Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:12/03/2017 12:58:25Copy HTML It was shorter girls with the one piece thongs, maybe for the higher cut legs. Are large number of thongs were on bigger girls, which actually gave me more confidence. If the girls are wearing what they want, then so can I.

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:05/30/2020 01:06:17Copy HTML I went to my local Myer in Perth today and they had some Hom Freddy g-strings. I bought the last 2 in my size. They were on clearance for AUD 20 each too.. What a pleasant surprise! The last time I saw Hom g-strings in a local store in Australia was 15 years ago at David Jones. |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:08/09/2020 11:43:21Copy HTML If you're talking about Australian underwear companies:
My first thongs were Croota Thongs. They are what I would consider 'bikini thongs' rather than true thongs but they fit well.
https://www.croota.com/productcategory/men/underwear-men/thongs-jocks/
While I haven't tried them out, Obviously thongs seem well regarded.
https://au.obviouslyapparel.com/collections/thong
I would recommend waiting for a sale and getting one or two from each company to try out. P.S. I'm a New Zealander living in New Zealand BTW. |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:08/27/2021 02:13:06Copy HTML It's a shame that anyone cannot enjoy wearing what they want and have the internet critics aka TROLLS crawl out of the sewer to shame this beautiful woman. People are so insecure of themselves that they have to project their own fears about their bodies onto others. |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:09/12/2021 09:06:38Copy HTML Hello fellow thongers!
This might be a long shot but is there any good thonging spots in Mildura? Or better yet anyone close by that might like to have a thonging buddy? Cheers |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:11/14/2021 03:34:06Copy HTML Has anyone been out and about at the Gold Coast this weekend? Yesterday morning I went for a walk along the beach from Kirra all the way to Tugun and back (8km return) wearing my new Ergowear X4D swim thong in the blue calypso colour. Along the way I got a few compliments from runners, which was nice. When I got back to my towel I had left at Kirra there was a lady (probably in her early 30s) who was sunbathing close by in one of the Wicked Weasel "underwater bliss" thong bikinis, and who had a Kelpie that barked and came running over to me for a pat. She noticed and I asked her if I could play fetch with her dog. She obliged and we chatted for a while and walked down to the surf while I threw a stick for her dog. I complimented her on her bikini and told her she looks fantastic. She smiled and said that she's never seen a guy wearing a thong before, but she certainly liked it on me, so that was a huge confidence boost. I'm probably going to head down to Burleigh this afternoon some time. |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:10/27/2025 12:33:53Copy HTML "Australian beaches are now a sea of bums. But some people want to put a stop to it.
Yes! Truly.
Because apparently, we're still policing what women wear."
Unluckily, we are policing what men wear even more than women.
Woemen are right to defend their rights to wear what they want.
I hope that mens will be brave enough to defend their liberty too. |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:10/27/2025 07:12:13Copy HTML I think the article is positive, pointing out the stupidity of policing what women wear.
Nothing was about policing what men wear. |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:12/14/2025 12:33:37Copy HTML Not many thongers in WA. I have started thonging at the beach in Bunbury. Only go to quiet sections at the moment. Get a few looks, some laughs from young guys down beach.
Wore a thong at recent holiday in Mandurah and Jurien no problems with the wife (not thonging)
I want to thong at every beach i visit.
Wish more guys wore a thong or even a speedo and ditched the shorts.
How great it would be to go down the beach and guys in thongs was normal. A little bit of Europe.
You guys keep thonging. You're doing great. |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:12/14/2025 04:22:27Copy HTML I’m from WA too. i don’t thong at crowded beaches. I have thonged at the Swanbourne nudist beach quite a bit, at warnbro nudist beach once (my favourite) and at the dogs beach at City beach. |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:12/22/2025 08:44:42Copy HTML Some dude on YouTube has been posting 4K walking videos of Bondi Beach and other beaches in Australia. An incredible number of thong along the beaches and in the nearby stores! It looks like thong paradise!! No guys in thongs though. |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:12/23/2025 12:56:58Copy HTML Australian beaches are awash with thong wearing females right now. Most days at most beaches, about 2/3 of females of a certain age group will be wearing a thong or g-string. They have been the trend for several years now.
Briefs (particularly Budgy Smuggler) are vastly increasing in popularity, but definitely still in a minority.
Guys in thongs are as rare as ever. Some of us are still representing though :D |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:12/23/2025 03:32:52Copy HTML Yes, it is a wonderful thing with your opposite summer than we have in the northern hemisphere. Thongs are starting to be more popular here in the American Upper Midwest, traditionally conservative. I have seen more than V-string/g strings recently. A few years ago during the pandemic I saw a woman in what must have been the world's smallest g-string. Three triangles held together with piano chord-like thread. From behind she looked completely nude :) |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:12/26/2025 02:54:23Copy HTML so many thong wearers ...all female.
the true paradise you speak of probably only exists on parts of south beach and a few other limited places in the US, as well as some very limited places in europe (for men).
thongs are ever increasing in popularity with women but younger generations of men are as conservative as ever and aren't even trying them (you can't even buy underwear anymore in most department stores around the world). i wonder if people on this board are still holding to the delusion that "it's going to get better" ...just a few more years! |

Re:Thongs in Australia Date Posted:12/29/2025 07:24:05Copy HTML Definitely way more blokes in Aus rocking Budgy Smugglers, but if you dare to bite the bullet and wear a thong fair chance you’ll be the only guy on the beach.
Tough to get attitudes/trends to change when you don’t even see male swim thongs in major stores, so you would need to actively seek them out if you wanted to wear them. And the few stores that do sell them here like Team M8 or Daily Jocks market towards gay guys, so probably doesn’t help the stigma that your swimwear is linked to your sexuality. Proud straight male thong wearer right here. As for womens options in Aus where its raining thongs this summer with all major brands selling them. |
