I will soon be visiting Iceland and plan on going to the Blue Lagoon whilst there. Has anyone else visited it and know if swim thongs are allowed?

We visited the lagoon in December once at the start of our week then again at the end. First visit I wore a one piece Wide net Malibu Strings Kono suit ( very see through) Second visit I wore a g string bikini. I would say that the water is not clear therefore it is not noticeable what people are wearing. I did see one male thong.

I visited the Blue Lagoon last week (before it shut - eruption imminent) and wore a Haute Pression swim thong. No-one batted an eyelid and it felt great going around in a thong in public for the first time. In the water you can't see what anyone is wearing but even out the water wasn't an issue. I also wore a Desmitt thong to the Secret Lagoon and again had no issues.
