Seems to me like cable news would try to avoid anything potentially salacious, and I can't imagine Fox is interested in presenting the thong as a mainstream swimwear choice, so why even include the back shots? Because it fits the narrative: "the hot blonde with her ass hanging out doesn't know anything about powerful women."
But I have a lot of problems with Fox News to begin with, so take my two cents with a grain of salt. |

Congrats to them for being so open, and not even making a big deal about it. They took it in stride, as if it's the mainstream norm. As for casting young folk as dumb about what's going on in the world, Jessie does that all the time, for our entertainment. Admittedly the hot blonde's ass hanging out may have been purposely made to appear incidental, but still for our entertainment . . . . and I was surely entertained! Way to go, Fox News. (BTW, the wife ignored it while I cheered.)

I was actually surprised to see him interview the guy who was wearing the red bikini suit. How often do you see a guy on TV wearing so little? I thought for sure that he would get made fun of for what he was wearing. Didn't happen and no mention of his suit style. Maybe we are seeing more acceptance of brief swimwear. Sure hope so!

The lady likes thongs, the guy likes speedos, so what? They're individuals, they don't deserve the derision too often thrown their way. Fox didn't do it, plaudits to them.

Nowadays, it takes some serious filtering to try to deduce the truth from stories generated by most of the mainstream media. Virtually every one of these outlets has its own extremist agenda.
On the positive side, at least Fox now seems to be a little more open minded about the wearing of small swimwear. |

I'm always ready to reply by calling out the propaganda mouthpiece of the GOP. I'm very passionate about the current state of political vibe in the counrty. In my exchanges with Right wingers on Facebook, I have unfriended many so called friends that posted the most vile and outrageous statements about progressive liberals and the POTUS. In the past I would have NUKED a teaparty minion, but now I have learned to temper my discourse of ideas with facts and reason. But sometimes that doesnot work with these types. But time for me to get of my soapbox. This is all about enjoying thongs! Peace out.

Don't forget the Fox News demographic got thongs banned from Florida State Parks. But thong wearers are safe for the time being. That demographic doesn't have time to be afriad of thongers at the moment, having a full dose of fear from gay marriage, Mexicans in the US, and Muslims in the Oval Office. |

Re Fox. Being in Australia, don't know much about it. However, as it is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp, you can guarantee it will have right wing bias. Murdoch is famous in Australia for having his newspapers only print his views. No ethical journalist would work for him, hence his papers end up with second rate journos scared to offend the boss. Funnily enough, he did on one occasion decades back support the Labor (our centre left) Party, so was blatantly biased for them. Watching some of Murdoch's response to the recent political upheaval here, where the Liberal (our conservative) Party deposed of there own leader (currently Prime Minister!), I reckon he's going a bit senile. After all he is 84. |
