Re:Sydney Australia - contacts

Hey Thongmad,

Yeah. I'm really looking forward to some warmer weather myself. Winter gets me down :-( The good news is that I'm heading over to the U.S in two weeks - summer time, yes! I'll be in Florida for five/six days and I've been doing some research on thonging spots. Very excited to be heading out for a few fun days in the sun wearing some of my brand new thongs bought just for this occasion.

For those who are interested, I DID end up heading out to Watsons Bay yesterday and did some thonging in public (north of there) - yes in cloudy 22 degree weather. Despite the cold, I had a lot of fun. If you'd like to read more, you can go to my "personal experiences" here: http://forum1.aimoo.com/ThongBoard/Personal-Experiences/Thonging-at-Camp-Cove-Lady-Bay-Beach-Sydney-in-WINTER-1-2375534.html

Thanks.

Hey all,
Well the weather is heating up. Just got new Muscleskins and Joe Snyders that I can't wait to sun bake in.
Anyone want to join one weekend?

Which is the best month to visit Sydney from march to november 2015?
Grabeach #54

Re:Sydney Australia - contacts

Date Posted:08/01/2014 10:41:32Copy HTML

March to November covers Autumn - Winter - Spring. www.weatherzone.com.au/climate/station.jsp has lots of monthly data for Sydney temps and rainfall.

For the majority here, March, April, October and November are all good air temperature wise. October and November have less rain, while March and April have warmer sea temps.

One thing worth knowing is that school holidays are 3 to 17 April and the first week of October, as they tend to push up accomodation prices.

Thank you for the information.
I am planning my vacations for the next year.  I want to stay 5 days in Sydney, then take a tour to Japan and after that spend 5 days in Sydney.

How about we choose a day or two for a Thongers' Day at a particular beach?

Local knowledge please, as I am north of Sydney.

Weekdays would be best for me, particularly Fridays.

Any thoughts?

Thongmad, from the lack of responses, there doesn't seem to be  much of a demand.

Personally, I guess informally organised activities are not my thing. I rarely ever planned to meet anyone at a beach or pool, though I will often chat to others who happen to be there, including some on a regular basis. While keeping an eye on the weather forecast, I actually don’t decide to go to the beach or pool more than an hour ahead. I just head out when I feel in the mood. Alternatively, if I’m away from home doing something else, I’ll make a spur of the moment decision to go for a swim at the nearest pool or beach. Being an early retiree certainly has its advantages!

I would like a Thongers Day as suggested by Thongmad,  but current every day problems make it difficult,  I'm lucky if I can make it to the local beach.....soon the kids will grow up and I will have more freedom.
I would prefer a co-ed thongers day,  wouldn't mind to meet other male thongers to exchange ideas and enjoy the company, but nothing could equal the fun of having fillies showing flesh wearing a thong, a male-only gathering of thongers can become a bit dull.....
Thongmad #60

Re:Sydney Australia - contacts

Date Posted:10/09/2014 03:55:30Copy HTML

It doesn't have to be a 'gathering' as such...think more a day where you know you're going to the beach, and put a post up.
Anyone who can make it will at least know they won't be thonging alone.
We wouldn't even have to gather in a group, just have good numbers in any one spot at a given time.
Makes for a leaning towards a trend that way, and others might be encouraged!

Re:Sydney Australia - contacts

Date Posted:10/10/2014 10:18:58Copy HTML

With regard to encouraging other thongers, I suspect a couple of thongers spread out along a beach would be more effective than being together. My reasoning is that while the assumption that a guy in a thong must be gay no longer applies to an individual, I suspect that it would still apply to two guys thonging together. You then get the associated predijuces and often incorrect assumptions that go with this. Very much like when female toplessness first appeared in Sydney in the mid '70s on the small harbour beaches. Initially two or three women sunning together without tops were usually considered to be strippers (sometimes they were!) which was not something most wished to be seen as. The same women sunning separately were seen in a much more favourable light.

Agreed GraSeeing a number of thongers along a stretch of beach would indicate it's popularity is rising.Never know, it might catch on :-)

Been watching the discussion on a Thongers' Day and I'm in.
Just pick a date and place and see if anyone turns up.
Anywhere from Sydney to Newcastle suits me best.
I could suggest some locations too I suppose.
Weather is great just now.

Should also mention that it's an official nude beach, so I wouldn't bother with the thong. Also it's a long haul back UP to the car on a warm day.
AussieExPoser #69

Re:Sydney Australia - contacts

Date Posted:12/03/2014 09:52:30Copy HTML

Werong is a long way and as you say why wear anything.
But set a date eh !

I think it's a bit difficult to wear a thong at a nude beach anyhow
Anyone doing so would be categorized as GAY immediately and looked down on by the Purist Nudists for sure.
Of course a female could wear one and no such effect
But if men wear them then they either GAY or Dirty old men or most likely Both.
Sad but true :(

Had a great day out yesterday at the beach part of Glenrock State Rec Area
Only accessable by walking tracks which keeps out most of the people.
Just Dog walkers, Cyclists and the odd Jogger or Walker.
No vehicles, beach patrols or families and only the occasional surfer
But during the middle of the day it's usually deserted.
However yesterday there were 2 other guys there having a bit of a skinny dip and lay in the sun.
I wore my thong from the carpark all the way to the beach and back again including a long walk of the entire beach from one end to the other.
Only encountered these two guys who seemed to be happy to keep to themselves.
I have been there numerous times and even when there are people passing by I have never had any trouble if lying naked.
All together a great day in the sun

Back at Glenrock beach today.
Saturday and more people about.
Wore black  thong and notthing else but a towell all the way from the car to the beach
Picked my usual spot and took it off to get some sun properly.
People about but took no notice of them
A man with a surfboard came towards me once but saw me then stopped and set up where he was.
He was wearing long board shorts but later on when bending over waxing his board I saw he had a bright blue thong on underneath !
Underneath would you believe. When I was there wearing a thong or nothing he still kept his baggy board shorts on ..
Beats me
Then he went surfing and a couple arrived. He went surfing and she followed him into the water a bit
Then I noticed she was wearing a small black Gstring Bikini
So I thought Well if she is and he is (even if he feels the need to cover up with his board shorts) then I'm going for a swim
I had brought my See thru camo Gstring with me so slipped that on and went down for a really great swim in the ocean not far from the girl in the black G
Just an awesome day. Beautiful sun and surf and great to be seeing more people around thonging
even if they cover them up !

 AussieExPoser,
You are talking about the south end of Burwood Beach aren't you?
That's accessed off Burwood Road, and Glenrock Lagoon drains into the ocean across the beach.
I might just check it out every now and then!

Thanks for your advice everyone, much appreciated.
I'm hoping and praying for some warmer days while I'm there - mid or even high 20's and sunny would be awesome, but I'd settle for just a nice sunny day as the current forecast is low 20s with some sunshine and a chance of a light shower.
AussieExPoser - I'll be in Sydney thonging on Wed 30th Sept to Fri 2nd Oct. It'd be great to catch up at the beach, particularly as I've only ever really been thonging solo before :-) At this stage I'm planning on visiting - Bondi, Camp Cove, Lady Bay, Shark Bay and maybe Rose Bay and Redleaf Pool. I plan on being there some time in the afternoon between 12 and 4pm, depending on the weather conditions. If you're free, please message me.

With the forecast for tomorrow again being in the mid-to-high 30's, I will be at either Newcastle or up around Samurai at Port Stephens. Anyone else..?
Spent a short time at Newcastle beach today near the volleyball courts. Plenty of bums out, and I'm starting to see a few young guys actually wearing briefs on the beach this summer. Can only hope it becomes a thing!

OK so we've had a great few weeks recently, and I've spent some time on my local beaches, as well as Bondi and Coogee.
September is just around the corner, so we'll end up with some nice days again soon.

Had the thought in mind myself to hit the beach tomorrow as I have some free time at the moment.  Can't decide if it's going to be great or not so great.  Weather forecast this morning was 31c for tomorrow but windy and today's very cloudy so not quite the awesome weather I thought we were going to get.  Will decide in the morning.
That said if good I'll probably be heading to either Freshwater, Collaroy or some other up on the Northern beaches.  Bondi too much of a pain to get to for me and I'll probably only be at the beach in the morning if I do go at all.

Hah.  I was up at Curl Curl this morning for a couple of hours.  Sheltered from the wind which isn't too bad anyway.  Me being the only thong wearer sporting a Jovana Design 4D which I bought earlier in the year but weather turned and no opportunity to get out.  A few ladies in thongs or cheeky bikinis.  More so than any other style.  Seems to be well and truly entrenched on women.  We men however...

Yes, I think within 200m of me, about 1/3 of the females had their cheeks well and truly out in some form or another. While I was the only thong or g wearing male, there was no shortage of guys in trunks or briefs. Overwhelmingly shorts on guys still. Can't see that ever changing.I had no comments made at all, just plenty of second glances like normal. I changed straight into a black thong when I arrived, and put the Reef oil on while standing at my car. I paid for my parking, walked about 100m through the car park and onto the sand, laid out, went for several swims, and returned to my car about four hours later, all without any coverup at all and no problem at all.Nice afternoon ?
