No I don’t think you need to pack anything more conservative than thongs. We went at few years ago and it was mostly all nude in that area and we only put our thongs (me) g-string (wife) on when we went to the beach bar for lunch or drinks. Amongst women , thongs and cheeky bikinis are very normal . As far as men are concerned the situation is different . Very high percentage of board shorts , I would say 98 pc and very low say 2pc in speedos . I was the only guy in a thong in 7 days beach and hotel . I was very surprised at perceived move towards board shorts . I had no hassle at beach or pool . |

Had the usual nerves for the first few days but by the end of the break became really comfortable walking around in just a thong. It almost kinda feels a little disappointing that no one bats an eye lid. The sun bed areas of the beach tended to have a little structure. So some were almost all textile while a some seemed to be all nudist. A couple of sections near the lighthouse in Jandia seemed to be a mix of both, so this was the perfect spot for me. Plenty of women in thongs and one other man. The beaches are so huge that you don't feel like you're flaunting anything in anyones faces so to speak.

From what I noticed thongs and g-strings were common. There were even women laying out nude on the beach and no one cared! Cool beaches. I have noticed the same on beaches in Spain too. |

On the beaches a lot of people were naked, me either. At the hotel pool i ware my skinzwear thongs, and a g-string. No stares, some people look and then go on with reading their books. A very relexing area to do your things. It feels natural to walk around. I have also been to Morro Jable beach and Jandia beach, here the same experience. A lot of naked people and some women /girls in thongs. I was the only gay in a thong. A sublime place to go and walk the whole day in thongs, the weather is about 20 deg, not warm but ok. Next year again!! |

We stayed at the Riu Oliva Beach Resort and thoroughly loved it. Spent all the time wearing either my Olaf Benz Sunstring or my Joe Snyder Cheeky. I did see one other man in a thong but that was it. Absolutely no reactions or comments from anyone so a very good place to thong |

I thought the same that Fuerteventura was going to be more laid back than Tenerife but they were both as laid back as each other. The first time we went the mrs wasn't keen on my thongs but did like the small JS bikinis as well. she was a bit hesitant thinking I'd cause a bit of a scene wearing a thong to somewhere that's predominately filled with brits. But it was actually totally fine. A fair few initial surprised reactions but people soon gave me no more attention than if i was in a bigger bikini. Especially given the amount of thong clad women around the pool it wasn't exactly ground breaking for someone to be in a thong swimsuit. The locals never even batted an eye when i stripped out of a JS bikini to the thong underneath at the beach either. |

Capri Snyder navy worn in sauna steam pool etc … I’d encourage anyone to just do it in their one off venues

It's nice to finally see someone else say on this forum that they purchased thongs from www.the-bikini.com. I would love to see someone wear the MiniMicro Crochet Bikini, as well as the Tear Drop Bikini Set. I have never seen a woman wear something this small in my travels.
I own several pair of the men's tear drop g-string, in both solid and mesh fabrics. They are the smallest swimsuits I have ever worn and I have worn them exclusively on all beaches in Volusia County, FL. Before wearing these at the beach, I always get a FULL body wax. My last visit was for two weeks in 2020 and it got the best tan ever. I am making it a goal to do the same again in the near future.

Every mornings I go for a nude dawn swim and wear my thong down there until I reach the first bit of sand then go full nude. After the swim I walk the beach full naked for about 15 minutes until I dry off

I always tan and swim topless on holiday therefore only wore the bottom of each set. I never have tanned nude, always preferring to leave something to the imagination. These g strings were indeed very , very small. I so much enjoy swimming then climbing out of the pool and stretching out on a sunbed legs apart to tan my buns knowing I am being watched. Not many men wearing thongs in Lanzarote....last time we were in Florida I did have an interesting conversation on my paddleboard with a guy wearing also on a paddleboard. He was wearing a small pouch and subsequently fell into the water and climbed back onto his board to reveal his completely sheer wet pouch. A lovely afternoon indeed. |

That nude runner in the first video looked great with his thong tanline. I've watched many of these Gran Canaria beach walk videos and I never see any guys in thongs - although I'm sure they do exist? I can't believe that I'd be the only one. Seeing what seems like a huge number of women in thongs these days, I don't see why guys can't enjoy wearing them as well.
Re: the second video - I would love to do exactly that and just walk nude from beach to beach. It would be a little odd being the only nude person among all the clothed ones, but I'd love the freedom of being nude on just about any beach.
Going to Gran Canaria is now on my bucket travel list. I'd either wear thongs or go nude. |

No issues at all, no one minded. Done 22k hike from Puerto del Carmen to Papagayo beach, met couple of people (mainly older tourists) along the way and then camped on famous nudist beach next to the Papagayo beach, then hiked to Playa Blanca only to put shorts when near the hotels in the city. It was amazing experience, went to every beach along the way for a swim, no one minded my thongs. Hoping to get back there soon for more thonging. |

I never have enjoyed being nude on the beach always preferable to wear something tiny to tease. Prior to going I bought a set of 4 zipper extreme g string bottoms from bikini.com. Tops were not required as I always swim and tan top less. These suits are absolutely tiny with a full length zip. My dress maker adjusted the suits by adding a release clip at either side of the waist band. I had a Hollywood waxing prior my holiday. I simply love swimming in this suit . Just as I come out of the sea with the water at waste depth I enjoy easing the zip down allowing the top of my lips to peep out. Stretching out on the sun lounger with my legs apart I can unclip the side straps allowing for tanning. When I turn over on to my front I fully lower the zip as I lie with my feet over the sides of the lounger.......my husband tells me the view is spectacular.... |

You are the only other person on this forum, that I know of, who has purchased g-strings from the-bikini.com. I have several of the men's tear drop g-strings, in both solid colors and the mesh material, and I love them. I have worn the solid colors at wave pools in Pittsburgh and at all the beaches in Volusia County, FL (Daytona Beach). Some day I hope to wear the mesh fabric suits at South Beach. These are definitely head turning suits, do not leave much to the imagination, and are not for the timid. |

I would try the men's zipper string, but I feel there is WAY too much material in the front. Because I like the minimal coverage of the men's tear drop g-string, if they had a style where the zipper was added to it, I think I would consider buying it. I wouldn't dare take my men's tear drop g-strings to a seamstress and ask her to add a zipper. It would be way too embarrassing.

I’m totally with you on this one, ‘the-bikini’ men’s zipper string looks to have WAY to much material up front for my liking too. Your idea of putting a zip into one of their ‘Men’s Tear Drop Thongs’ sounds good though, I’ve got a couple of those suits so might just approach my seamstress with the idea….

Given the choice I’d say go with the single string bikini or even better, if you’re brave enough, a single string slingshot. Without any question of a doubt the slingshot closely followed by the bikini has got to be the sexiest suit a girl can ever wear |

I stayed at an adults only hotel there and am pleased to report that I was able to wear a gstring at the pool and on the sundeck with no issues at all. Many women in thongs and topless but no guys in a suit as small as mine. Going back to the same place again.
If anyone else is going to be in Gran Canaria from the middle of next week let me know, maybe we can hit one of the beaches together. |
