When i read the differents experiences, i can see that some prefers to be on a deserted beach, with very few people, than others prefers to be in a crowded beach.

What do you prefers and why ?

During the summer (july and august), i prefer to go to a crowded beach. It is very against intuitive, but i noticed that you are unnoticed in a crowded beach. Indeed, you are totally lost in the crowd and, there is very few people who notice you. On the contrary, when you go to an average crowded beach, everyone can look at everyone, and you are sure that all the others beachers have seen you. That is the reason why, i prefer to go to a crowded beach during summer. During spring and september, it is different. There is no crowded beach because it is not the high season. So you can only choose between an average crowded beach and a deserted beach. In this case, i prefer to go to a deserted beach, for the same reasons. Moreover, sometimes crowded beach are the best beaches (thaht is may be the reason why there is a lot of people) when deserted beach are not interesting for different reason. So, i tell myself that the fact i wear a thong must not stop me to enjoy a goog beach with my family, even if there is a lot of people. So, my choice is more on the beach itself, than the human density.

I generally prefer a crowded beach - especially in Europe - but my OH will want us to move down to a clearer section as she knows I will end up naked. But saying that, she does enjoy Italian beaches where it is busy with locals - there is usually a great sense of fun that is infectious - you end up enjoying it just because they are. We have been to deserted beaches quite often, but do sometimes think it a bit surreal. I also think that on a crowded beach, as long as there are no large groups of (generally) males, then there is the thing that people just let you get on with what you are wearing. On a quieter beach it may be that you get more disapproving looks. Most people are sheep and don't want to rock the boat and also most people just want to enjoy their day and are not too bothered about other people. Guess the final point is that in southern Europe, for the most part, people expect to come across nudity and skimpy swimwear, even if they are more covered.

I love a deserted beach. I love the peacefulness. A deserted beach is more difficult to find, but when you do, you feel like you can do anything. I have driven all the way to the outer banks (a long drive for me in one day) just for 45 minutes on okracoke without another soul in sight. It's serene. Now I do like a crowded beach if it's a nude beach like Gunnison or Cape D'Agde, or a fun beach like South Beach. Most beaches are simply milquetoast.

I like the quiet beaches. I was born in Holland, close to beaches. I used to be a lot at the beach and made long beach walks. I don't like to plough through a lot of people so give me a quiet beach. My favorite still are the wide beaches of the north of France, from the Belgian border to the mouth of the river Somme.

While I love a deserted, quiet beach to read, relax and enjoy nature, crowded beaches are easier to blend in more. And checking out some of the other g-strings and bods is fun too!! Just being honest!

When a teenager and in my early 20's I would look for deserted beaches.  They were good places to makeout with a girlfriend or go nude without worry. As I got older and more self confident, and started to get compliments on my thongs, I was less concerned about finding deserted beaches except for when making-out.

When going alone I prefer there to be interesting women to meet.  I prefer not to be in the middle of a redneck crowd watching the airshow or fireworks display, but other than that having people around makes the beach more interesting and fun.

I get enough sun, gardening, working around the yard, etc. So don't need to lay out to get a tan.  I almost never lay out on the beach, except when accompanying a friend who wants to just lay on a towel, or for a beach picnic. Instead I like to run, or walk, or pickup trash, or just wander around talking to people.

So for me, conversations with people make a beach day more interesting. Often they offer me a drink or invite me to come sit with them a while. I like people, especially people who don't care, or like that I wear a thong or g-string on the public beach.

It really depends on the crowd. One time I was at a deserted beach but there was a group of teenagers on the beach. These kids were like gnats and they wouldn't leave. They had the whole beach to themselves but they just had to play catch in front of me. Unbelievable But then, there was this one time when the beach was really crowded, but I felt comfortable because there were a lot of singles on the beach. I could take long walks along the beach and no one batted an eyelid.

I like to show my body off, so going to a crowded beach is my favorite. Why would I go topfree and wear swimsuits that cover less than a package of cigarettes if I didn't want people to look?

I prefer crowded beaches now. I like to be seen wearing my thong swimsuits and it is more interesting to see other people and their activities. When I was newer to thonging a deserted beach was definitely preferred. But now I have the courage and more of the desire to be on crowded beaches.

If it's an open minded beach with plenty of other thongers, crowded. However, if I'm surrounded by prudes, I'd rather it be secluded.

Two days ago, March 25, 2019, I visited Barton Springs public swimming pool. Nice warm and sunny afternoon. Few visitors swimming or laying out on the lush grassy slopes that surround the 30m by 200m pool.  I'm indifferent to crowded or deserted beaches. Local city ordinances allow topless bathing as well as wearing thongs and G-strings for both women and men. The facilities (change rooms, restrooms, showers) are a greater attraction than desolate thong tolerate locations. No annoying gnats, insects, alcoholics, music that disturbs other visitors, idiots, or perverts are found at Barton Springs pools. Routine Lifeguard foot patrols as well as Austin City Police and city park rangers discourage niferious behaviors and like activities. No sand, no pets, no litter, no loud ugly music. Fresh spring water swimming, friendly polite pool staff (with absolutely no attitude) makes this park/pool superior to La Jolla Cove, Bondi, Hippie Hollow, or the Moscow river summer swim season. Today, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 Barton Springs pool. Nice warm and sunny, though slightly breezy. I kicked it up a few notches and wore an extremely tiny ultra-extreme string thong, metallic royal blue, a suit I had never worn in public before. Most of the afternoon was spent laying on a large beach towel reading. As usual I didn't bother asking for permission to wear what best expresses my bold personality. About mid-afternoon I walked down the grassy south slope of pool where I entered the water and took a long swim. After the swim I returned to my towel I read a while longer I stood up and walked around the pool, 1/2 a mile distance. I'm sure hundreds of people observed my trek to and from the restroom. Towards late afternoon I walked the long distance around the pool in view of hundreds of pairs of eyes. Though there were a few other men who wore Speedos and thongs, it seems I was the only person (male or female) to journey about the large park in a very daring string thong. Never a rude comment but there were more than a few wispers from other visitors. It's all good. I was there to enjoy the day without regard to other's likes or dislikes. My future visits will feature other various colored Xtreme thongs and G-strings all for my days in the sun and public. FIN

Crowded beaches for sure, I love wearing my teardrop g strings at the beaches around my home. Thongs are perfectly legal in Canada I've never had any acceptance issues with others at the beach so I figure why not. Plus it's a great feeling being almost naked around all those people.

Toronto, quite a few women in thongs even the odd g string at the beaches around here. Usually you'll only see other men at Hanlans but I wear mine everywhere, even when out walking on the waterfront bike trails and parks. I have a few pics on my Instagram tiny.tanlines

RE -- Thongs in Canada.  Most of Canada is accepting or tolerant to thong wearers, but there still are places where thongs are not permitted.  This includes a few public places (like the Parks Canada Hot Springs) and many more private establishments.  Last summer, however, thong acceptance in general was a lot better than it has been for years.  Many places have dropped their anti-thong rules or enforcement.  Randy and I have both thonged at places in Canada that are supposed to prohibit thongs.  I believe that in Canada, any women can go topfree in public.  This is based on recent laws or court challenges.   Canada is also a lot more liberal about sexual preferences expressed by the LGBT communities, as well as other social issues like the use of pot.  All provinces now must offer both medical and recreational cannabis, although they can have their own rules and enforcement actions, and generally, pot can not be imported from other provinces or countries. I do not think it will be too long before Canada takes on another human-rights stand and permits anyone to wear thongs -- even at private establishments like the way women can not be discriminated against because they choose to take off their tops.  Who knows, maybe they will even accept public nudity soon after.

Mostly I prefer a beach full of people. I like to see people on the beach with me. I like to have people see that wearing a thong is no big thing, not a sexual thing and a great way to get a nice tan. At the same time I like to watch and see what others wear and do at the beach.

Earlier I wrote I preferred the quiet beaches because of my beach walking. When on vacation, I like to show off at the more crowded spots after I had done some beach walking. I even might take away a barrier for a guy and have him started on thongs. Even on the relaxed beaches of Europe, thongs on men are quite rare.

Deserted beaches for me for sure, I like the peacefulness of hearing the waves crashing without hearing the constant droning of people talking. I really don't enjoy beaches with a lot of people, kind of makes me anxious and turns me away. (nothing to do with what I'm wearing also)

When I go to the beach, I tend to value relaxation and peacefulness more than anything else. My gf as well. This has remained a constant throughout my (our) life, regardless of my (our) preference for thong swimwear. But I must admit that I do also enjoy the fact of being seen. So, we tend to go to the less populated spots of "normal" beaches. We avoid the big crowds without trying to hide. I am intrigued by the possibility of thonging right in the middle of a crowded beach though. Something I'll guess I'll try in vacation, when I'll be able to go.

My ultimate goal is to go out and wear my thongs. So to do that I trying to find and put myself in places where I can do that. Sometimes that is in a more secluded place, backyard, beach, or empty swimming pool at a hotel that I am staying at. Other times it’s at a more crowded and busy situation in a small swimming area at a state park, pool, or beach. I kind of prep my mind for the situation and try to enjoy it either way. I started my public thong wearing on a four-day trip to the Panama City area several years ago after finding this Thongboard and more information about where people do it, and I haven’t looked back since. So this site and group of people are a great resource and inspiration. That hurdle and wearing of thongs was definitely an out in the open situation with many people around and I pushed myself to take advantage of the situation and also walk the beaches to be seen. I was nervous but very excited. Therefore I’ve proven to myself that in most situations there isn’t going to be any objections to me wearing my thong as long as it legal and as long as I am comfortable with the it I’m going to wear my swim suit of choice. What a confidence booster in life. Even if I’m at a secluded place or more crowded beach I don’t sit down and stay in my place all the time. I will definitely get up for a walk or go into the water and just be normal just like anybody else. Because that’s who we are, we just wear different types of swimwear. I do like being seen and won’t deny that. So there is an element of wanting to be seen as well as making a statement that thong wearing is legal and just another normal swimwear choice. Maybe it’s a little bit reality delusional on that last point in other people’s mind.

CKWonderer - You said "I was nervous but very excited" about your first public thonging, and proved to yourself "that in most situations there isn’t going to be any objections to me wearing a thong as long as it legal and as long as I am comfortable with the it." That's the secret, wear something that is legal, and wear it with confidence. You also said "this site and group of people are a great resource and inspiration." - Exactly why this group exists, to help people know where thongs are legal (most places), and if you wear them with confidence and if you "get up for a walk or go into the water and just be normal just like anybody else" people will treat you just like anyone else. As you say, once you push yourself and get "over the hurdle" of wearing thongs out in the open, in public, it can be real "a confidence booster in life". Glad to hear you push yourself "to take advantage of the situation" and enjoy walking the beaches "to be seen". This helps encourage other men too follow suit, so to speak. Good Job.

I used to pick out more secluded beaches. Now I try to go to crowded beaches. My confidence has grown. The more crowded the beach, the greater the mix of people there, and more tolerance for the wide range of ages, activities, cultures, and of course swimwear. It seems beaches are used by many more kinds of people nowadays. No matter where I am, people will sit near me regardless of my swimwear. Plus, crowded beaches feel safer since they often have lifeguards and patrols. No creepy guys. And there are more nearby amenities. Secluded beaches are good if they are part of a nature preserve with hiking trails. Troublemakers don't travel far.

It’s changed over the years. I used to definitely seek out more deserted or quieter areas when I first started thonging, or even wearing briefs for that matter as a teenager. I had to do it away from friends and peers as it was not cool. All the while, I did have the desire to be seen at the same time. I guess I was chasing acceptance. Nowadays I go to a beach based on whether I want piece and quiet, or want to be in a crowd. Both have their own appeal for different reasons, but I nearly always wear a thong. I rarely wear a brief anymore, only when I really think a thong isn’t appropriate. I like my solitude sometimes, but I also love watching a crowd (think Bondi crowd among dozens of thonged women) and I also love pushing the envelope and showing thongs are a legitimate swimwear choice. Life’s short, enjoy it.

Last week-end, we had a heat wave in France. Sunday morning, I did rock climbing with my children, my wife and my mother in law (she didn't climb herself) and we went to a beach on a lake on the afternoon. The beach is very wide and deep and without shadow on 100 meters. Behind, there is grass, trees and shadow. As we want to avoid sunburn, we decided to install us under the trees. The beach was very crowded with the heat wave. People on the beach on the sun, and people under the trees. As usual, I wore a conservative and regular swim thong : black, lined, drawstring. No issue while I stayed under the trees with my kids, my wife and my mother in law. My little daughter asked me to play in the water with her. Well, it was a big challenge to go to the water because I had to walk about 150 - 200 meters to reach the lake, I had to pass between people, sometimes very closed to them. Moreover the beach was very cosmopolitan. There was muslim people (some women wore burkini and were fully dressed). But there was also a lot of thong women and G-string (no topless). The 2 extremes ! So, I went to the water. During the afternoon, I went 3 times to the water. No issue. I didn't notice double looks. People didn't care. It seemed that I was only a bare buns among dozens of other bare buns. No difference between a male thonger and a female thonger.

Crowded beach often i go unnoticed. That goes with many others who like to flaunt it. Moderate crowd weekday on the beach more likely to be seen and recognized. Had this happen on Saturday afternoon bodies were piled on top of one another. No sand could be seen from all the umbrellas, blankets, towels and bodies. Walking along the shoreline was only way to move around. Walked passed many groups of gals. They were preoccupied without caring to look such busy crowded beach. On another occasion Friday afternoon same group of gals stopped mouth open in shock observing me walk along the waters edge. This was on sparsely populated beach much easier for someone to stand up and be seen from a long distance. On Deserted beach is not something i would do. Might as well stay home in backyard. Crowded beach maybe frustrating when wrong people settle nearby smoker, dog owner, sour odour. When people start to trample on my towel or walk too close kicking up sand with their feet. Yesterday on crowded beach seen couple lay their bags on two gals blanket towel when they were in the water. The couple waited  thinking to myself are they friends. When two gals came out of the water asked strangers to remove their bags WTF reaction. The couple complied but setup in front of them giving no space as though they were friends. Gals moved away and eventually left. The problem with crowded beach if you leave your towel laid out too long people have tendency to move into your space.

We still prefer more deserted beaches. It's just a lot more relaxing not having to deal with people all around. We live in a very populated state (NJ). It's difficult to find spots where you can spread out. In addition, my wife likes to tan topless on our favorite beach that is a little more deserted. No way she would be able to get away with that on a crowded beach. It used to be that we went to the deserted beaches so she could thong, now it doesn't matter so much. We only hit crowded beaches if there is a reason. Meeting friends there, some sort of attraction like a concert or event, etc. Either way, she's wearing a thong. Regarding what Sailor posted. That was a straight-up attention grab from the girl who posted the video. Maybe the guy was taking in the view? Maybe he just wanted to setup there? I don't see him doing anything wrong. There was plenty of distance based on how long it took her to get to him at a sprint. On a crowded beach, my wife has literally had a gentlemen setup within 2-3' of her feet. He then turned around to face her, sitting on a cooler, and cracked a beer waiting for her to flip over to her stomach (she was wearing a g-string). I was going to say something but my wife suggested we just leave, which we did. This is why we prefer our little quiet piece of sand we won't tell anyone about, close to home. We've had the strangest people setup near us on deserted beaches, though. They never setup close, but it's interesting. We had one early morning where my wife was tanning topless. Topless as in she was lying on her back, with the "twins" pointed skyward. I normally would let her know if someone setup nearby or a lifeguard was walking up. I dozed off and when I woke up, a family with kids was setup 30-40' away. Wife and I thought maybe they were European? Didn't notice? Needless to say, my wife put her top on.

To start, I prefer a very very hot and clear sunny day. This brings out the "serious" beach goers and sunbathers, and those that aren't don't stay for long. I prefer a beach that's quite crowded, such that the furthest people set up their blanket is only a few feet away from me, like 5 or 6 feet maximum. For one thing, it's much easier to blend in with a sea of people and not stand out that you're wearing minimal swimwear. For another, new arrivals see that people are set up right next to you so, perhaps they figure if it's ok with people right next to me, then it's ok with them too.

To answer the question- where can I find a quiet beach in S. Fla. The answer is not during Oct-April tourist season! Some stretches with 500+ people per mile in Feb. might have 30 per mile in July! For Miami Beach- North Beach park 79th-86th St, some stretches from 34th -44th St.--- not 5-15th St- not Sunny Isles Beach For Ft Lauderdale- north- from Bonnet house to LBS For Palm Beach county- parts of north Boca Raton, parts of northern Delray (other towns are not crowded but have oceanfront houses in large numbers)

For me, wearing a thong or preferrably.a g-string is mainly for my own pleasure but also for being seen. As I have never ever had any negative comments from others visiting the beach I quite like visiting crowded beaches. As stated above, having people sitting right next to you makes your wearing almost nothing accepted.

I don't like people in general so when going to the beach I seek out the deserted parts unless there are some pretty women in thongs. I hate a crowded beach and lots of people near me. It makes it hard to relax and I cant help but think they are judging me in my thong.

I don’t like deserted and crowded beaches. A few km’s from my home there is a unofficial nude beach. All types of suits from bathing suits to no-suit can be found over there. It’s a ‘live and let live’ beach. No one cares what you wear. A perfect thonging beach.

What I prefer does not depend on the number of beachgoers. It have people who are tolerant, respect full, and having at least a few fellow thongers.
