And yes Brian, that micro is a bit naughty and doesn't cover the edges of my mound at all although my lips are kept inside - I think anything smaller would just be a single string and I don't find those comfortable or even sexy. Ive got a couple in leopard and another exactly the same in sheer black to keep the tan line spot on. I could wrap a sarong around for the kiosk, maybe I'll have to find something skimpy and see-through so you can still see my thong under it - don't want to be too frumpy after all ;-) Should that just be around my waist or should I cover up if Im topless too when getting a drink at the beach bars? x

Of the many topless girls on the beach all of them have put some sort of cover up on when visiting the bars. This ranges from small triangle string bikini tops to loose fit tee-shirts. One very hot young lady that was topless on the beach and only wearing a very small black g-string caught my eye by first slipping on a matching tiny triangle top and then some VERY small, very sheer white boy shorts, her g-string just poked over the top of her shorts but those shorts were so sheer it was impossible not to notice what she had on underneath. A VERY hot look in my opinion. I'm sure your leopard print thong would look great under something like that Krissy. |

I've seen plenty of girls in the beach front shops and bars wearing tops very similar to this one; http://www.alsbikinis.com/bikinis/g-string-bikinis-r112.html with either a sarong or boy shorts on to coverup the bottom half. You wouldn't be out of place with a top like that Krissy. Regards Paul |

No idea why thong wearing is dropping off, I suspect most buy their holiday gear at home before they come, which always makes the finding of thong swimwear a lot less likely.

I agree with the comments though given the nudity is perfectly acceptable on the beach I would see little issue being in a thong. There is lots of space too on most beaches.

Last year my wife and I stayed in Fuerteventura and it was the first time we both wore thong swimwear...and both of us found it to be a very liberating and enjoyable experience. We both were thonging on the jandia beach back then, which is a great place to start for the first time as there are many nudists, some females in thongs and the occasional thonged male.This year we have just returned from two weeks in Fuerteventura staying at the Janidia Princess hotel. This place has a nudist section which we did not use, however we both thonged by the grassed area next to the nudist section(which is fenced off) for two weeks.Other than ourselves we didn't see anyone else wearing thong swimwear during our two weeks (which is a shame imo) and me in particular did receive the occasional long look or double take mainly from the English guests.I just wanted to share with everyone that in my opinion Fuerteventura is a great place to holiday and particularly thong, the beaches are not overcrowded it has a very liberal attitude...I think mostly because there are a lot of Spanish and German holiday makers there. So anyone going soon, firstly I am very jealous and secondly I am sure you will have a great time : )

Contemplating staying at a naturist hotel and get the all over tan but also considered some of the larger hotels for thonging as a few have naturist sections like you mentioned. Anyone else going to be there over the next few weeks? |

With all due respect, I don't think 'Ryan Airs' minuscule baggage allowance is going to effect you too much........ I can't think those tiny thongs you wear weigh very much! I've been toying with the idea of slingshots especially as I've been hitting the gym a lot (those suits only work for slim girls with small boobs), although for serious tanning I'll be sticking to one titchy micro to keep the same minimal tan line ;-)

Yes it is a VERY minimalistic suit but I can assure you it dose sit in place very nicely offering the bare minimum of coverage, just what you are looking for I believe? I've bought this suit for two of my previous tanning partners and both had the same reaction as you when I suggested they might like to try it, both TOTALLY changed their minds once they had tried it on. We got fantastic reactions out on the beach and by the resort pool to their suit.

It's a bit of a gamble going for short a short trip would be gutted if weather wasn't good. Found a cheap flight so just got to sort out accommodation. Then time for a wax and order some new thongs for the trip. Would be good to catch with others if anyone is around that time. |

Felt a little self conscious at first but it's clearly a very accepting place and I even felt comfortable taking a short hike over the cliffs between the various beaches and back to the car park without the need to cover up. :-)

Great weather. Unseasonably hot with some strong winds (Calima for 5 days).Anyway, got some time on Las Vistas beach every day. I wore one of these most days http://jovanadesign.com/en_GB/p/Extreme-Smallest-G-String/74 It doesn't have to be worn with so much hanging out as shown in the photos on the link but full coverage is not really possible. I find that with effort they can be worn with decency! As always I turned heads and enjoyed it. There was another male thonger on the beach during my first week. His was a string style back with a conservative pouch front. He looked good and was confident too. Good to see. The ladies were a bit of a let down. A handful of true thongs most days but lots of ladies letting their cheeky bottoms ride up giving maybe one third coverage on the rear. Ladies seem more inclined to go topless rather than wear a thong. Which I find a bit strange. |

I've seen hardly any - one tall, fit guy walking on the beach front but that's about all. It seems to be fully nude or fully covered!! I don't get it,minimal coverage is sooo much sexier. If I bump into you I'll say hi and we can hang out for a while of course, but don't take it the wrong way if I don't want to commit to meeting up. If you see a lime green car parked on the road beside the golf course (that acesses the back of the dunes), you'll know I'm about somewhere. ;-)

I went hiking, had a drink at the beach bar and walked the length of the beach in just my thong - only regret was that the pics were taken early in the hols before my tan really came along.

From my research it appears 100% acceptable, if not almost required, for girls to wear a thong......... not so much for the guys? I would love to find a beach where that would be possible....... They consider the bikinis European girls wear very unflattering and too big. As a man don't wear a thong on Ipanema or Coppa. The key is to find a quieter beach. There are a lot over there and some go for miles. Florianopolis has some quieter beaches, I'm heading there. You get the odd double take, but the girls I've met while wearing it either like a guy wearing or thong - novelty value, or don't even notice. Totally couldn't care. No guys wear thongs over there.
