Last year I only saw one dedicated g-string lady brave enough to walk around in a string at the suburban beaches I go to in Minneapolis. The City of Minneapolis allows topless women pretty much anywhere.

I don’t know when it specifically occurred, but I have recently realized no one really cares. Maybe it was when I saw women wearing thongs at a wave pool in Pittsburgh. As soon as I found out they were permitted, I wore one on my next visit. Not a word was said by anyone. Even the county officer on duty just acknowledged my presence on his rounds. Even since then, I have unapologetically worn thongs and g-strings where they are permitted.

At the water park near me there are rules specifically saying "No thongs permitted" yet everyday I walk by I'm sure to see 1 or 2 in the few seconds I'm passing by the windows. As a male I've worn by t-back thong for the whole day there and no one's ever said anything. This style is very common now and lots of support for anyone to wear anything

One would feel they are doing it for some purpose. Show off their hard work in a pool or beach thong. Wrong many gals are all to self conscious to fashion such provocative bikini bottoms. Many will play it safe wear full bikini bottoms only so not to have any issues with authorities.

It's been super fun and the neighbors are getting a view this year! I'll post pics to one of my albums once they're ready....At the beach I stick to the regular thong though. Not sure if the crowds at Minneapolis beaches could stand a man in a g-string, though I'm guess most people won't care. Maybe I should give it a shot this weekend?

There are very few full back or even rio back swimsuits being worn by women here. Many are wearing thongs but most seem to go for near or wannabe thongs. True g-strings are much rarer than they used to be. Guys seem to be going for shorter dork shorts and some are even switching to bikinis. Thongs and g-strings are still rare.

Spent every afternoon out by the pool at the hotel just chilling, walking around, grabbing drinks, the whole thing. The compliments came nonstop from both guys and girls. Multiple women told me how good they looked and how confident I seemed. A few guys actually came up and straight-up asked, “Bro, where do you get the confidence to pull that off?” One even said he wished he had the balls to try it himself. Zero weird looks, zero negativity. Just pure positive vibes. Honestly felt amazing. If 2026 is the year of the g-string, Vegas already got the memo. Anyone else rocking them poolside this summer?

Have good vibes and definitely enjoyed sun beach and freedom. Pity it's time to look forward but definitely one of best Summers in last years.

I normally don’t mind them but have preferred the look of a thong until I got a couple made. The look I absolutely love is a tiny triangle back that finishes with a string through the buttocks. Not sure why I prefer this over the T-string look but the few strings I have are so comfortable and imo look amazing! Would you consider a g-string a true g-string even with a triangle back? I’ve posted a pic in my gallery for context

I’d love to say I wear them everywhere but I’m still a bit cautious and tend to wear in quiet/private areas or under clothes when out and about. I did check out your pics and the G-string on show is phenomenal! That’s a T-back to the letter haha. how do you find string in comparison to elastic between the cheeks? And do you manage to wear that string publicly?

In my pics I’ve been to beaches in Bali, France and Spain as the uk doesn’t quite have the weather for it. I did have more pics from previous trips but sadly they have now been replaced with question marks.

Sort of like Havaiana sandals vs other thicker sandals- the thin strap sandals are declared in fashion this summer- again! Well and some hi fashion houses using the T junction to show off their logos with a jeweled piece- like CC or GG interlocked.

Minneapolis allows topless anywhere, except in businesses. I once was driving down a parkway and saw a very busty woman biking with friends topless, over I-394! That is bold.
