Date Posted：07/06/2014 09:07:13Copy HTML My wife and I just returned from Assateague State Park, the water was a little cool and the wind was blowing the sand around a bit but we still had a great time in our g-strings, no sign of the rangers (in or out of uniform) during the four hours we were there but we don't usual pay them any mind because we keep our swimwear on for the most part...:)We didn't see any other thongers, lots of walkers in dork shorts looking at us and smiling, on the walk out we saw a couple guys in speedos....guess all the drama yesterday scared everyone off....too bad.

Had a G-string on and three ranger-looking people passed by and saw me but they were more interested in the piping plovers. no one said a word. Needed a wind screen today but otherwise very nice as usual.

Has a ranger confirmed this or is it just assumed from the lack of citations? Checking old posts it looks like the last time a ranger told someone to cover up was 2012 and a warning ticket was issued in 2011. So have things changed for the better? I don't want to assume thongs or g-strings are ok and find out differently from a ranger.

For those of you who Thong at the State park, how far up do you generally walk to get to the area where Thongers usually hang out? I was able to visit once last year (see avatar pic) and walked at least 40 minutes or so and never managed to see anybody. I'd like to join like minded people while I'm there (as long as they want to be joined by anybody) but I'm not quite sure how far north I need to go before I can expect to start seeing anybody else. I may even try to get out there this Saturday (7/12) if I can. Anybody else going to be there?

Date Posted：07/11/2014 07:26:03Copy HTML Would depend on where you started from Fsanford82. if you are starting from the parking area at the state park and beach, you need to walk towards Ocean City, and once you pass the end of the dune at the guarded beach, a 30 min walk is all it should take. I havent been there in 2 yrs, so not sure of the sign placements, but in the past, if you are not the first one there, you should see someone after the nudity prohibited sign, last time there were 2 of them and soon after the 2nd one is where people start laying out. Might be going there myself tomorrow,

Everyone worries about the rangers, it would that if everyone were in a group it would be easier to spot the rangers approaching. strength in numbers so to speak. I do like thonging but I would have to say that nude beaches are much friendlier. I am just happy that we have a couple options in Maryland for thonging and it is a short flight to Florida when I get withdrawls form nude sunbathing. I usually try to hit Assateague on weekdays since I am only a couple hours away and I hate the weekend traffic but that means a lot less thongers.

If someone- the fuzz- as they said then were coming they'd blow a whistle and everyone would cover up! More recently I've seen this set up for a couple who wanted to have sex on the beach- and not get busted!

I laid out about 1/2 mile north of the second nudity sign. Worn a g string; a ranger passed me 3 times, looked, but did not stop. Since I was the only person north of the second sign, it would be hard to offend or impress. That's right, nobody was there. It was just a few years ago there would have been a dozen or so thongers out for a mid weekday at Assateague. I don't know what happened. The day was sunny and a breeze from the ocean tempered the heat, but it was still humid. Water was very refreshing. I read somewhere that the water quality at Assateague was in the top 5 of all east coast beaches. I agree! A very relaxing day and an easy ride back to Balto.

Date Posted：08/29/2014 08:47:40Copy HTML My wife and I were at the north beach in Assateague State Park from 11am until 1:30pm today, we both wore black g-strings and seemed overdressed and in much better shape when compared to everyone else, apparently it was "single naked old guy" day as we witnessed at least a dozen of them parading around the beach while staring at each other without a care in the world (even though the rangers were actively patrolling)...not our idea of a good company. The water warmed up to 76 degrees which was nice but the surf was rough from the passing hurricane well offshore, this will be our last trip to the beach this year, too bad it didn't meet our expectations.

Set up a couple hundred yards passed the No Pets sign. Beautiful afternoon. Wore an Undergear sting thong underneath my board shorts. Was able to layout in the thong once I set up. Only a few beach walkers yesterday. The ranger did pass by once. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Whenever this happens to me I can't help to laugh at the oddity of the situation. I just say "Sorry mate if I gave you the wrong impression but I could not be less interested." Usually the other guy gets the message and moves on. I have learned from the assertiveness of gay men and used it with women that I find attractive. More usual than not they appreciate my bold move cause it shows them confidence and honesty. I think many women might enjoy the idea of a guy finding them atttactive enough to want to have intercourse with them, however saying yes is another story. |

I'm beginning to think that sort of thing happens a lot on the north beach, unfortunately. I've only been fortunate enough to visit that section 4 or 5 times, and on two of those occasions I've been hit on by guys, one was a whole lot less subtle about it than the other. At 52 years of age, I'm flattered that anybody finds me attractive, but I'm a happily married man and I didn't come to the beach for sex. I'd really love to go there sometime and hang out with like minded people, nude or thonging, but it seems there are more than a few people who go there for more than just the sun. I'm still going to go when I can, I'll just be more prepared with a thanks, but no thanks at the ready. It's too nice of a beach not to go just because of that. |

I walked about 20 minutes north of the crowd on the beach and set up my beach towel, chair, etc. about a hundred feet from the water. I was about two hundred feet north of the "Nudity Prohibited" sign. I wore a green lime g-string on Monday and a red g-string on Tuesday. Each day, I spent half the time on my stomach and the other half of the time sitting. There was no one else who set up within two hundred feet of myself. A few guys wearing thongs/g-strings; several wearing speedos. No women that I saw in thong. People were constantly walking along the beach. There were two middle aged women who came close to me seemingly looking for shells, but I think they wanted to get a better view. Overall, I had two very nice days. I had planned to go again on Wednesday, but when I woke up, it was hot and humid. After my power stroll on the boardwalk, I showered and then headed north back home. I'll post the g-strings on my profile.

Please cutback on starting new threads. Post replies to to existing threads on the subject.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again. This will give you clean posts.
