Re:Thailand - Thong friendly?

Date Posted:01/24/2007 04:49:54

Hi Ed Jackson

My Thai gf and I are moving to the UK and are going past Thailand for 1 month from 5 March. We have alway stayed at Jontiem beach but are thinking we will definately go to Ko larn as i love to thong. my gf being Thai is more shy when in thailand, but will thong and sometimes topless at hotel but usually normal bikini if on the beach. maybe this year at ko larn she will thong with me.

It would be nice to be  able to go nude if we find a secluded beach.

When you hired the boat did you and your wife get the boat yourself or did a driver have to come with you?

Hi Tony 97

I've never hired any kind of boat without a captain and at least 1 crewmember. I'd recommend that one not even try to get to the islands on their own.

Either take the ferry to Ko Larn, or spend a few extra and hire your own boat for the day

Never had a problem. If you have the cash, then they could care less what you or your wife or girlfriend do or do not wear.

I normally drop my shorts and stay in a thong as much as possible----------this all starts as soon as my toes touch the water.

Regards,

Ed

O.k so the driver wont mind if i go nude or thong on the boat ride over to ko Larn.. although dont think i`d go nude unless we had boat to ourselves.

We can`t wait to get to Thailand and relax around the hotel pool etc. Are you guys going to be in Thailand in March by any chance? would be nice to meet up with another thonging couple.. We are going to try and meet up with bagapon. can you recommend any other places in Thialand good for thonging or nude.

Please feel free to e-mail anytime... that applies to everyone out there.

Re:Thailand - Thong friendly?

Hi Tony,

I seriously doubt that any speedboat owner/driver, that you hire exclusively for you and your wife would object to either of you going completely nude while you are on their boat for the ride out to Ko Larn...but, that'd be a short 20 minute ride...

You could spend a few (75 USD$$) extra and have them take you out to the Ko Phai Island group, but then you'll be the only humans there. If you're like me, well I prefer to be a bit of an exhibitiionist, so showing my ass off on an ass showing beach is what it's all about----I enjoy being an exhibihtonist, and they enjoy they view on Ko Larn!! You could go naked all day and night on Ko Phai, but the only "public" that might see such would be a few lizards.

Just tell the speedboat operator/owner that you do not like to wear clothes----tell them so upfront...........Invariably,  they will say No problem (Mai pen rai)...They might ask you to put on (at least) a thong though if they are bringing other guests aboard.  99% nude is fine on Thai beaches & most boats for sure.

I'm hoping to get over there and meet up w/ you and Bangapon in March. I've never been thonging with male thongers, so I think this could be interesting!!!!!!!!!!

Will keep you guys posted on my travel dates. Oh Yeah--------you guys are gonna LOVE my wife's ass in her standard g-string topless beach attire

My gf and I have just spent 3 days thonging in pattaya area. we stayed at cosy beach hotel for 1 night and sea sun sand resort. we thonged at both hotels, but sea sun sand is better for thonging.. the hotel is also on the beach so you can walk from pool to sea easily..

we will definately go back there sometime soon. we are planning on going to koh chang later this week.. It is so nice to thong on quiet beach in thailand..

Re:Thailand - Thong friendly?

Date Posted:03/12/2007 09:17:00

HI Ricky

I was the only male wearing thong at Cosy beach hotel pool. I saw 4 females wearing thongs near the pool. At sea sand sun resort i saw another male walking along the beach in a thong but he was not staying at our hotel. Only female there wearing a thong was my gf. Sea sand sun was good for thongs as there were only about 15-20 guests in hotel. also it was good because the beach is right next to pool and resort.

We will try going to Koh Larn next week. I was not aware that Koh Larn was the same as coral island..and therefore i could not find a boat to Koh Larn. There are many boats advertised for Coral island, which is the same island, but i didn't know that at the time.

Are you in thailand at the moment Ricky?

I cant wait to get back to the beach and thong. I wear normal thong style which i bought in New Zealand. It is not G-string, but it thong back.

My gf is wearing thong bikini we bought at MBK mall, because she accidentially left behind her ww bikini. I had to get my mum to post that to her from New Zealand..hehe..

Hi Kiwi,

I am not in Thailand now, but I have seen a girl wearing thong bikini in pattaya hotel. I worn a slim front and bikini at that moment, some female tourists around the pool side restaurant stare at me.

Hi all,

Is it still safe at thailand to thong at the beaches ? I heard from the news saying 2 russian ladies were shot while they were lying at the beach suntanning. I believe it's at pattaya beach. Still, i'm planning to go Bangkok for some shopping and is interested to go beach hopping some time after june. Anyone want to arrange a trip ?

Re:Thailand - Thong friendly?

Have just spent the month in thailand with my thai gf. We thonged all day long in pattaya with no problems. I understand that those russian girls were killed because they slept with the husband on a thai lady.

I would recommend the resort called 'Sea sand sun'. Its about another 15 min further up the road for the turn off to pattaya.. it has its own quiet beach ideal for thonging..

I'll be trying Phuket and Samui in a week or so. I have a blue Cheeky Nature thong, plus a few more exotic and less burdensome thongs and strings. Love to bump into other thongers!

I wear thong swimwear which i bought from a shop back in NZ. My gf wears wicked weasel 449 bikini's. She has a ww micro but doesnt wear that in Thailand as it is a bit small. We are in London now and there is nowhere close to thong. Its quite annoying. We cant wait to travel back to thailand or places like spain where it looks like they have some of the best nude beaches available.

Only have pics of me, sorry.

My wife and I vacationed in Ko Samui about a year ago and had no problems whatsoever with thonging.   I wore a  traditional red thong the entire time and had no problems at all.  My wife wore a pink zebra striped wicked weasel with a thong back and was equally fine.   We saw a number of other women thonging and some were also topless.  I did not notice any other men.

Hi Folks!

I've been out of the loop here for quite some time. Sorry.

I'll be in Pattaya for a couple weeks soon, and I cannot wait to get into my Koala Baby Blue out on Ko Laan. My wife and daughter will probably be in Surin when I make my way out to the island.....sorry.....My wife has a killer butt that looks excellent in a thong!

August 5th I plan to catch the 0700 ferry to Ko Larn and head to Samae Beach.

Bagapon, would love to meet up with you and help spread the word that thongs/g-strings are acceptable beachwear on Ko Larn....

I REALLY love geting a beach massage whilst 99% nude!

I'll send you a PM with my LOS phone number.

Regards,

Ed

My gf and I have been in London for a few months now and are really missing the sun on our buns in Pattaya. We will be back in Thailand again in feb/mar 08 but until then might have to explore european nude or thong freindly beaches. If there is another thong wearing couple out there we would love to get in touch. We are both in our late 20's and attractive looking.

Anyway, to all those in Thailand, I recommend going to sea sand sun resort about 15 min further of down the highway from pattaya.. very quiet beach which is great for thonging..

Happy New Year Everyone !

It's the new year. Who is everyone doing ? Been thonging lately ? Sadly to say, to be honest my only thong experience is years ago which is at phuket just before the terrible tragedy. It was kind of a 'no experience' thonging back then because i was the only one wearing thong at patong beach, i went there with 2 of my friends and girlfriend. My friends were quite surprised at 1st but was cool after it.

Saw a lady in yellow thong bikini at that time and that was all. Been reading posts here and i'm determined to go thong tanning sometime soon! I was hoping to meet up with fellow thongers here to go thonging in Thailand. We can go various places/beaches which i'm thinking of(Ko Larn and some other), the trip may take up to a week if time allows. I'm also interested in Ed Jackson's offer on renting this boat out too. Anyone keen as well ?

From previous posts here, I would like to point out that we all get different treatments. Ed and LatinThong may get better services or lesser discrimination because you guys are not asian. I have visited Thailand, Bangkok many times and the services or treatment i get is nothing compared to offered to foreigners. Though i am also considered foreigner (singaporean here), they do not provide or give special attention to asians from my point of view. Similiar to Bagapon, i get uncomfortable stares from people when i wore thongs then. I guess probably the people were thinking 'oh americans are a wild and great bunch' so probably being in thongs or nude is absolutely common.

I had seen my fair share of disgusted acts. I once approached a chef in my hotel's restaurant for special order scrambled eggs and bacon but was turned down. Shortly, an American tourist came in and sat down. The chef asked and brought him newspaper, later a waitress served him egg, bacon, sausages fresh from the kitchen. Therefore, we don't usually get the same treatment like you.

Bagapon, any comments ?

I wore my thong at Karon Beach on Phuket this past Xmas without causing a stir, altough only saw 2 others. The ladies were more common, giving me something to look at. I used a small speedo for more formal occasions such as walking back to the hotel. Really heaven on earth on the island

I have ever seen a ladyboy topless and wore a thong on beach in Koh Larn, it's a famous island near Pattaya and about 2 hrs driving from Bangkok, Koh Larn is very friendly for thonger in Thailand.

If you want to visit a quiet beach, try Phuket's Bangtao or Naithon beach, in fact, many small island in Thailand are quite good for thong, if you want more information, please contact with me, I living in Thailand now ~

Re:Thailand - Thong friendly?

I have found that any of the beaches on the islands are thong friendly (to men and women) as long as you stay in the touristy areas.  The natives are not used to (any form) of nudity, so they are not comfortable with it.  At any of the resort hotels or beaches, you can thong (or go topless) without issue

Have stayed in Koh samui.  As i stated above, any of the tourist beaches are fine for thongs (men and women) and female toplessness.  Most of the tourists are european and there is no problem.  I wore a thong on all the beaches and at the hotel pool we stayed in.  Wife wore g-string and was topless on all the beaches as well as (sometimes) at the hotel pool.  YOu will have no worries in koh samui

Hello to everyone from the UK, this is my first post after joining a month or so back.

We went to Bangkok, Koh Samui and Hua Hin last September and they were all wonderful places for a couple who both wear thongs (wife 29, me 31, both in good shape, her especially).  As my username suggests I am also a big fan of tanga style underwear and swimwear.

In Bangkok we were able to wear thongs at our hotel pool and in the spa and nothing was ever said, no other thongers at the pool though.

Koh Samui was the most beautiful place we've ever been and we both found it to be like paradise.  We stayed at the Imperial Boat House hotel which is incredibly beautiful and were able to wear thongs by the hotel pool and on the perfect Choeng Mon beach right next to the hotel.  There were several other men and women wearing thongs and no-one ever battered an eyelid.  We were able to have massages together on the beach (in the private day beds, not in front of others) and none of the Thai ladies ever said anything, a few smiled though I hope appreciatively.  The beach was quiet, spotlessly clean and very private.  Chaweng is a more lively beach and for nightlife (and only a 5 minute taxi ride away) but this was exactly what we wanted.  There were plenty of shops that sold thongs on Samui which pleased my wife who bought some new thong bikinis whilst we were there.

The best part were when we took a private speed boat tour around the marine national park, you get to go to lots of small islands with private beaches so we were able to spend some quality tanning time on completely deserted beaches.  The speedboat moored offshore to give us complete privacy and it was like heaven.

Hua Hin was also beautiful and we stayed at the Sofitel Centara hotel which was very nice indeed.  The beach wasn't as nice though as the hotel didn't 'own' it so it didn't provide loungers.  There are also a lot of locals who provide horse rides on the beach so it wasn't that clean.  It was a dissappointment after the perfection of Samui but thankfully the hotel has several pools which were all very nice and again fine for anyone wanting to wear a thong or G-String.  There were quite a few thongers there and we often chatted to others at the resort.  There were more families here though so we tended to cover up a bit more.

All in all, I'd recommend Thailand and especially Koh Samui to anyone.

You'll have no problem on the beautiful island of Ko Phi Phi, reached by ferry from Phuket.  There are many places to stay on the island but as it is an island, you should reserve a room if you go in high season.  I've also seen a few women going topless on the beach there.

Take a mask and snorkel to Ko Phi Phi and plan to stay at least 2 nights.  You can snorkel right off the beach.  No need to take a boat.  However, I never snorkel in a thong. I use a lightweight wetsuit even in warm water in order to avoid sunburn.  I learned by experience.

I have never walked on a beach in a thong or been in a pool with a thong, though I did wear a thong while visiting a few spas in Budapest. So I am really looking forward to next July when I will stay a few days in Phuket. As I understand from this board it's great to thong over there.

Is anyone around thonging at the same time? Just curious.

Take care!

Just got back from Koh Samui where my GF and I spent time thonging on the beaches. Thonging is reasonably common and quite accepted. As it was her first time we went to one of the more secluded beaches north of Chaweng, but once she was comfortable we were fine on the main beach and even in the hotel.
Thongs and toplessness are common, even in hotels. There are now several stores that sell them in both the main strip of shops, and some roadside stalls.

Hello All thong wearers,
I just came from Phuket. It is absolutely no problem wearing thong or gstring in public beach and hotel. I did in Patong Beach and Karon Beach with my girl friend. My girl friend only wore the tiny Wicked Weasel bottom. This was first time she was tanning in topless. Also, I wore the see-thru Dore. I met one european couple in hotel. We went to one northern beach (near Airport). This beach is not crowded compared to Patong or Karon. We could get nude tanning all day. After dinner, we did the after sunburn massage in town. the massage lady asked me if I mind taking off my underwear. I did massage in nude. She gave me a skillful massage. I was told to wake up after the massage was finished. It was very comfortable. After we left the parlor, my gf told me the massage lady is a boy. Anyway, she is very professional and friendly. My gf and I also went back to this parlor three times. They are very lovely. Now, I am planning to go visit Phuket in this summer. I hope to meet any thongers there.

Phuket, near airport, north of Patong or Karon. But when I look at Google map, there's Kammala, Choeng Tale & Sa Khu.
Sa Khu is the nearest to the airport, but getting here don't look easy. Choeng Tale beach looks long, think you mean this beach?
