For once, I went swimming on Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. There weren't many people there at that time—mostly retirees. No swim teams. I wore my conservative black swim thong as usual. Every time I put on my thong, I always feel a little nervous because I know I'm stepping outside the male norm, and I'm very aware that my butt is exposed. But as soon as I jump in the water and I start swimming, I’m so focused on my stroke that I completely forget I’m wearing a thong. As soon as I start training, I feel just as comfortable as if I were wearing regular swim brief (which is the norm here in France). Unfortunately, as winter approaches, there are fewer and fewer women wearing thongs. Two pieces (bikinis) are fewer and there are more one piece, even if some one piece are very skimpy and almost OPT. My swimming sessions in a thong are helping to normalize men's swim thongs. Regulars at the pool, as well as the lifeguards, are used to seeing me and don't pay any attention to it anymore. Virtuous circle : - The more often I wear my thong, the more normal it becomes - The more normal it is, the easier it is - The easier it is, the more often I wear my thong It is like bicycle : the more difficult is to start without falling down. Once you get started, don't stop.

Sometimes I feel like I'm just rambling on about this topic. I hope that sharing my experiences—which are, after all, quite ordinary—will help some people take the plunge. Last year, I used to go swimming on Tuesday evenings. But it was too crowded in september, so I stopped. So this week, I went swimming on Tuesday between during the lunch break. The sun isn't dangerous anymore this time of year. A lot of swimmers. Only swimmers. All adults. About 6 people per lane. I wore my conservative black swim thong. I did my workout without any problems. Since I changed my schedule, I've met some new people. As a result, I've noticed a few people taking a double look at me, but that's about it. I saw a young woman wearing a thong. She swam for just a short while, sat in a lounge chair for 10 minutes, and then left. Most of all, I saw a woman—clearly a regular—around 60/65 years old, swimming in a thong. She exuded great self-confidence. She was with a whole group of regulars. I think I'll keep working out on Tuesday at noon this winter. Actually, I swim four times a week: - Twice on my own, during public hours. I wear my thong swimsuit for those two sessions. - Twice with my triathlon club. I don’t wear a thong anymore for those sessions since the managers asked me to stop 2 years ago. But I’ve managed to find cheeky briefs that are NOT thongs but skimpier than a classic brief. I’m pushing the limits a bit. I hope my stories—which are true—will help some people feel confident enough to wear a thong swimsuit at the public pool.

stringueur: What reasons the triathlon training manager gave that thong was forbidden? Tanga you’re wearing in album is very close to a thong. Many conservatives might find that swimsuit very revealing. Unless they witnessed seen you wear a thong. My question why you sold out complying to managers whims and ideology of  more coverage swim attire. Doubt anyone wants to hear my terrible story at the pool. Being told by two associates that i have to wear more coverage. After pressing them why, what the problem really is. Since i been wearing thongs for many years without problem at the same spa pool. Male associate finally mentioned complaints that “bulge” prominent  styled swimwear made others uncomfortable. Assume none wants to mention or emphasize about me being well endowed. Therefore distracting and many members feel uncomfortable. My assumption they wrongly believe i’m fully or partially aroused in the thong. So management not wanting to discriminate or label male who has above average bulge size. Manager called me week or two later discovering i’m no longer visiting the spa. To clarify that i’m not banned but need to comply wearing brief speedo style swimwear is permitted. Decided to hold my ground and not comply. Therefore not visiting the spa pool any longer out of principle. None dictates what i can or cannot wear. If they are offended, awkward, uncomfortable so be it. Never going to comply to ridiculous unfair comments. This all came to head following day when i wore one of more bulge enhancing white blue pattern thongs. Meanwhile father weekly bringing his 10 year old daughter to the tiny 3 lane spa pool. Club membership is 18 years and older. Somehow allowance was made for the young daughter at the pool to splash around, not swimming laps as her father did taking up valuable space in the small pool for paid adult members.

Recently observed single gal being her little bishon dog carried in a tote bag in the gym. You never know the dog is there, silent, sitting with its head up watching unknown strangers faces.  Where is permitted to bring pets to a gym?   Yet one gal gets away with it since none notices or complains. Unless it becomes common practice therefore management  needs to reject her entery to the gym with said dog. So to with male thonger. See odd time thonger or two no repercussions. See thonger everyday then it becomes tiresome or bother people wrong way. 

Doubt wearing a speedo would help with making others more comfortable at the spa pool. Own AQuX briefs with various sheer netting back seam that can show lot more and be visually shocking then any thong i wore to the spa. Never stops the amount of censorship people put on thongers. Wear a brief swimsuit not enough coverage wearing too little one complaint from mom at the spa. Wear jammers too revealing can see my bulge. Wear dork shorts material clings to skin contouring the penis shaft outline makes people uncomfortable. On and on it goes never satisfy the complaints or accusations people make because they assume something that is untrue.

@mack_back, Almost 2 years ago, the triathlon manager wrote me an E-mail and asked me to change my swimwuit. He explained that he had a meeting with the pool manager and the pool manager told him that my swimwuit was not allowed and I had to change it. That is the factual story. Since then, the manager (F) has been fired for harassing the staff. She had put up signs banning thongs, even though that was not within her authority. She did not have the legal authority to implement this ban, which fell under the jurisdiction of the city’s mayor. What's more, she had enforced this rule only to me, leaving the women quiet. This constitutes gender-based discrimination and is therefore a crime in my country. It was weird she enforced the ban thong rule via the triathlon manager wherzas she could have told me when I swam during public hours. I think she tried to avoid an argument and the fact I could had filled a complaint againt her for gender discrimination. Now, everything is back to normal. I'm wearing my thong again at the pool during public hours, but I still can't wear it with my club. The triathlon manager never gave me back my authorization, even though he saw me swimming in a thong several times during public hours.

stringueur: Wonder what conversation was like with female pool boss and male triathlon manager about your thonging. Typical i’m assuming female not wanting male in thongs. Triathlon manager a yes man okay do what you say.. Weak man for sure. Having no fortitude to push back. Only shows my point how negativity and censoring thongs on men goes. They keep pushing and you give ground sooner or later those involved become stuck with pride and power. Anyone judging them they go on tirade finally losing her job. Whenever there is tyranny about someone’s swimwear. Things don’t stop there they only escalate in different forms of behaviour. Weak are pushed around complying while strong are victims cast away by their own decisions and consequences others in power decide what they want or overlook. Surprised you look great in a thong physique wise why some women have problems with it is puzzling. I know aqua instructor for long time. She always has phoney demeanour saying hello smiling at everyone. Assume it’s her way keeping part time job being studio, aqua instructor for so long. None had anything bad to say about her. Only when female friend of mine seen that aqua instructor police a gal entering the pool deck in a towel. Asking her what she had on underneath. Gal said g-string to use the sauna. The beloved Aqua instructor told her turn back west something more. This experience i heard second hand from a friend who witnessed it calling aqua instructor ugly bitch. Made me wonder what aqua instructor is saying behind my back when i visit the pool spa. She greets me with welcome smile hello. Although think it’s fake in reality probably had something to say to the female manager to ban me from thongs in the spa pool. Should known better trust others simply having no problems with my thonging for such long time. Yet i ignored the signs of Aqua instructor in shock observing me on the pool deck until i first waved smiling hello to her. So she snap out of the appalled open mouth stare. Lastly Aqua instructor never dare  glance at my thong in close proximity such as hot tub greeting me goodbye. Only she appearing as being uncomfortable with my choice of minimal swimwear looking far away..

 Anyway had fun visiting pool spa. Entering pool deck showering while elderly female aqua class would stare and watch. To the frustration of aqua instructor blocking me from her group session to follow her instructions. Feel bond was forming between aqua instructor and me. Instead feel she thought i antagonized the aqua session on purpose only to bring in more policies none allowed on pool deck when aqua session is taking place. I seen IG posts of the pool spa building wall separating hot tub and pool. Oddly think aqua instructor being tyrant making excuses and troubles she is facing as instructor. 

Just example of more nonsense and power someone is forcing management to implement. 

Just like your female pool boss she never wants direct involvement regarding men that might push back. Telling directly that thongs are forbidden. Instead uses proxies to do her dirty work. Assume aqua instructor does the same using female manager requests and suggestions. Then female manager using male associates to pass on the information to thonger. Yet know policy of thongs exists or response to the question. 

Today I went swimming at noon. I usually never swim on Thursday afternoons. I wore my modest black swim thong as usual. As I was putting my things in my locker, I spotted the director (F) of my office coming in. I didn’t know she was going to the pool. I hesitated for a second about changing my swimsuit, but in the end I decided to keep my thong on and own it. I did not chicken. Finally, I didn’t see her again. She probably swan in the indoor pool and not in the outdoor pool. Another great one-hour swim, in my thong, no problem. The only problem I have is that the swimmers bump into each other. Swim thong is not a problem. If I keep going swimming at lunchtime, sooner or later I'll run into her in the pool while I'm wearing just my swim thong. Maybe I'll finally get a promotion or a bonus? Lol...
