I only did one place and that was near Kemer (airport Antalya). Even at the beach or the pool from the Hotel: no problemo, for women and men... Have a nice holiday. Within 4 weeks, I'll be there also.

Hi, better late as never.  I went to Turkey last two weeks and is was great.   Women and men are walking without problems in thongs at the pool or the seaside.  Russians are the people who don't matter. Iranian people swim in bikini's.  We had a great time, next year again!!!

My wife and I are off to Turkey (Turgutreis) in September. My wife loves to go naked but this won't be possible there we know, but she has her wicked weasel thongs and was wondering how acceptable it will be. We've never been to Turkey before and although we like to wear less we don't want to upset the locals and cause offence. Has anybody any experiences or advice?

I have an Alphamoda thong and a rio back but I've never worn a thong on a beach or at a pool before. The rio back was bought as a compromise as I feel that although it is small there is just enough coverage to use in the hotel pool and to walk around without too much trouble (it's unlined though!). Do you think my wife would be OK to walk around in a WW thong ; 456, 446, 414 and 405 or use a hotel pool there?

As I say, we are looking forward to the hoiday but don't want it ruined by creating an atmosphere around our attire!

Hi,  I do not know Turgutreis, but in our Hotel near Kemer it was OK for both with WW and Alphamoda at the beach.  At the pool OK for your wife , rio back for you also.  Don't try your outfits at a public beach because the locals would be ...?

BTW: Turgutreis where is that? Kusadasi? Bodrum? Marmaris?

Thanks for the advice. Turgutreis is about an hour and a half from Bodrum. Looking forward to getting the swimwear out.

Re:Turkey

Just got back from Turkey (Turgutreis) last week. My wife wore her wicked weasels nearly all the time at the hotel pool and always at the beach. I was a bit shy about wearing the thong and only wore it twice on the beach, partly because I really liked my alphamoda with rio back, which I liked because it was fairly safe coverage for walking around, but shows some cheek and gives a nice tan line!

Part of the problem for us was that she was the only woman wearing a thong on our beach though we did see more when we first arrived on neighbouring beaches and also the hotel was small and friendly. This sounds odd, but I hope some of you understand, but it was harder for both of us to bare more in front of people we'd got to know so well. That is mad because we never had one comment made about our beach attire but many admiring glances. Just to confirm what many have said about women's reactions to men in thongs. When I wore my thong the young women couldn't take their eyes off me and would nudge their friends to take a look and always they smiled and wanted to get a good look.

My wife had some new WWs this time and rally liked the naughtiness of her sheer 456. She was quite shocked by how much was revealed when she got it wet though! She was very reluctant to wear the 405 "cameltoe one" and thought it was too rude. When she saw the photos she believed me that it didn't look as bad as she thought: "it looks OK, but it feels very naughty". I'm hoping she'll wear that one more now!

I can't say if that part of turkey is good for thonging as we were end of season and resorts do change a bit at different times. I don't think we ever caused offence or great surprise. The water park was the most thongy place we visited and you can read about that on the water park page where I've written up a report.

Great holidays, cracking tan and happy memories

Re:Turkey

Date Posted:01/06/2005 02:07:21Copy HTML

I have spent my two-week holiday on the Turkish Riviera, from 18 Dec until 1 Jan. A part of my observations has been incorporated in a reply to a posting about which location to choose, not too far, sunny, thong-friendly etc. for a short shot of sun.
From Amsterdam Airport to Antalya is about 3,5 hours of flight. Then a mini-bus to my hotel near Side, about 1 hour. For me, this is just tolerable.
There were about 20 to 30 guests, later more. The hotel capacity was about 400 to 500. Some wings were under maintenance, but it was in no way visible or audible. I booked all-inclusive, so no trouble in finding a place to eat or to drink. The quality was reasonable to good, I have seen worse but also better hotels in the region..
The first few day were terrible, rainy with one day and night a real rainstorm, the empty pools flooded and there was 5 cm of water on the terrace. After that the weather improved, not very warm but ideal for beach walks with just a Speedo. The last week was perfect, blue skies, only a breeze, around 20 degr C. I did my beach walks but stopped also for tanning.
The beach West of Side is about 15 to 20 km until you reach a rocky outcrop. Beyond that point I did not check. My hotel was halfway that stretch. In the morning I walked towards Side with the sun in my face and in the afternoon the other way. Walking I wore a Speedo or a short, when laying I changed into a LC or VLC thong or string or VN thong, all from Dore. As there were a lot of locals working on the beach or just strolling, I did not venture into the Dore stuff while walking, just to avoid upsetting the locals. I do not know the situation in Summer but I think a lot of girls will be in strings and maybe topless. I also expect some thonging of the boys.
When laying along the beach, I tried to stay away from the hotels. Normally I took position between halfway the beach and the edge of the dunes. People were passing by at 25 to 100 m, I was in full view but not to close. When it was quiet for a moment, I walked a short distance along the sea in the small stuff. Once I was a little surprised when a local atlethic club of some 50 persons overtook me from behind, running. I wore then a VLC string but just some runners looked and smiled and then the stampede was over.
The beach was about 50 to 200 m wide, a little damp from the rain. Because there lays a heavy layer of clay below the sand, the water (rain or from the sea) will not run off fast.
Also because of the heavy rain, little torrents formed up and you had to jump to cross this. This disappeared in the second week.
Because of the season, there was a lot of rubbish on the beach but the cleaning had already been started.
All in all I was very satisfied about this holiday.

Hiya,

I recently returned from my holiday in Turkey and thought I'd post a report. I stayed in Gumbet, just round the corner from Bodrum with my girlfriend and had a great time. Fantastic weather, good food, beer and wine.

The beaches are shingle but no that bad at all. The water was really calm and fairly clear most days.

I spent the first day in my shorts trying to get a feel for the place and see how many others I saw in thongs. Initially, I was quite worried as I saw no-one else baring much flesh at all, but after a walk up and down the bay looking for a place to eat lunch, I noticed a few women in thongs and thought I'd best try to join them the next day.

I'm not one for seeking out the most crowded areas to thong and opted to go out early and find somewhere quieter to stake my claim at it were, so everyone joining would be aware of me and choose to move on if they weren't comfortable with my exposed derri?e. Whilst this is generally a good plan, it put the guy who hires out foam mattresses for the sunbeds in a dodgy situation. If people walked passed because of me, it was losing him business, and to be honest, there were more empty sunbeds around me than most areas along the beach. If he'd asked me to cover up I would of obliged without any fuss, but wasn't sure whether I was just being paranoid or not, and in any case he chose not to ask. Both me and my girlfriend did not feel comfortable with my arse out when there were lots of locals around and several times when returning to the beach after lunch I didn't take my shorts off for fear of upsetting them. I got one evil stare and a few people laughed, but most people didn't seem too bothered though.

At one point I noticed the sunbed mattress man chatting to another local, and then suddenly this other guy headed straight over to me. I started to get a bit nervous and quickly sat up as he approached. It turned out that he was a captain on a tourist boat and he invited us on one of his trips. He english wasn't very good so we just smiled a lot, and shook hands about seven times. He didn't stop to ask anyone else, so as I had thought, the sunbed mattress man wasn't happy and wanted us off his beach! Perhaps I should have reacted to his dislike and covered up for the rest of the week but I decided to keep at it, and in the end, the sunbed mattress man offered to take some photo's for us, and he even kissed us goodbye at the end of our last day, although whether this was really goodbye or good riddance, I'm not sure!

If you are male planning on thonging there, I'd say go for it if you're prepared to be (occasionally) looked upon a bit strangely. Maybe it would be worth going to the busier parts of the beach to test the reaction there and then let us know if it was any different. Of course, if you are female then there is no such problem...

Re:Turkey

It sounds like you had a great time and showed sensitivity towards the feelings of others on the beach. Our beach didn't have any other thongers, but nearby there were and there were no negative reactions. The water park at Bodrum was easily the most thong friendly with about a quarter of the girls (13 - 20 years old I guess) wearing them. I presume they are actually quite practical when sliding etc.

What did your girlfriend think of you thonging and her thonging?

Do you plan to carry on thonging in the UK or at home?

Re:Turkey

Date Posted:08/09/2005 02:37:19Copy HTML

My gf is happy for me to thong as long as we're aware from children and so long as she feels we are not upsetting anyone, which is fair enough and exactly how I feel really. She's not up for thonging unless she can get the body of goddess, which firstly I have believe she has already and secondly don't think you should need to wear a thong anyway, so long as you feel comportable in yourself.

Don't get to the beach much in the UK and would probably opt for shorts as so many of the nice beaches are rammed with people, and to be honest, I think the British tend to be the worst for attitudes against non-boardshort types. I do sometimes thong in the back garden if weeding or mowing the lawn, but I think only one neighbour is likely to notice and she hasn't complained... yet.

I'll hopefully be thonging abroad again next year.

Cheers,

Disregard the counter-propaganda from pk thong. Turkey  is probably one of the safest tourist destinations in Europe, and I am not talking only from the terorism threat perspective, but also safe in terms of ordinary crime like theft mugging etc. You will feel the presence of  both the public and private security personnel everywhere.

Topless sunbathing and thonging is totally acceptable and practiced widely. Total nudity is not tolerated.

Re:Turkey

I would agree.  Turkey is a very safe place with a low crime rate.  Even though you are a forigener and you don't speek the language you will almost allways get the correct change.  Murder and theft are just not a part of the normal culture.  You are more at risk in most of the other countries around the med.

That said, the roads can be danjrous and the drivers sometimes a little mad.   If travling overland I suggest using the very comfortable long distance buses instead of renting a car.  it is a very safe way to travel.

Turkey is a conservitive country with a lot of history.  It is worth getting off the beach, covering up, and seeing some of the country.   It is also a very BIG place.  Don't make the common mistake of trying to go too many places with too little time.

I agree totally with art127 and JM Runs. Turkey is safe. It is the top destination for Europeans to travel to. Even more than Spain or Italy and France. I would only say to JM Runs that we rent a car every year and all went well every time. Indeed the traffic is pure chaos but I like that :-)

Driving in Paris or Italy is the same.

Hi everybody.

I came from Turkey. I was in Belek (Megasaray Club) in Jule 2008. I say there a lot of women in thongs but never men.

I wore Joe Snider Capri Bikini only at the beach and speedo bikini at the pool.

Usually men wear bikini or shorts. I was the only man who wears very small kind of swimsuit.

My wife and I have just returned from Marmaris. There were quite a few women in thong bikinis and lots were topless at both the hotel and beach (oddly there were only a couple of them in just a thong - it seems odd to cover one up and show the other off - can anyone enlighten me?). As usual, I was the only man in a thong...Turkey seems very thong and topfree friendly - and it was blazing sunshine for two whole weeks.

I now live in Turkey and wear a thong on most beaches. If there are Turkish families about then I don't walk up and down the beach in my thong. They are acceptible for men and women. You will get a few stares, as anywhere else, but as a thong wearer for many years I know you can't beat the comfort and feel of a thong. I think a lot of guys and girls would love to have the confidence to wear a thong on a public beach. It certainly helps the suntan as well. I personally hate getting out of the sea with big, floppy boxers on, which are relly uncomfy when wet. The places I know well and have worn thongs on are Patara, Olu Deniz, Kidrak, Gemile, Butterfly Valley. If it's ok to wear thongs here then the bigger resort areas will be no problem.

Last week I return from Turkey (Lara, Delphin Diva Hotel).

During 10 days I was the only man who was wearing small bikini (No-tie nada from Nu parr).

I didn't see thongs on men only some womens wore them. My bikini was so tiny (it was the smallest men's swimwear on the beach) and people stared at me.

We go to Maramris every year for 2 weeks.
I alway wear my thongs at the hotel pool and beach. We spend most of our time out on boats. Either all day fun cruises round the bays or on the dive boat I always use. So for 10 of the 14 days I was on boats! We have the wifes parents with us each year and they come on the fun boats with is. It often very cramped on the top sun deck so it needs great confidence to strip to a thong there but I find it's best to just roll up and not hesitate. Stay stood up and strip off and stay stood up and apply sun screen. So within a few minutes every one knows what you are wearing and you can just get on with the day. Go for a stroll round the boat and chat with some fellow shipmates. It avoids that business when you are feeling shy. It's no good sitting there with your clothes on wishing you hadn't worn a thong because your too nervous to strip off the shirt and shorts. The longer yo sit there the harder it gets....Then you slip off the shorts and stay seated then are afraid of moving in case people see your bare bum. Just get em off and be proud of your thong!
I only get positive coments. Some of them very positive!
I go on the dive boat alone because none of the family scuba dive. Apart from the time I'm in my diving gear I spend the whole time on the sun deck in  my thong. This year I had my new Joe Snyder Mini Cheek "Boxer". Its just a wonderful cut that is extremely brief up fornt and cut like a broad thong on the back.Very comfortable to wear under a wet suit. I like the cut so much that I decided that I'd wouldn't get dressed for the walk back to the hotel. About a twenty minute walk.So when we got back to the harbour I just put my bag over my shoulder and strode off along the promenade. This is a very nice suit it's a thong but not a thong. It covers nothing at the back but from the side it looks like it does! At the front it's sits very low!I got some good stares and a few people started to follow me to have a better look. I've seen girls walking along the promenade in thongs so I was claiming one for the men.
At the point where I had to cross the main road leave the beach area I decided to put my shorts back on and not cause any accidents.
Turkey may be a conservative country but in the big resorts they are just like European resorts. Anything goes!

My wife and myself were in Turkey for 5 days in 2010 in late September. We stayed at the WOW Topkapi Palace Hotel - Kremlin Palace Hotel on Lara Beach about 10 kms east of Antalya, and it was absolutely thong friendly for men and women.
I wore a thong and Anna a thong bikini all around the resort, even walking from our room to the pools and beach. The hotels are a twin complex, very large grounds with mini waterparks in both.
No problems walking to the pool bar or beach restaurant in a thong either.
We actually stayed in The Topkapi Palace but generally walked through to the Kremlin Palace pool and beach as it was more relaxed. We stayed Thursday to Tuesday inclusive, and thongs were definitely the norm for all Russian, Slovak, Polish girls and most women (we saw a lot of combinations of mother in an old style bikini and teen or 20s daughter in a thong, also most young mums were in thongs), and on 3 other men loads of speedos though. A couple of Turkish girls in thongs, but the rest in bikinis (the young girls in very skimpy ones, the women in larger). There were less thongs on the last two days as more English turned up and they were less Eastern European, though a lovely middle-aged Dutch couple were happy to walk around the pools and beach in thongs (takes about 15 minutes) and took a couple of photos for us.
The only negative comments were some (sadly) English people laughing when I walked past.

I even wore a thong on water slides (Anna wan't sure that I should) - it is faster.
The only time I didn't wear a thong was when we went on the speedboat trip to the waterfalls for swimming and Anna pulled out my speedos which she had in her bag and INSISTED I wear them.
The boat was great by the way, most of the girls and women, including Anna in thong bikinis, but possibly not a good idea for men.
Topless was acceptable on the beach but perhaps not by the pool.
On the last day we walked along the beach (about 200 meters) to the next hotel and into their pool area (wow nice) and it was full of thongs on almost every woman and girl over 14, and a few men. Hotel is Venezia Palace, but is only available from UK via the internet, such as Travel republic, clientèle Russian, Polish, Czech, Romanian, etc.
PS - I have heard many negative things about Russians and I have also met a few very rude ones, but when we were there, they were a delight (happily so as they made up the largest number of guests along with Turkish)

Never seen any other men in thongs in Turkey anywhere that I can remember and only seen a few girls wearing them on boat trips.

To be honest though, I do rather like to turn heads :)

Sunson, sorry misunderstanding there.
I was not wearing a thong, my wife said an absolute no for the boat trip, though she encouraged me elsewhere, so it was the only place I did not.She did wear a thong bikini on the speed boat trip.Nickname, I'm sure a dive boat would be perfect. I think most of Spain/Canary Islands are probably better and safer for a man to wear a thong on the beach, but agree 100% that Turkey is much better for a manthong around a hotel pool, pool bar and complex.

@AlanMArtin - thanks for sharing your pix - nice ones. I have the same thong you have on the pix (at least the cut, not the brand).Question to you: when your wife says to you, you should wear thongs, does it mean, she wants to see you in thong, or she means it´s OK to you to wear thongs? My wife likes me in thongs, but on the beach, when she says wear thong, I think she´s srather telling me it´s Ok to wear thong there, not that she wants to see me in thongs there.
@Ncknameinuse - you´re crazy;) How old are U? Are you travelling with your GF/BF or solo? I wish I go to boattrip in thongs, but I had to be sure, there´s noone from my country and no one makes photos. Well, photos for somes isn´t that bad, but I would not like to land on some internet site in my thongs:) And Snorkeling in thongs - also my dream....Gotta look for your other posts here cause I got a afeeling you had a lot of adventures with thongs.

Sunson, during a Windjammer sailing cruise in the Caribbean a few years back, I went on a kayaking excursion with a dozen or so of my shipmates.  I wore my tan-thru sliding g-string when paddling, swimming off a beach, and snorkeling.  Everyone saw me -- normal socializing -- but no one snapped my photo, and I didn't end up splashed across the web.  I don't think you need to worry too much about that.  Just be a regular guy and act like everyone else.  You just happen to have a different choice in swimwear; they'll soon get over it.

Hi, I was 46 when we were in Marmaris in August this year. Now I'm 47!
I was with my wife and her slightly crazy parents. They and others in her family have seen me in thongs many times over the years.

My mother in law positively encourages my thonging and took my photo in Marmaris to show here friends :)We have booked our Turkey trip for next year already.

I've been thonging for so long now that I'm not really that self concious of it any more. I just act natural and hide nothing. You should give it a go. It's all about confidence!

Here's a video of the twin hotels by a Romanian travel agent with his wife wandering around in a thong (30 seconds in and most of rest).
Anna and myself stayed in Topkapi and mainly wandered though to Kremlin Palace and beach dressed exactly as she is.At the end you can see her wandering through the gate to the Topkapi Hotel.

Just back from my annual 2 weeks in Marmaris, Turkey, with the wife and parents in-law.
It was hot, hot HOT!
We were a couple of months later than usual and were there for peak holiday season. Very busy.
My standard beach/pool/boat attire is now either the Jovana Extreme Micro String or Extreme Micro T String.
By the pool no one really commented. There was a bit of pointing and smiling but certainly not negative. I've now got a small tattoo on my pubic bone which can only be seen when I'm shaved and wearing the least possible. I think that draws as much attention as the thong!!
Out on the lazy day boat trips it was the same story. We are packed in like sardines on the sun deck so it's anything but private.A pair of young English men set up station alongside me one day. They were in the usual dork shorts and soon noticed what I was wearing-a bright pink Extreme Micro String :)They discussed it between themselves then one of them asked me where I get such things from. I explained about not finding them on the high street and that I had a spare one in my bag if he'd like to try it!He declined explaining that his package would definitely not fit into one. We chatted some more and I explained that it's how you pack that counts. Aware that many people were listening to us he then said that it would be really bad to get aroused while wearing one. I explained that it's never been a problem in 30 years of thonging!
My thong got some further mention during the day but it was always in good spirit.
Out on the dive boat one day I was sat relaxing when a local man appeared and said hello. It was a dive guide who worked on that boat a few years previous and had remembered my name for some reason :) He smiled and mentioned my "boxer" as he called it.
The Dive Boat was very popular with young Dutch people this year as it's being promoted in a hotel aimed at that demographic. They were all really good people. The girls wore conservative bikinis and the boys wore their Dork Shorts over their designer under pants with about 4 inches of waste band showing. I thought they were crazy and they thought I was crazy! Smiles all round :)
Anyway, boats are a great way to get a tan!
On a couple of days I wore a Jovana fabric enhancer ring under my suit. It gives a great effect but not for the feint hearted. It does prove that there is room for some expansion and still remain "legal"!
Sadly I was the only thonger, male or female :( The closest I saw was a forty-something mother of three who had an amazing figure and didn't mind that her toned bottom had "swallowed" the back her bikini.
So many beautiful people yet so much surplus fabric!
My seemingly one man crusade against Dork Shorts will continue in October when I return to Tenerife. I usually purchase a boundary pushing design for wearing there.
I wonder how bare I dare next time? :)

Hi, I live in Turkey. I thong on the beach about 10 minutes from where I live, at Olu Deniz, near Fethiye. If you go east along the cost there is Antalya, Alanya, Patara (my favourite beach, 17km long). It' not difficult to thong in lots of places in Turkey, but you should remember it's a Muslim country and be a bit discret and also sensitive if there are local families around. If you want info of a specific area let me know. Turkey is a beautiful country, I hope you enjoy it. I am travelling in SE Asia at the moment and will be home in mid April.

Antalya, Alanya and most places in between. In some hotels, thongs will be the majorrity.

I spend 2 weeks in Marmaris every summer with my wife and in-laws.
I wear minimal/micro thongs at the hotel pool, out on day trip boats and the beach.
Pretty much the same as I do anywhere!
Marmaris is quite modern in its outlook and no one really cares what you wear, though I wouldn't recommend that single females wander round in thongs away from busy tourist areas. The resort became popular with Russian tourists in recent years and some of the petite ladies are spectacularly blase about thonging. From dusk to dawn, some of them don't hide their modesty wherever they go!

We returned from Marmaris on Friday after our annual 2 weeks.
Much later than usual. We thought September would be a bit cooler. As it happens we had a heat wave. 33deg most days. Not a drop of rain in the resort all month up to us leaving on the 25th.
I hadn't actually bought any new suits or this trip but intended to try out a couple of my "riskier" suits.
At the apartments pool I wore either my pink or powder blue Jovana Extreme Micro T-String  http://jovanadesign.com/en_GB/p/Extreme-Micro-T-String/42
This is the most coverage I had all holiday.
One day by the pool I noticed a group of women getting pictures of me with their phone cameras and iPads. Then they started making "selfies" with me in the background. They were talking among themselves then one came over and just asked if she could take my picture "with that" pointing at my suit.I agreed even though my wife wasn't very impressed.
Most people round the pool had double takes and pointed me out to others. No negative comments that I heard.
I do a lot of Scuba Diving on holiday and like to work on my tan between dives. I decided to give my Jovana Extreme Smallest G String a first ever outing. http://jovanadesign.com/en_GB/p/Extreme-Smallest-G-String/74
It's pink with white elastic. Not strictly a balls out style but requires extreme care to stop anything flopping out! When positioned right it covers about 75%. From the side quite a lot is visible. When I arrived at the boat I set my equipment up and then headed up to the sun deck for the trip to the dive site. There were a few on board. I stripped down to my tiny suit and all eyes were on me!
For the dive I went back down stairs to kit up. By the time I got down my suit wasn't covering as well as it had been :)Luckily I wear a full wet suit for diving.
Back on board I stripped back to the tiny suit and sat talking to people. There was a young dutch guy with his mother, both having try-dive experiences. He was a personal trainer and utterly beautiful. Sadly he didn't wear a thong but he did wear nicely fitted, though not skin tight square trunks. I was flattered by the number of times that when I looked over at him he was already watching me. Perhaps contemplating getting a thong? :)Well, my first outing in that suit was a success and a new level in minimal coverage. I was very comfortable in it too.

We spent a day on Icmeler beach. It's the neighbouring resort and has a nicer beach. As usual I wore my favorite pink Extreme Micro T-String. I got lots of looks and more pictures being taken.
I did see a couple of ladies wearing thongs there. One in particular was in fine shape. And she knew it!!Later in the day I noticed a young guy walking into the water wearing a conservative black thong. Two men on the same beach at the same time!

The next day back at the apartment pool there was a new group of forty-something women. They liked my suit too. Phone cameras clicking away. One of them commented that it would beat any post-card. Lots of nudging each other and giggles....
For my next diving day I wore my metallic blue Extreme Smallest G-String. The metallic fabric isn't as stretchy as the pink one I wore previously. Very difficult to keep everything in. Not really  possible with about 60% coverage. Things kept popping out.I decided the best policy was to stop constantly adjusting everything and allow it to reach "equilibrium". No negative comments but one woman couldn't stop smiling and eventually came over and we chatted about diving.

Two days later I went diving again. I took the decision to really go for it this time. Under my shorts for the walk to the harbour I wore the Red Tangaland Tear Drop String - Extra Small which I bought last year but thought I'd never wear: http://www.tangaland24.de/products/en/Men/Men-Teardrop-String-extra-small.html
The photos are misleading. It is a balls out suit. Just not enough fabric to cover anything but the shaft and it barely does that!
As back up I had the metalic blue Jovana suit in my bag from two days previously. On the boat I'd kitted up and went upstairs for the trip out. Normally I'd strip down straight away but I was hesitating. There were about 15 people on board. While deciding whether to go a change into the slightly bigger Jovana suit I got chatting to two English sisters (not youngsters) about the diving experience they were there for. Then the call came for me to go down to suit up for the dive. My heavy denim cargo shorts had to come off now!I took a sharp breath and pulled them off. I was just about naked. The suit was just holding my thing down, not fully covering it and everything else was out in fresh air!On my way downstairs one of the sisters commented on my not being shy saying "don't like to hide anything, do you?".
As I pulled mywet suit on the bit of fabric on my groin just pulled away to one side. People were watching and I quickly got the wetsuit pulled up.
De-kitting after the dive was entertaining. I pulled the bit of fabric back over my thing and trotted off back upstairs to the sun deck. There were no more comments but I got lots of looks. I laid on my back on a mattress and the flatter I got the more things stood out and hung out. Again I took the decision to just let it reach equilibrium. I'd made sure I had sunscreen on already.
Walking round was weird. I couldn't believe there were so few comments. Stood talking to the sisters again was quite natural. I didn't try to hide anything and they seemed perfectly comfortable.

Back at the apartments I decide to experimnet with the Tangaland suit and a Jovana enhancer ring. It actually kept everything a bit more constrained. As expected with everything being a bit engorged the suit was under a lot of strain!
I decided to try this on my final day on the dive boat. On board were a lot of big hairy Turkish men and only a few tourists. I felt I was going too far in that company so went and changed to the Jovana back-up suit. still unbelievably little coverage but a lot less "in your face" than what I'd had on.
So that was it. I had a great two weeks. I tried some new suits and enjoyed wearing them.My tan lines are non existent.
Unfortunately it seems that Marmaris isn't a place to go thong spotting. I saw fewer this year than any other year previously.
I will continue to fight that trend :)

Anyone been this year in Turkey? Any thonging or g-stringing womens and males? I'm planning to go in September.
