking first. People often ask me, and I generally say Yes. However people sneaking video are acting just a little creepy. Most of you don't like that, so don't encourage others to do that to women and young girls.
Generally I don't care if strangers take photos or video from a reasonable distance. But please don't walk up and start taking close-up shots of my crotch or bum. That is getting a bit intimate if I don't know you. I think most people feel the same. |

I left the link because it is a very good example of the pervy stalking behavior that should be discouraged.
If young men feel free to stalk young women in thongs just to video them, young women will stop wearing thongs.
We want thong wearing to become normal and accepted everywhere for everyone.
Video voyeurism and video staking that published to the web is a sure way to make thongers feel uncomfortable and hounded. We don't want that. |

Generally when it is staged the actor and team will address the camera and say something like "Today we are going out on the street to catch peoples reactions" at the start of the video. AND a big tell is the focus on other peoples reactions.
Where as thong stalking videos are often shot at an intrusive low level while following the person, or persons, who are being stalked.
I have had several young women tell me they now fell uncomfortable in thongs after bad experiences with men following them, or moving around to get close up pictures, or other thong stalking type behavior. This pervert level video voguism needs to be discouraged. |

You could imagine that someone might think this guy with a professional looking set up might use the videos commercially and get upset, but if he doesn't linger around or really obviously get hot chicks in view then there's no trouble. There's a youtube channel Miami Boat Life that among other things seems to do similar thong focused videos on South Beach. They seem to stop and shoot some girls who are obviously consenting as they seem to greet the camera and gesture to the audience- I think they are show offs rather than "friends" of the channel, because they do sometimes have fitness models on there and list their names etc. |

Now the meals are $100-300/ person, the Veal Marsala I know is north of $100. I’ve seen everything thing there from full coverage to the smallest of string that cover only what is necessary to be legal. I’ve seen women walking down Ocean Drive and Collins in nothing but strings with a very sheer wrap around their waists. I’ve seen a few men on the sand in thongs and g-string too. Pretty much it seems that the more extreme the better is an unwritten rule at times. On the other hand thongs for women often seem to be the mandatory beach uniform.
South Beach was the first place I actually felt comfortable wearing a thong on a beach. It’s the first place I saw women wearing thong bikinis, being topless on a beach and being confident enough to not care. It’s where I found my biggest confidence to wear a thong openly on other beaches.
I don’t look at those in their swim attire as sexual as much as seeing them as confident, strong, beautiful, and free. Without SoBe thong in America would not be (in my opinion). |

The exhibition they are promoting is new. The museum itself is great. It’s not for children or those that find sexuality offensive. On the other hand it is fascinating to see the art of sexuality from around the world and across generations and cultures. Next time I’m in Miami it is on my list to visit again. |
