As we celebrated Canada Day yesterday, I found myself at one point in the afternoon really taking note of some of the freedoms we have that wouldn’t be granted to people elsewhere. As I laid in a hammock, wearing a black thong smoking a joint in plain view of all my neighbours. It dawned on me that in several places a man wouldn’t be allowed to wear only a thong around in public, especially while smoke weed. I believe that’s the best part of wearing a thong in public. The freedom it allows in your mind to be able to do and wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

My backyard is fairly private and I can often wander about naked. Today my neighbour was out working on a shed and I went out in a swim string. I hadn’t realised he was working on the roof. I stalled for a while before deciding to carry on with opening the vehicle up to keep the heat down a bit and did some watering. He could see me and possibly the guy who was working with him. I think he was embarrassed to see me like that. May have to have a conversation.

I haven't posted on here in a while. For the past few years I've taken an inadvertent hiatus from thonging. Just got busy with life and haven't prioritized tanning the cheeks. My thong tanline disappeared completely. Very sad, I know. But for the past several months every time go past the bathroom mirror I've been dissatisfied with how pale my butt has gotten (since my son has graduated and moved out, I'm nude in my house constantly, thus I see myself every time I go to the bathroom). So I was wanting to figure out a way to get in the sun on a regular basis and get my tanlines back. I've been thinking over where around my yard I could layout. I have neighbors on each side, both of whom I know well. My house faces east, to the south of me is an older gent who, if he saw me in a thong, might be a little surprised but really wouldn't give a crap. At least that's my read on him. To the north is a younger lady and her brother, who has his twenty-something friends coming and going with some frequency. They're nice fellas, but I don't want to venture their reaction to seeing a guy's butt cheeks out in the yard next door. My backyard is pretty wide open, no fence, the old-man neighbor would be able see me back there as well as several backyard neighbors, although there's a fair amount foliage that would obscure me from the young neighbors. It could work, but it's not great. The front yard is wide open to both neighbors. Finally, about two weeks ago, the idea struck me. I have three vehicles, two of which are SUVs, and I've always parked them parallel to my house. I had the brilliance to park one of the SUVs perpendicular to my house on the northeast side, so it would be between my yard and the neighbors to the north. Then I could park the other, bigger SUV parallel to the house, but with the right rear side panel almost touching the bumper of the perpendicular SUV, and the front right corner positioned a few feet from my large front porch that sticks out from my house about ten feet. So now that one is obscuring the south neighbor as well as anyone pulling up the shared driveway. And voila, I have a private, enclosed sunning area right in my front yard. Which I'm sure you can visualize perfectly from my stellar description. Grant it, going out in the front yard or back yard and just laying out, risking being seen, makes for a little more excitement and for better stories to share on here. But that's not the goal at the moment. I was just ready get tan again. And I've been surprised at how quickly it's come back. I lay out about four times a week, from about 11 to 11:30, just doing ten to fifteen minutes per side. No sunscreen since I'm out for just a short time. But after just two weeks I have pronounced tan lines. My goal is to get my butt as tan as my back. I don't know what compels me to desire a tan butt, but I sure am compelled. Has anyone else ever wondered this? Why do I want my butt tan? I just do.

I also haven’t had as much tanning time as I’d like. Yard has a lot of trees, so finding a sunny spot is hard. Discovered that the bed of my truck in the sunny driveway works great!!

Low-Strap I have wondered the same thing on many occasions, why do I want to tan my butt? I like the all over tan!? In the past I have arranged garden furniture and drying laundry to provide privacy, fortunately the hedges have grown and I can now tan on my back deck, I’m very grateful to those green leaves.

Usually in the spring and the fall I will set up on the back deck to catch some sun. I don’t work about the neighbor on one side since it would take quite an effort to seem me. The other neighbor is usually working or other wise involved in a project and doesn’t pay much attention to what I am doing on my deck. I have nothing but a big empty field behind the house, no concerns there. There are no children at either neighbor, so no worries there either.

Frontyard thonging: I wear g-strings in the front yard and on the street. Each morning I put on a thong, make a cup of coffee and walk around the yard and street. I pick up fallen palm fronds, putting the fronds out across the street for the city pickup. Clean up the fallen frangipani leaves and tie up straggling Clusia. My street is half a mile long, lined with houses and a busy street. Traffic is not just from the people who live here, but tourists looking at the houses and an endless parade of yard men, service workers, house and pool cleaners. None cut their own yards and most don't clean their own floors, so lots of service workers. They also have the funds to order ubers, food delivery and after school tutors for the children. Then there are the builders. Very active knocking down old houses like mine and building new. Right now there are about a dozen active demolitions and rebuilds. Apart from the tourists or delivery vans that slow down to take a longer look, there is almost no reaction. Neighbours wave if driving past or stop to talk if walking. There was a time when my public thong activity was mostly on the beach. I would hop on a bicycle and unless someone was in the right place at the right time to see me flash by they would not really notice me. After my ankle injury and general retirement I am now more around home, a lot. So people have grown accustomed to me, in the same way beach locals did in years past. Thonging round the home is much like thonging on the beach, just be cool. Be friendly to people who talk or wave, and ignore the occasional gawker. I'm in a thong or g-string around the house, street or when out paddle boarding past my neighbours houses. This last weekend I paddle boarded by the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show on both Saturday and Sunday. The waterway was very busy. Unless you see it first hand you have NO idea of the size of the show and NO idea of the size of the ships billionaires own. Both impressive and disturbing. Our waterways and canals are like streets, running past homes, business and restaurants. So as we paddle past people in their own backyards give a wave or say hello. I guess this means I am not just thonging in my yard and on my street but through the waterfront backyards of half the city.

Yeah, it’s that time of year again! When it’s too chilly to really get out on the paddleboard too often and only on the weekends since the sun goes down so soon now, it’s finding a quick hour to layout on the back deck in the mid-afternoon sun. I usually put one blanket on the railing on one side of our deck and for the most part, trees or part of the house blocks off and obscures other neighbors view unless they’re specifically looking my way. Sunshine on the deck and 60 to 65° F is perfect as you’re not really breaking a sweat at that point. It’s amazing how warm the deck boards get with the sun beating down on them and on your bunz. Sometimes I’ll do one of our company’s trainings or get some CPE credits while out in my thong on the deck. As my wife and I work at home, I just told her that I’m getting some sun for a bit and head on out. Sometimes she even joins me if she’s not too busy.
