	Date Posted：05/23/2023 05:08:06Copy HTML If any of you are in Vancouver, BC Canada it looks like the parks board is running a trial for a year with a new swimwear policy. min short it states Swimwear is ok. With two side notes stating it needs to cover the genitals and not be of sexual nature. In the article they also state that String Bikinis are fine It doesn’t however say anything about thongs or cheeky suits. The also main line items is topless for everyone is ok, and street wear, cotton, denim is not ok. So next time you’re out at a Vancouver pool let us know what you see and if you try going for a thong man or woman’s.

Read as follows: Clothing worn outside of the pool are is not permitted for bathing in the pool (s) and or spa (s) Appropriate swimwear is made of tight-fitting fabric that allows the body to move freely, does not impede buoyancy and does not create an increased risk to the bather's safety. the swimwear is clean, reserved exclusively for use in bodies of water and is ideally made of fabric that does not disintegrate in water. Loose-fitting clothing or clothing made of absorbent fabrics are examples of unacceptable swimwear. This type of clothing diminishes the bather's swimming skills and constitutes a hazard. Clothing made of disintegrating fabrics ( cotton, polyester wool, etc ) Interfere with water treatment systems and are therefore unacceptable as are any other outfits that present a safety or hygiene concern.

But, somehow, I am going to guess that is not going to be enforced. I have been around long enough to know that what is posted, even if "official policy", and what is actually enforced can be very very different. Sometimes different-good and sometimes different-bad for sure. Do keep us updated. This is a thread worth following.

Both men and women are not allowed to show their private parts in public. And if a woman can show off her cheeks in public, so can a guy. There are no double standards.

If people apply a double standard, rules are exactly the same for both genders. No double rules, otherwide it would be considered as gender discrimination which is illegal. For example, if a swimming pool (public or private) have rules forbidding thongs for men, but accepting them for women, you could suing and you should win. 1 exception : breast. Women have to wear a top while men can be top less. It is the only gender discrimination

We specifically put our towels down next to two Chinese gals who were in g-strings and when a group of Australians walked by they looked over and obviously saw 3 bums one of them said, "He's wearing a budgie smuggler, good for him".

This was confirmed at a press release by the Parks and Rec in 2023. I always wear my thong swimsuits without issues, for lap swimming, hot tub and sauna at local pools. On sunny summer days, kits pool is well populated with bare bums but they are all women, except me.
