I am heading to St Kitts in another month (August 2014). Is this place thong friendly? I've read that its pretty conservative so I don't want to potentially end up in some foreign jail. If its even questionable unfortunately I won't even bring them.
Anyone know the thong environment in St Kitts?

My wife and I thong at St Kitts every time we go there. St Kitts is very dependent on the cruise ship industry and will let visitors no worry themselves with visitors in thongs. Cockleshell Beach and Frigate Bay are the more crowded beaches and we were totally fine there. Keep in mind I was not wearing a poser or torpedo and wife was not in a sheer teeny g-string.  We acted completely normal. Mr X's Shiggidy Shack even has a sign telling customers that topless women drink for free. If you are looking for more seclusion in your thong, head to North Friar's Beach or Sandy Bank Bay.  We also thonged in the Main Pool at the Marriot and staff and guests alike didn't even bat an eye.

Arrived yesterday and beached today. Other than a dude with a big belly in a speedo this is a very conservative country. Even the casino girls don't wear thongs!! I packed so few thongs but think they'll remain in my hotel room. Sigh...

Sometimes I come to think that we should buy and island in the Caribbean exclusive for thonging... no other attire allowed...(don't believe me)

Any recent reports? Thinking about staying at the Park Hyatt soon. Thanks
