Date Posted:10/12/2004 07:13:25Copy HTML We have some younger thongers on this board. Since there is no rational reason to keep them off the board they are welcome. They are the next generation. But...the younger thongers, and the rest of us need to be aware of some issues. There have been cases of police posing as young people on message boards. At all times, when communicating with a person under 18, ALLWAYS assume they are a police officer. Providing advice is a good and friendly way to help young people. BUT don't, no mater what the excuse, email directly to, or arrange to meet any person who is under age. Only use the PM to send a private message and don't agree to meet them for any reason. Don't fall for the old, "I can't get any thongs, can you bring me some?" entrapment system. It does not matter if they want to hang out and sun, or just need help purchasing thongs. Do not agree to meet any one under age, nomatter what the circumstances. If they need help purchasing a thong then refer them to the thread called "If you are yong and want to purchase a thong." |

Re:Communicating with thongers that are under 18 Date Posted:29/01/2009 11:53:52Copy HTML If you don't believe the government is paying police officers to cruse the net, posing as teenagers, in an attempt to entrap adults, then you have not been reading the news. They can be very convincing. Even the Police Chief, for the Virginia Commonwealth University, a man who you would have thought was both in tune with the younger generation and with the police efforts to entrap people got stung this week. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Virginia Commonwealth University Police Chief Willie B. Fuller has been arrested in an online sting operation in Chesterfield County and charged with soliciting sex from a 14-year-old girl, police said today. Police said Fuller, 50, was arrested last night at his home in the 9000 block of Meadowfield Court in Henrico County. He was charged with two counts of using a computer to solicit sex from a minor and two counts of attempted indecent liberties with a minor. His arrest resulted from a sting operation that involved undercover detectives going to online chatrooms or other Internet sites popular with juveniles. The detectives then create fictitious posts and pose as minors. Although police declined to provide more specific information in this case, meetings are usually arranged between the detectives and the people with whom they communicate. Chesterfield Police Maj. Dan Kelly said Fuller clearly believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old girl. "I’m not sure which [Internet] medium the detective was using at the time it occurred," Kelly said. "But it was part of our ongoing online efforts in these areas. When time permits, our detectives trained in this area will utilize their time and go online." ____________________________________________________________________________________________ If the police chief can't spot a sting then you can't either. So only communicate in the public way, by posting replies to the teens questions. DO not use the PM, or email them privately. NEVER agree to meet anyone who is under age, even if they live near by and just want your help to buy a thong. Taking a thong to a meeting with an under age person looks very incriminating to people who associate thongs with sex.
We have had past incidents on this board where teen thongers turned out to be cops. When we called their bluff they vanished. Don't get suckered in. They are really out to entrap people. |

Re:Communicating with thongers that are under 18 Date Posted:27/02/2009 09:57:00Copy HTML They're not TOO hard to spot, but really, anyone with 'misguided intentions' doesn't seem to last that long here anyway. It isn't that difficult to see who is not participating in the true spirit of this board, and most regulars seem to pick up on it pretty quick. If you're not here for the right reasons, and not getting what you want, you'll dissappear soon enough!

Re:Communicating with thongers that are under 18 Date Posted:25/09/2009 03:06:57Copy HTML This is unbelievable BS, but I am sure JM is correct; it is all true. The entire idea of prosecuting someone for an alledged "crime" when no "victim" even exists is counter to everything in our constitution and clearly a violation of rights. But I have read similar stories in the newspaper, so it does happen. And I sure wouldn't want to bet that I could tell who was for real and who wasn't, so JM's advise is well taken.

Re:Communicating with thongers that are under 18 Date Posted:25/09/2009 10:31:29Copy HTML We have not had many obvious ones on this board, possibly because we do not have a chat room.
Then again, I only notice the cops who blow their cover. Sometimes they do stupid things like use an obvious email name, Constiblecrikincop was one. I have even had one order me to let him in the chat room and he did not seem to understand that we don't have one turned on. But for the most part the cops are very stealthy. We must expect to be a target of cops trying to setup a sting. We already know that quite a number of our members are cops becuase they have told us, there is even a thread from one cop asking if the other cops on the board are thongers. (Recursive, I know) You must always assume your communication is intercepted and read by cops. Do not PM individuals who are under age. Keep it all legit, open and on the record. |
