A few shell collectors and walkers. Saw the 4 wheelers once and a truck picking up signs or something alone the dune line. Ran into a regular from Sandy pt and chatted with an acquaintance. The couple with the cart went by me and set up 100 yds north of me. They were both nude all day. I spent most of the day nude or in a pouch suit (no strings). I walked about a mile further north in just a g string. The water was crystal clear and azure blue. The ocean was relatively calm until high tide rolled in. I misjudged the water rise and got wet. I would say top 5 days at Assateague.

Still people were spread out with 100 yards between them. What is so wrong with hanging together? There's strength in numbers. We can look out for each other. The notion that people are worried what others might think is ridiculous. Is it about privacy? Seems to me, if you go to the beach, walk a mile or more so you can be naked, then why not be social about it. Its the secrecy and privacy that makes think something is going on thats not supposed to be. I did meet a nice couple from north east of Baltimore. They were very open and chatty. I enjoyed sharing stories and experiences with them. I swear, next time i go. Im taking a sign to invite people to have a conversation. We'll see how many stop. |

It's a pleasure to listen the to crashing waves and the plovers and just relax. I go to bars if I want conversation. We are blessed with 6 miles of a beautiful beach, spread out and enjoy. |

BUT there are a couple of weird guys at Assateague that will come over to you just because you wave back when they wave to you. They will not leave until you get so annoyed that you just have to blurt it out and say go somewhere else and leave me alone! |

I have run into one of the guys you are talking about. Very pushy! I had to do the same thing you did. But, i did not let it go on for long before I told him to pound sand.
The couple I met on Saturday were very cool and down to earth. They were also cautious about who they chat with. They were being watched by a young guy in long board shorts. He was using binoculars and he wasnt but 200 ft away. Kinda creepy.

I was at a local lake beach recently, tiny little sandy spot where it's known guys sometimes go nude. I was in the water with another guy when a third man appeared on the sand, fully clothed. He talked to us for a minute, then talked some more, then talked some more. He asked us a million questions about the water and the temperature and the depth and the sand, like he was just waiting for me to come out of the water and show him what I was wearing or not wearing (it was a thong). I made a show of doing the crawl back and forth as if to say hey I'm exercising here I can't talk. But whenever I'd stop he'd yell something else to me from the beach. Eventually I just had to say hey I'm just trying to have a swim here okay? And he buzzed off. I can't be bothered with a bunch of annoying small talk when I'm just trying to enjoy the day.

Date Posted：06/30/2019 10:27:56Copy HTML I was there yesterday and it was a beautiful sight.there were people in thongs all over the beach.as soon as i stepped on the beach there was 2 young ladies in thongs and as i walked north I saw a man and woman in thongs not far from the last lifeguard stand.after I got up past the crowds there were 3 young ladies laying on the beach and one was topless and just up from them was a nudist couple.cant wait to get back there again today!

Its easier to spot rangers or other officials. Like you, i would prefer a more social setting when it comes to nudity. On the other hand, i understand why people want to be away from others. You never know who the creepy people are. This is also why i never try to hide from onlookers or walkers. I do put on a skimpy thong or g string so i am not in violation of any local laws. I have spoken to people who have encountered a guy in board shorts who tends to set up very nearby although the beach is wide open. He uses binoculars in very close proximity to others. Which is very creepy. I really wish that beach wasnt 6 miles long. Then, maybe, we could have more socializing as nudist.

The peak is late September through the end of October. In NC it has been my experience that the worst storm to hit around here are in very late September and Early October and they formed off the Cape Verde islands. Unfortunately that is when the beach is at its best.

About 10 thongers/nudes on Saturday; about 15 or so on Sunday. Pleasant socializing for those who like that; a nice quiet time for those who tan alone. I got some nice compliments on my Gregg Homme Torridz thong, so that was nice also.

It wasn't quite like Lawrence of Arabia, but strong enough to blow a sprinkling of pesky sand constantly. Normally the breeze dies down around 2 pm, but yesterday it kept going. Around 3, a nice guy in a red speedo walked by and we began to chat. He showed me his wind screen and set it up. It worked amazingly, and he decided to join me. He stripped down to a cool orange thong (he's normally a nudist) and we spent almost 2 hours together until the wind did die down. I was in my semi-sheer Gregg Homme Torridz micro thong. He left and I spent another hour strolling the beach and chatting with various visitors/voyeurs. My thong keeps getting compliments. :) It was a great day at our beach. Two more days left for me; I hope the wind dies down now. :)

Date Posted：06/13/2020 10:21:44Copy HTML Yes, after you cross the bridge, keep going straight to the circle at the very end (don't branch off to the right before the circle; that takes you to the National Park; you want the Maryland State Park). As soon as you enter the circle, you see the booth to the right (there's normally a short line of cars on weekends and nice summer days; get there very early on 4th of July and Labor Day weekends). Walk to the beach, then north. After you pass the first "Nudity Prohibited" sign, you start seeing thongers, speedos, etc. The beach there is wide, so if you walk left toward the dunes to set up, you'll be invisible from those just strolling along the beach collecting shells. Thongers spread out a good distance from each other and tend to keep to themselves; in the summer the "thonger section" may be a mile long or more. If you want to socialize, give a quick wave if someone's looking your way. If you get a wave back, chances are the thonger is happy to chat a bit.

Out only from 9:30 to 12:00 and tan lines now VERY established. Wish I had seen more people, only one other thonger and one nudist. Maybe next time.

Please cutback on starting new threads. Post replies to to existing threads on the subject.
If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
First paste it into notepad or other basic ascii editor so that the formatting codes are removed, then cut again. This will give you clean posts.
