Date Posted:05/23/2026 02:52:29Copy HTML 1. If you're a fan- what is your favorite closure style? My favorite is an elastic band type in the base...second is an elastic strap drawstring. Wearing while walking or swimming means you want friction and grip to stay up without drooping. Too much tension can cause slippage at the top or ball out at the bottom. 2. What's your favored closure method when wearing a drawstring? Mine is a two hole spring closure device- you know press to release/elongate cords. Second is tying a knot/bow. |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/23/2026 04:59:58Copy HTML 1. I like an elastic band around the base. Can't stand the drawstring types. Can never get those to stay on right.
2. Not applicable, only wear ones that are secured by elastic band only. |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/23/2026 05:35:54Copy HTML What are thoughts on tangaland24.de open baggies,https://www.tangaland24.de/de/men/bag-strings/men-bag-ouvert
Wife and I have our inground pool here in Charleston, surrounded by 24 foot high bamboo, so can wear anything or nothing. We also are members at Caliente in Land o lakes FL, a clothing optional resort, but often we like wearing a bit of something to leave a little to the imagination. Thinking the open baggie may be fun.
Also we spend time in south beach, 12th street, not sure if the open baggie would not draw too much attention. I have worn my tangaland24.de Gentleman cut which is very tiny as well as the micro mesh with narrow front.
Going to definitely put an order in for a few tangaland24.de baggies, just not quite sure of tge open front style, but it looks like fun
Thanks for your thoughts |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/23/2026 09:02:09Copy HTML FBG The tangaland ouvert isn't a baggie type suit---it is a form of G string! By definition a baggie is strapless! We may wear a strap or chain or sling with it butt it's not attached.
I think there's a tangaland thread on here with some thoughts about it. There are some Chinese copies out there too.
Regarding an "open baggie"-- yes I have experience. I have made my own! With stocking mesh fabric I've cut holes in 1. The tip for "head sun" 2. The bottom base- for the full sack "ball baring" fit. 3. Small openings on both sides of the base- for balls to pop out.
So obviously these are CO suits!
I've mostly worn them at pools and CO beaches. the #3 gets the most attention, the #1 gets the most comments from ladies. |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/23/2026 09:18:30Copy HTML Baggies have become my favorite swimwear. In places (like FL) where the basic rule is that the genitals must be covered with an opaque covering, they are the absolute minimum. I like that there is no strap digging into my side or going up my backside.
My favorite method of holding it on is a C ring with a clasp (like from Esculpta). That way I don't have to worry how tight fitting some elastic is, how secure the drawstring is tied, etc. This also lets me be creative with deerskin medicine bags or velvet jewelry bags (these feel fantastic!). |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/23/2026 11:21:54Copy HTML I too am very much a fan of baggies, beginning years ago when Wang Jiang Chinese swimwear company began selling solid colored baggies with drawstrings tipped with tiny skulls. One convenient source is Temu.com, a seller of all kinds of Chinese made goods. Their prices are quite low and include shipping. Lately they have also offered a slightly different baggie style with a spring loaded drawstring fastener. Both styles are offered in pattern prints as well as solid. Some are offered in see-thru fishnet. I wear mine mostly to pool parties and kayaking.

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/24/2026 07:08:53Copy HTML Baggie fan here too. I like the drawstring closures. What I do is wear a cock ring underneath, and then position the drawstring between the ring and my body. Never had one slip on me yet. |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/24/2026 11:57:20Copy HTML "Baggies" is the term used on this board but not so much elsewhere. In surfing the net, the terms "Tanning Pouch" and "Cock sock" are more likely to help you find products to buy.

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/25/2026 01:40:18Copy HTML "Baggies" is the term used by the kids around here back in the mid-1980s referring to those right-at-knee-length shorts. Think Michael Jordan's shorts. I believe the term came from surfers who wore similar shorts. I'm pretty sure if you asked a person outside this group if it's "OK for you to wear your baggy" they would think you wanted to wear very long shorts. There is a clothing company by the name Baggy. We should probably find another term. I've always preferred "pouch". When paired with a "belly chain", I'd call it a "G-pouch". |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/25/2026 10:43:24Copy HTML My concern with this style suit is keeping it in place. I understand some use an elastic drawstring or an expanding cock ring. Restriction for too long a period is not a good idea. Per the https://kingrings.com/faq/, using a properly fixed-sized cock ring can we worn all day. Regardless, I would still be concerned because when I go to the beach, I go all day. I would love to tan with no tan lines but would not want to take the risk. So instead, I think I'll stick to my the-bikini.com tear drop g-strings and move the strings from time to time to get an all-over tan. I have had no issues wearing this suit anywhere thongs are allowed. It also eliminates the issue where I would appear naked from the rear. When I go to the beach, I am active. I walk the entire beach for a couple miles or ride a bike for even longer. I would not want to be away from my set-up spot and have any issues with other beach goers or authorities. |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/25/2026 11:56:44Copy HTML I've always thought of them as a hood...over my man parts. I've proposed years ago calling them ManHoods. But that may conflict with people knowing my manhood is under the Hood!
Yes I've referred to them as Baggie strings, baggie slings or baggie chains to note what I've worn at the same time- not attached to the baggie. |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:05/26/2026 12:16:38Copy HTML Itanng is correct. The Beach Boys released Surfing USA in 1963
If everybody had an ocean
Across the U.S.A.
Then everybody'd be surfin'
Like California
You'd seem 'em wearing their baggies
Huarachi sandals too
A bushy, bushy blond hairdo
Surfin' U.S.A. |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:08/28/2026 06:49:48Copy HTML When wearing baggies many many times this summer I've always worn something else to avoid looking naked from behind- this is the issue that seems to get other people and or lifeguards involved. LG's may be trying to avoid a supervisor rolling up and them getting grief from their boss for letting a nudie hang out on the beach.
I now ascribe to the DoLoNudie (Don't Look Nudie) philosophy so wear a variety of things to show I'm wearing something from many or most angles.
That includes "baggie string"- a strap or string around my waist- a few are long drawstring strings that tie around the waist. Sometimes lately I'll wear a "baggie lifter string" which is a string that in front goes on the underside of the baggie lifting everything forward and up a bit.
A "baggie chain" is an aluminum chain around my waist unattached to the baggie- no real tanlines possible with reflections and pattern of skin contact and moving around.
A "baggie sling" is a strap or string through the crotch and over one shoulder- everyone figures out from behind that it's a form of swimsuit.
One thing that would work but not for me would be a tattoo around the waist simulating a thong from behind! More temporary and maybe already tried by someone else would be a body paint strap! |

Re:Beach Baggies Date Posted:09/09/2026 11:38:43Copy HTML I have worn something strapless in back: a glued on, leopard print, irregular cloth patch, a bit larger than the size of a playing card. I stick a piece of wide carpet tape onto a small piece of leopard print cloth and cut out an irregular shape. The carpet tape has a second sticky side under wax paper which I peel off and stick the patch onto one butt cheek. It provides no coverage, but it is something to match a leopard print baggie up front. There are places where I skip the baggie part altogether, and others where I make a smaller glue-on patch, about the size of a two postage stamps, and glue it onto my bare shaft for even less coverage in front. My nudist club allows that. |
