I am currently at Tenerife but I am leaving today. I was at siam park today with my wife and my 3 kids. I am proud to claim that I was the first man of the new year 2022 to wear a thong at siam park. My wife and me were both with thongs swimwear. No challenge for my wife because 50% of girls wear thong. I was the only man with a thong but no issue. Be careful because you will slide very fast at the "tower power" with a thong. My kids told me that i finished further than others. Thong + weight (as a man) = highspeed

@raglingloco To go to canary, you need a health pass (vaccinated or recovered or PCR test) and you have to fill a form 48h before the travel. They checked the fill when you arrive at the airport. You have to wear the mask everywhere except on the beaches and on the mountain. Otherwise, I confirm that Canary islands are the best place to wear a thong swimwear. I estimate that about 80% of canary girls over 15 y.o. wear thongs at the beach (to tan or to play beach volley, etc.), and about 50% of european girls over 15 y.o. (trippers). You can see all shapes (skinny or big asses with cellulite). You can see all thong types (cheeky, conservative thong and G-string). Curiously, it was mostly solid black fabrics, and sometimes solid red. No fun colors. For women, wearing a thong swimsuit is quite simply the norm. However, very few topless, generally more mature women (over 30 y.o.). At the water park, about 50% of girls between 15 and 30 wear thong swimsuits. When you wait in a queue, there is a high probability you will have a thong just in front of your eyes. SIAM PARK is expensive but worth it. Slides are fabulous. My kids were very happy to do it. I wore a thong at siam park. First I was a little nervous, because of the stories told on this forum where women are allowed to wear thongs at waterparks but men must wear boardshort. At canary Islands, thongs are OK for both men and women. I did not perceive double look from the staff (I think they are totally insensible because they see tens of thongs every day). I perceived a few double looks from the others tourists, which is logical because they are not used to see a male thong wearer. But, people didn't care. I remember a belgium a belgium woman with her kid. She was just behing us in the queue. She took a second look when she understood I was wearing a thong. She was even more surprised when she understood that the thonger was french. But, a few minutes later, she was happy to ride in our 4-seater buoy with us. It is compulsory to be 4 persons in the 4 seater buoy. You can't be 2 or 3. So, as we were 5 (my wife and my 3 kids, we were obliged to share buoy with others). My last ride was with a group of 3 adults (1 girl and 2 men), all beafy. They needed 1 person to complete the buoy. As they were very beafy, I was reluctant that my wife or my kids go with them. And so, I went with them... It was difficult to speak english with them... until I discovered they were french like me... No issue for them to share their buoy with a male thonger. They even asked me to do a second ride with them, but I had to go because it was time to go to the airport. So, you will understand that this waterpark experience with a thong swimsuit is unforgettable. The fact that I could thong as freely as women empowered my confidence. If you live in Europe, I recommend you to go to canary islands for 1 week during winter. It will help you to take a new step. Last thing. I was very surprised to see how many girls wear leggings. Next time, I will bring some leggings for trekking.

I wore a conservative black thong at siam park. I don't like G-string and I think a G-string is too extrem for the waterpark and a G-string does not offer enough support for water slides. You can see the thong swimwear in my profile : my album > My differents swimwears > cheekiest It is the photo named "cheekiest". I chose this one because I noticed that women wore mostly solid black thongs. So, as I wanted to be in the norm, and as the norm was "solid black thong", I wore a solid black thong. Proud to say I was in the norm (if you don't consider the gender...). My wife took a photo when we were at the wave pool. I hope to put it in my album in a few days. I was at Siam park! Unfortunately I was the only male thonger. I used a “clothestopose” thong which has a bit more fabric. I used black color which seems like most use. First I started with a more Brazilian type, but when I observed this women in a tiny black thong I changed my mind. Only see 4 men with regular speedos and I would guess the ratio for women with thong or equivalent was about 30%. Anyways no comments and very good place to wear. Same at the hotel pool. I wear every day without any concerns

@Strintheory, Were you alone at the waterpark or with friends or family ? Did you share a buoy with other people ? As a man, you were able to thong freely in one of the best waterparks in the world, amid a lot of thongs 's gal, without any issue. Enjoy !

  You couldn't expect to see other men with thongs. You were at least the 2nd man with a thong at the waterpark for 2022 (I can claim I was the first in 2022, because I thonged here the 1st january). Canary Islands are definitively one of the best places for men to wear a thong without any issue. Moreover, Canary islands : - are not very far from Europe, - are part of Europe (Spain), - are relatively cheap, - are sunny during winter Definitively, the place to thong during winter in Europe. @napoleaon44, I went to Gran Canaria 4 years ago, in december (christmas). I didn't like Maspalomas because the beach was too windy and as it was december, a little too cold for me. If you go to Gran Canaria during winter, I recommand you to go to "Playa de Amadores". Very beautiful beach, protected from the wind and from waves.

@napoleon44 I agree to what stringueur wrote. January and February can be a little to cold and windy there. But thongs are no problem. There are some hotels with roof top sun terrace: Bulls, Caserio, Europalace, Marieta. Bulls and Caseria even have a nude area. Thats the alternative when it's too windy at the beach.

@stringueur I went alone. When I took the tubes, the staff just merged with other. They seemed not to bother for me joining and was far more concerned about the ride than me wearing thong. It is surely a great place to be

Thanks @stringeur and @Stringtheory ,re the beach at Amadores . It looks nice and sheltered . The beach looks quite small however and I wondered how intimate it is . Wearing small bikinis or thongs ,as a guy , I usually like a bit of space to set up in . Or should I not worry . Also how thong tolerant would you say the hotel or clientele would be round there . In fuertaventura I was happy to thong on the beach and wear small bikini at hotel pool . I wore a thong once or twice in the empty hotel pool , first thing or last thing .

Playa El Veril and the next bay going towards Playa del ingles are my favourite beaches been there many times never wear more than a g-string and usually swim nude.

We went in the first week of february to Maspalomas, the weather was great over 24 deg. I have been every day with or naked to the beach, no issue at all. Most of the time I wore my Skinzwear m55 g-string to get nice tan lines. I walked also naked on the beach, from dunes of Playa d'Ingles to Maspalomas (7km walk) , lot of people on the beach , but i felt completely comfortble. It is a paradise for thongers en nude sunbathing. At my resort, parque Romantica(Playa d'Ingles) , i was sunbathing in a thong, here the people (most 65+) look a several times. After a while it was quite normal for me and for them. I wore muscleskins bulge thong and Manstore beachthong in white!! Next year we wil go again during teh wintertime.

Those beach walk videos on YouTube show people having a great time. One video showed women nude sunbathing on a beach. Is that a European thing where they can layout nude but get dressed to walk around? Germans are known to do that.

In Playa Del Ingles, I agree that it's ok to walk around the beach areas in a thong.

I walk the beach nude, then put a thong on nearing the town (and more family areas of the beach) and walk back to my hotel near the Yumbo centre.

A few double-takes, a couple of good reactions, nothing bad... except In the Cita centre, I went in a sex shop (toys & clothes), and the woman said my thong wasn't acceptable!

I have to agree with others on here, there is no issue with wearing a thong anywhere on the beach here! The cruise my wife and I are on just stopped in Gran Canaria yesterday. We took an excursion to Masopalomas Beach and spent the day hanging out in the area where it is primarily nude. There had to have been a thousand or more people with nothing on and we had a great time! For the walk back to catch the bus I put on a g-string and then walked the beach past thousands of people, thru the shops and to the bus stop....it seemed perfectly normal. No stupid comments, no sneers, nothing. If the beaches there were white sand, like home on the west coast of Florida, I could spend a lot more time there.

Black sand is disconcerting first times. This sand is not dirty : it is the volcanic stone color. But this black sand, in Canary Islands, is very smooth. You quicly get used to this black color.

There was! At the gay beach, there was about 5-6 around at any given time! :)
