Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/07/2019 09:51:20Copy HTML For several years, I try to put smaller and smaller swimsuits at the public swimming pool. My swimwuits are more and more cheeky.
I never had the nerves to put a true thong at the swimming pool, even if i did it easily at the beach.
I proceed by palliers. Every year, my usual swimming pool is closed the first 2 weeks of September. I take advantage of swimming elsewhere to cross a new threshold and put a swimwuit a little smaller than what I have done in the past year.
This week, that's what I did.
You can get an idea of the jerseys in the pictures of my gallery (i have uploaded photos of my swimsuit progress)
I put my new cheeky swimwear. I was a little nervous because i knew that i was pushing the limits even further than before.
When i was near the pool, the lifeguard (man) took a double look. He was totally surprised. I knew him so i walked toward him to shack the hands. We discussed 2 minutes and after i did my swimming laps and my training.
After 4 or 5 laps, i forgot what i was wearing and i was concentrated on my training.
At the end of my session, i noticed that a woman, a member of the staff but not a lifeguard, was sitting on a chair next the pool. She can't have noticed my swimsuit. I was obliged to walk ahead her to go to the showers. She said me a very friendly "good bye".
I have considered this friendly "good bye" like she wanted to say that my swimsuit was not a problem at all.
now that I've had another step, i think i can't find any swimsuit more cheeky. Next step will be a thong.
And, i'm not sure that the cheeky swimwear i wore this week, is not considered like a thong by some people.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/07/2019 10:19:10Copy HTML So I’ve made the transition from
The current version of the Speedo Solar to the Sporti Euro. Would love to make it down to just a nice thin strapped thong someday. In the mean time my Sport Euro is the smallest suite of of any male lap swimmer at my current location. What is everyone’s recommendations for the next size down coverage wise? Would love to go strait for the thong, but like other have done I’m trying to get there gradually as to not scare the natives. Thanks

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/07/2019 11:42:26Copy HTML I would recommend the Greek bikini or Ultra Greek bikini by Gary Madjel available on Amazon. They both have drawstrings so the suit won’t slip off in the water. The thong by Desmiit also available on Amazon has a drawstring and looks very similar to the thongs that speedo used to make. Pretty much once you go to a skinny sided suit like a string bikini or rio or even thong suit, then the drawstrings are gone and you risk falling out of the suit while swimming. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/09/2019 02:43:24Copy HTML When I swim laps I usually wear either a Speedo solar or a Sporti euro. In Speedo I wear either a 32 or a 30 for a tighter fit that holds everything in place good. I’m not a fan of how they have started fully lining some of their suits because they feel too heavy. In Sporti I wear a 32. The suit fits really well but just have to pull it up as crack tends to show. In Gary Madjel I wear a medium and it fits good. The only thing that I really don’t like is how full the back is. If you are flat back there it may be loose. The price is cheap so give it a try and see if it is something you like.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/10/2019 07:34:57Copy HTML Thanks again for the info MeSoooQuiet,
I wear a 34 Solar and a 36 Euro, tired to go 34 Euro couldn’t get it past my thighs. I totally agree on the Sporti, u til it gets fully soaked the back rides a bit low and has to be pulled up. Your also totally right about the drawstrings. I have always shorted the drawstrings in all of my suits. Well when my latest pair of Euros came in I did t match it up with my old pair and just guessed when I made the cut. Take them with me to the pool and as I go to put them on the drawstring pulls into the waistband and I can’t get to it. Deciding to go ahead and do my laps anyway I though I’d be fine as it does have a snug streamlined fit. Well first push of the wall and ... FREE WILLY!!!! So for the rest of that swim I had to change directions very slowly and we were able to just barely keep things in place. Anyway I think yeah my next suit will be one of the ones you recommended, they look like the perfect next step.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/19/2019 12:00:30Copy HTML I've worn one of my new men's thong one piece swimsuits for each of my last 4 visits at the local indoor pool for lane swim. Zero problems, acted normal, chatted w/ people, (the pool was packed my last visit, I still jumped in and went for it :D) enjoyed my swim and left feeling refreshed. Honestly, one piece thongs are awesome, and so great for lap swim. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/19/2019 09:56:09Copy HTML Went to do my normal lap swim last night and for the first 20 min it was just me and the female lifeguard. All I could think about was DAMN I SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT MY THONG! As all of the staff knows me as a totally normal person who just happens to wear really brief suits (compared to the rest of the guests), if feel if I’m gonna try for a thong, I’d probably try it here first. Another swimmer (female) arrived and left about 10 min before closing. As I was exiting the pool and heading for the locker room I decided to ask the guard if they had a dress code. I told her I normally wore smaller suits than the Sporti Euro I had on. She said basically “as long as you’re covered, it’s fine with us.” I thought to myself, that’s great, I might finally go for it. I told her I was asking because I was looking to wear something really small, I said with very little back Coverage if you know what I mean. She repeated her statement about “as long as you’re covered” Then here comes the plot twist. She then proceeds to tell me that I’m not the only one who wears smaller suits as a lot of the local swim team will wear them. But, there was this one guy who wore a suit that had to be “two sizes too small“ and that she had to keep telling herself that don’t work. And then she repeated but as long as you’re covered. So what does everyone think? Did I just get the greenlight to go ahead and wear a thong, or you can wear whatever but that pushing it? I can see this for one thing though, on my future trips to the pool for the evening adult swim, I will bring it with me. And hopefully get the courage to just go for it. As I’ve said before I’m confident, I just don’t want to Give other people the wrong idea, or make them uncomfortable. While this is a topic that is important to me, I just don’t wanna rock the boat in certain places.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/19/2019 11:44:38Copy HTML I think by "two sizes too small" she is referring to a suit that is too tight, rather than lacking coverage.
When a suit is too tight and digs in it makes muffin top love handles on most people.
By "two sizes too small" it suggests the same suit, but in a size or two larger would have looked better on him.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/20/2019 11:27:36Copy HTML In the last 2 weeks, i went 4 times at 3 differents public swimming pools with my thongs.
Each time, it was similar :
- nobody said anything, others swimmers or lifeguards.
- i did my swim laps as if i wore a swim briefs.
The 3rd time, the lane was very crowded and i asked another swimmer to share his training. I did all his training with him. We chatted a little bit about triathlon, but no one word said about my thong.
4 sessions, 3 public swimming pools and a total acceptance, even indifference, each time, so i was totally happy of this successful experience.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/22/2019 04:55:27Copy HTML @Thonged4life,
Yes, i live in France.
In my country, boardshort are forbidden to the swimming pool. Swim breifs are compulsory. It is easier to wear a cheeky swimsuit because the step is less high.
However, don't think that wearing a thong is easy or mainstream.
To be quiet, i choose the schedule.
During summer (july and august), the double standard is very high. It would be difficult for a man to wear a thong wthout being annoyed by others people not very open mindend.
During the others 10 months, it is very different. It is only swimmers. If you avoid wednesday and saturday afternoon where there are families, you can thong easily because people only want to swim and don't mind what you wear.
Even if it is not totally true : people do not react and act like they don't mind, but i know that people talk about my swimwear choice. Some of my friends had told me it.
And believe me, most of the women have a very good eyesight after 40 y.o., and if not, they come to see more closely.
I can say :
"the smaller the swimwear, the more it is seen"

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/22/2019 09:35:41Copy HTML I have not posted for some time but still swimming laps in a thong or G-string 3 times a week. Today I was wearing a Desmit thong and the regulars said my suit was conservative. I usually wear a Skinz M-55 one or two sizes smaller. Yes it does cause the muffin top effect, but never slips. When ever there is someone new at the pool I always get stares, but once they see I am a serious swimmer and me talking with the regulars at the pool ever thing if fine.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/23/2019 01:05:30Copy HTML Stringueur & 20897. As per my last post I may be closer than ever to thong at my local pool. Like both of you have said, I kind of need to choose my time and place. 2 nights a week they have an adult only lap swim w/ no rec swim. And I’m very well known by all the guards and most of the other “regulars”. But it still might be a stretch for this area. Will be sure to keep everyone posted.. I will be bringing my thong with me tomorrow just in case. As far as swim thongs go I only have 2. A Speedo Solar thong and a Sporti solid thong. The Sporti barely fits as a long as we are relaxed. If I’m able to successfully pull it off... I most certainly will buy more since the ice will have been broken.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/23/2019 12:26:04Copy HTML All during summer I have been swimming in a thong without any issue but since school is back for a few weeks the swim team practices have been constant. This time though we have two separate swim teams in there at 5am when I go do my laps before work. There are probably 40-50 kids swimming and training around the pool so my thong wearing has been halted. I still wear regular bikini or speedos but they are on the younger side and don’t want to wear that in front of them. Oh well... I guess I’ll have to wait till fall break or Christmas time |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/23/2019 03:50:23Copy HTML I find younger kids more accepting than older teens, simply because they have not yet formed hard opinions about life and morality.
They tend to be more honest, but this also means they are more likely to look or stare directly when they see something new. They are also more likely to turn to their peers for a reality check, before forming an opinion.
I notice that teens in swim camps often look to their coaches for how to react to a guy in a thong. If the coaches say "No big deal, now get back to your workouts" it is then no big deal.
Over the years I have had a lot less grief from younger teens than older ones or young adults. And even less grief from younger teens in swim programs. I guess they also feel more confident in a group, which also lessens individual anxiety.
Most times, when they first see me, they are just curious. I think they don't want to say anything until peer checking. If one of the boys makes a smart remark it will be within their own group, and I notice they are often quickly put down by one of the girls, who tells them to grow up.
I find the second or third time they see me in a thong they start giving me positive responses, like thumbs up or actually coming over to say they like my swimsuit. Maybe I am just lucky that their coaches tell them I am a regular beach user, or maybe younger generations have seen thongs on MTV and Instagram and so are not freaked out.
Previously, when younger swim teams, and summer camp teens, or school outings hit the beach I avoided them. I made the same assumptions you have. However over the years I came to realize I was wrong.
While curious, (kids tend to be curious about everything new, especially if it involves bodies, or things adults do), kids and young teens, if not coached to be hostile, have turned out to be some of the best supporters. And when others on the beach see the kids have no problem, they have no problem either.
There was one time when parents were invited to the beach for the final day of swim camp, but had nothing to do but helicopter around. One of the dads made loud comments about my thong, but he was quickly shamed by others, and I heard his daughter being mad at him for embarrassing her.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:09/27/2019 12:54:56Copy HTML Blackthong23, are you in an area of the country where thongs are common at beaches and/or pools? If so, everyone would have seen thongs all summer, so you wearing one now would not shock them.
How old are the 40-50 kids, & are they boys, girls, or both? What are their swimsuits like; how conservative are their swimsuits? If you are wearing something similar to or only slightly less conservative than theirs, that would also be in your favor.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/01/2019 02:05:48Copy HTML I’m in an area that is very conservative when it comes to what swimwear people wear outside of the lap pool. The swim teams have both guys and girls together and the ages range from middle school to seniors in high school. None of the younger kids wear speedos just long tight swim shorts. But the older male kids wear Legit 1 inch side speedos and the girls wear narrow back one pieces. I’m usually good wearing what I want when it’s just them because they aren’t wearing much different than me. With all the other younger crowd in there I’m just a little hesitant t. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/03/2019 06:34:26Copy HTML I FINALLY DID IT!!! It only took over a dozen years, but I DID IT!! I’ve had a black Speedo Solar thong in my drawer for so long. Wearing it in a public pool was such a great feeling. All the staff at the pool know me, as I’ve been doing laps there for almost nine months, in a Speedo Solar (brief) for about 6 and Sporti Euros for the last 3. During the day swims it’s half the pool for lap swimmers and the other half for lessons or “rec swim”. The 2x a week evening swims are adult only lap swim. I’ve worn my thong for the last two nights. Never thought my briefs felt at all restrictive when swimming, but after wearing a thong... I don’t want to go back. Sure nothing beats swimming in the buff, but for laps, I prefer things stay put. So I’m thinking until the Gary Majdell Ultra Greek ( recommended by MeSoooQuiet) that I just ordered comes in, it’s Sporti Euros during the day and the Speedo Thong for the night swims:-) After I get alll the regulars at night used to my Solar thong, will have to look for something just a little smaller in front. Not trying for anything super skimpy, just a nice fitting traditional thong. I’ve heard a lot of people mention the Desmit suits. Will have to look them up. Much thanks to all everyone who said go for it! |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/03/2019 04:09:07Copy HTML The Desmitt thong is hands down my new favorite! The drawstring is exactly what is needed and keeps the thong in place when you push off the wall. I would definitely try them out if I were you. They are pretty cheap for the quality you are getting. My first Desmitt thong has lasted for 2 years and it’s just now showing signs of losing its elasticity but that’s after wearing it ALOT!! I like them because the fronts are very conservative and don’t look any different than what others are wearing. The more you start wearing them in front of the regular they will get use to it. I’m at that point now and nobody even seems to care. The best part to me is when your standing there and talking to someone and they don’t seemed fazed at all your wearing a thong. It’s a great feeling. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/09/2019 06:56:56Copy HTML Interestingly enough as it turns out the lifeguard I mentioned in the post, is actually the #2 in charge of the pool. Clearly she's ok with my choice and so have been the others who have worked that shift. So I feel pretty confident in saying that unless I or the staff get some really bad comment, I think I will be thonging all the "adult swim" sessions. Still doing my Sporti Euro for the day swims as there are still a bunch of kids and such doing lessons and rec swim. I did take the advice of MeSoooQuier and ordered a Gary Majdell Ultra Greek. Should be here tomorrow, we'll see how it fits. If it's good will use that during the day swims. It received ok by the crowd will hopefully transition to a thong full time. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/18/2019 06:29:34Copy HTML Wore the GM Ultra Greek for laps today during the day swim ( so rec swimmers and lessons in other lanes) and it was GREAT!!! I can't get over just how much before I started wearing my thong for the night swim that I didn't think you could call something as small as a Sporti Euro restrictive. However having worn the thong at night and the Ultra Greek for todays swim, I'm a believer. However I wouldn't call briefs restrictive, but more distracting vs a string brief or thong. So as this board has been pretty good so far for suit recommendations, I have gone ahead and ordered 2 Desmitt thongs today. I did on my last night swim try a thong recommended on another site (Womens Sporti Solid thong) in the largest size they offer I just barely fit in it when everything is totally relaxed. Although no-one said a thing, it barley stayed on. So I'm just hoping I go the sizing correct on the Desmitt. Advice elsewhere says they run small, so as someone with a 35-36 was it I went XL. Will keep everyone posted when they arrive. Coming for overseas so estimated end of the month early next.. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/18/2019 06:00:39Copy HTML The Desmitt XL thong is what I wear and it fits perfect for me. I now have just about every color they offer and have about 5 different colors of their Bikinis. Lately it’s been hard to wear a thong with all the swim teams around and coaches hovering on the edges so I’ve been sticking with the bikinis lately. Not ideal since I found thongs are so much better to swim laps in but I like their bikinis because it’s still pretty narrow on the sides And show more than your average speedo but very accepting among other swimmers. I wear a XL on those as well |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/19/2019 05:00:24Copy HTML I have been using the local YMCA pool for about two years. At my old location, thongs were well tolerated and there were no specific rules about them and a wide acceptance of them by others. The day I went down to sign up and pay my dues, there were two women to mention, one in a true thong and one in a very cheeky swimsuit. There was also one man in a thong.
Both the man and the thong-clad woman seem especially popular for some reason with all the lifeguards and other people at the "Y". This included members of all ages. They were treated like they were their best friends. I later learned that this popularity extended to the weight room, indoor running track and other areas these popular people went as well, but also discovered that people were just generally more friendly and this was not a thonging thing.
I ask the young lady showing me around about the guy and ask if the reason he was so popular was because of his swimsuit. She replied something like "Is there something unusual about his swimsuit?" There is no way she could have not noticed his thong.
She was showing the facilities off to a lot of people and spent a lot of the rest of her time wandering around both inside and outside the building. The guy in the thong got into and out of the water, visited the rest room, laid out in the sun tanning his buns, etc. and at one point she even introduced him to one of the new members as he was sunning his buns.
That was all I needed to see and a few days later when I went to used the facilities the first time, I wore a thong and nobody ever said a word to me about it or acted like there was anything unusual about what I was wearing. I also saw one other man and a hand full of women who chose to thong too.
At my new "Y", there was a note apparently aimed a thong wearing buried in the printed rules book. It says something like "swimwear must provide coverage conforming to other swimwear popularly accepted for that gender." So thongs were not truly restricted unless they did not conform to popular swimwear trends for the sex of the person wearing them.
On my tour of the "Y", I didn't see any other men or women in thongs, but a few of the ladies wore cheeky swimwear.
At this facility, I used the gradual uncovering method of getting people used to seeing me in thongs. My schedule at the time was quite regular, so I was able to go to the "Y" each day at the same time, and many others also were there at the same times. I started with Speedo type swimsuits, with no negative reactions from anyone. I let people get used to it for a week or two, then gradually worked my way down to a Rio with much narrower sides. I switched back and forth sometimes wearing a Speedo and sometime a Rio. I actually put all my Speedos and the Rios I wore in one drawer and mixed them up a bit and randomly pulled one out to wear. As time went by, I added more and more Rios with less and less coverage. I also started to remove some of the more conservative Speedos so my swimwear was getting skimpier and skimpier. After a few weeks of this, I added a Rio with a very narrow back -- one I could let slip into my cheeks if I wanted. At first when this happened I would pull it out, but soon stopped bothering with it, letting it become essentially my first thong. I had two more similar suits and worked them into my swimwear mix, and eliminated all but my skimpiest Speedos. With no complaints after another week or so, I started to sneak in my most conservative thongs -- swimwear that there is no way I could pull out of my crack to permit more coverage. As I did this, I eliminated most of my Rios. I kept putting smaller and smaller thongs in my mix, and eliminating all but a couple of Rios, and the almost thong Rios and one Speedo I had saved before. I was now wearing essentially G-strings as my skimpiest swimwear, but also still wore my Speedo and a small assortment of Rios and mostly thongs. I never had an negative responses.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/22/2019 08:09:18Copy HTML If the fact that wearing a thong makes the others swimmers avoid my swim lane, i can tell you that, in this case, i would wear my best thong at all my swim session. Just to have the opportunity to have the swim lane just for me.
Unluckily, it doesn't work. When i do my swim laps in my thong, the swim lane stays crowded.
Of course, i 'm sure that some people avoid me. I think some male swimmers avoid me beacause they think i'm gay or female swimmers avoid me because they think i'm a pervert, i don't know...
But what i know is that some swimmers avoid my swim lane because I double them all the time and it demoralizes them.
Most of the swimmers are bad swimmers at the public hours (in my country.. maybe be in others countries, all people are good swimmers, but i doubt).
Yesterday, i had an altercation with an other swimmer. He has never sais a word about my thong. But i can tell you he was very agressive about the fact i double him all the time. The truth is that he was taking all the lane when he was swimming backstroke.
A women was getting out of the pool and told me that i demoralized her when i doubled her just by doing swim kicks with my kick board while she did crawl.
This story show that others swimmers don't care about my minimal swimsuits (cheeky or thong, it depends). Others swimmers want only to swim and try only to get along with others swimmers and to share the lane intelligently (or not...).

So I’ve always had a lane to myself this far. But I will be sure to take note if I’m there first and all lanes are full, to see who goes wear. Now if I were to start wearing it during the day swim times when the red swim and lessons are going on... Would be interesting to see who went with who as your almost always doubled up then... But if getting there first and wearing my thong increases my chances of keeping a lane all to myself.... I may just have to try it out. Getting the daytimers used to my GM Ulta Greek first.. |

I arrived at the local swimming centre at 7am, about an hour after it opened. Figured I’d avoid the local ‘serious’ swimmers for the early session. This is when my local pool is at it’s quieter morning period, so I thought this place may be the same.
Wrong.
It has thermal Artesian pools as well. It appears the local elderly population get there therapeutic soaking done early in the day. Oh well.
I had a look at the 50m pool and saw a few free lanes on the far side, so thought the thong was all go. Went to the (very small, considering the size of the centre) change room and put on my Desmitt royal blue thong. I put my running shorts back on over the top, just to get through the crowd to my chosen spot. The far lane was free, so that’s where I headed. Got my goggles and earplugs ready, put my flippers and board on the poolside, then dropped my shorts and went about my normal routine.
I swam my twenty laps, then stopped to put on my flippers and get the board. An older gent was getting into the lane beside me. He obviously saw what I was wearing and had a bit of a look to see if what he thought he saw was what he actually saw. I said Good Morning and so did he, and off we went.
I follow my swim with 10 laps on the board, and noticed quite a few younger children turning up for their daily laps. Seems like a school group or whatever. Mums and Dads arrived with kids in tow, so I got out and headed for the hot pools. A few mums had a look and a comment between themselves.
I spent another 1/2 hour in the hot pools with around 50-60 older folk. No problem at all. Some had a second look when I got out. No comments however. I left shortly after.
I had no problem whatsoever, but actually don’t think many people noticed I had a thing on. I don’t think one of the many staff/lifeguards noticed me at all. That makes it hard to gauge the acceptance. A few more visits would probably give a better indication, but I was in town for one night only. As Grabeach says, it may be the second or third visit before you hear any feedback.
The Desmitt is wonderful to swim in, by the way.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/25/2019 01:19:02Copy HTML That sounds very similar to what we have at my pool. Monday Wednesday Fridays the swim teams are in there swimming at 5:30 am which is when I have to go before work. I’ve mentioned how that is in other posts but on Tuesdays and Thursday’s, it’s senior water aerobics and there are about 20 or so that come in. I found most don’t seem to notice but there are a few guys that just sit and stare at everything that moves in pool. I’ve worn my thongs in front of them but it’s kinda awkward with someone just staring. Never have said anything so I just keep doing what I always do. Side note.. Wednesday the younger swim teams didn’t show up and it was just the older kids swimming. One girl came in from outside with her suit on and just a sweat shirt on and her already narrow suit was in full thong mode. Haha she never adjusted it and walked all around the pool like that until she started her swim. She was quite confident and seemed to be flirting with some of the guys swimming. I also noticed a few of the guys are wearing pretty small swimsuits as well. They are legit 1 inch side bikini style suits. I’m hoping this trend continues so that I don’t feel so out of place wearing a thong or a smaller bikini while swimming |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/28/2019 01:48:41Copy HTML As mentioned on the New Zealand post http://thongboard.aimoo.com/topic/New_Zealand-394820-7363-1 here in Wellington New Zealand I've been wearing various swim thongs to swim at the local public pool without issue for 1 or 2 years now and I've been doing it 3x a week.
Currently swapping between a Kiniki swim thong or Kiniki swim tanga depending on how I feel. Lately been wearing the tanga more because I enjoy the 'open leg' feel more. I'm Chinese Asian by the way so it makes me stand out even more.
Haven't had much luck striking up conversations with girls at the pool unfortunately. Send any advice my way! I wonder if it's partly due to New Zealand culture where people generally don't strike up conversations at the pool or the gym.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/30/2019 10:43:39Copy HTML Last week, i had a difficult swim session : 50 x 100m. Start every 1'40" (swim 1'25" - rest 15").
I dit it with two friends (girls). One of the two (Cora) is very frank and don't hesitate to make comments.
As usual, i wore my very cheeky swimsuit, almost a thong. When i arrived, they were waiting for me just beside the lifeguards.
Cora start to make a comment about the fact my swim bag on my back was hidding my buns.
As i put my bag on the edge of the pool, i walked at the end of the lane 1 and 2 in order to go to the lane 3 to join my 2 friends.
Cora was watching the two women who were doing kicks in the lane 1 and said very loudly : "they don't miss any details".
It was only yhe second time someone make comments about my swimwear.
Then, we started the training, and there was no more comments.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:10/30/2019 02:02:29Copy HTML That sounds pretty awesome you have a few ladies training with you and don’t seem to care you are wearing a thong or cheeky suit. I see a few people that come in and train together and they stay pretty zoned into what they are doing. My main goal is to be one of the regulars where people will talk to you or swim next to you without any notice or care you are in a thong. I think it’s working pretty well for me. I did hear one lady who was training with a guy as I took my pants off and I had a yellow Desmitt thong on say I’ll try to pay attention to the training as she looked over and saw me about to get in the pool. I didn’t take it bad at all and it was kinda funny. Since that day I probably see them once a week and haven’t had any issues. Still haven’t talked to them but they don’t seem to care. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:11/07/2019 09:17:51Copy HTML Got the Desmiit thongs in on Monday and a big THANKS to MeeSoooQuiet and others who have recommended and endorsed them, they fit great!! The XL was the right choice for sure (I wear a 34 Speedo & 36 Sporti Euro) They look almost exactly like the Speedo Solar thong on the sides and back, but sit about an inch lower in front. In other words it was exactly what I was looking for. So yes it’s a thong, but it doesn’t scream LOOK AT ME!!
Like BlackThong23 said the drawstring is perfect for keeping things in place when pushing off the wall. So far the most I may have gotten is a double take, but no negative comments or complaints.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:11/20/2019 08:54:39Copy HTML Was able to get a swim in with my desmitt thong this morning. Felt good to be back! lately the swim teams have been pretty active and pretty much filling up the pool. I’ve just been swimming in bikinis but today only 7-8 swim team members were there and they were at the end of the pool. I had my yellow Desmitt thong on under a yellow JS bikini that I usually wear and noticed they were alittle late and not as many so I stripped to the thong. Got my laps done and had to go back to the table I had my towel and bag on and 3 ladies were getting their floaters on to do some aerobics. All said Goodmorning and saw my thong in full view. Felt great to stand there and chat for a second with them as I was drying off. I’m hoping Friday’s swim will be the same and I can build up the thong presence again. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:11/23/2019 10:06:36Copy HTML I’ve been wearing the Desmiit thongs at my local community indoor pool for lap swims. 2x a week they have adult lap swims with not other activities going on in the pool.
The rest of the week lap swim is only half the pool with the rest being either swim lessons or recreation swim. For all the daytime sessions I’m wearing the Gary Majdell Ultra Greek, be proud of myself if I could thong during those too.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:11/25/2019 02:14:06Copy HTML thats awesome thongguy2c . maybe you can work your way up to wearing a desmit thong all the time? Start off with a skimpy speedo and work it into a thong during the non adult times. Besides you are already wearing the desmit thong during the adult swim so if there are lifeguards there then they are use to it. Curious what city and state you are in if I may ask? |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:11/25/2019 03:47:26Copy HTML Vega1210. Yeah, I’d like to wear one all the time, need to find something in between my GM Ultra Greek and the Desmiit thong. The dayshift has A LOT more staffing than the night shift, and it’s the same 3 -4 guards out of probably 10-11 that have seen my thong and only 2 desk staff out of 5-6. And at best a dozen other clients out of I have no idea how many... That being said I for sure should like to make it to a thong full time. I posted on another forum that I never thought one could consider a normal swim brief restrictive, but after swimming in a thong..... Yeah you can feel a swim brief.
My location... I’ll say Southern Washington State

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:12/04/2019 03:25:06Copy HTML @thonged4life this is what I wear. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cheeky-Sexy-Swimsuit-with-string-Men-Swimming-Bikini-Mens-Swimwear/223690028674 I do pull it in the back so its more of a thong.
In reality its probably to daring for the location, so will end up sticking with the one in the link I provided. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:12/11/2019 10:52:31Copy HTML Just curious what you guys are seeing (swimwear) at your local lap pools, gym pools etc lately? Are guys still in board shorts? Reason I ask is I’ve seen a slight increase in guys wearing speedos in our lap pool which I live in a very conservative area. Although the Swim team guys still all wear 1 inch side briefs showing slight cheeks while the girls are wearing narrow 1 pieces, almost thongs which I’ve mentioned many times before.
What I’ve seen change are the other guys lately have been wearing smaller suits. Nothing compared to mine of course but for example this morning I wore a black Desmitt thong, two ladies next to me were in their normal 1 pieces and 3 other guys all wearing speedos with 1 with a square cut. Every guy in the water today had something other than and smaller than board shorts and long Jammer swimwear on.
Maybe it’s just the time I’m swimming and it’s only serious swimmers but I’m liking the trend! It’s been like that for a month now and not seeing a single board short or jammer while swimming laps is great!

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:12/13/2019 05:11:44Copy HTML I was lap swimming this morning (UK & chuffed with election result!)
Wore my usual Snyder Kini - the briefest attired by far.
I would say 85% chaps wearing swim shorts - which I don't even own.
Balance wearing very conservative swim briefs, minimum side say about 4", majority more like 6"

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:12/19/2019 01:19:14Copy HTML Hey UK guys doing laps in thongs! I found this article (may have been brought up before):
https://metro.co.uk/2018/06/29/thongs-banned-spa-skimpy-7669987/
The manager stresses that it's a family friendly facility, and therefor thongs and see-through swimwear are banned, regardless of who is wearing it. He also says the policy is in line with most public pools in the UK. Is that a fact? Does he know what he is talking about here? What are your experiences?
I have never heard the family argument in Sweden, although that might have been the reason behind an incident a few years ago. A man were doing yoga poses in a thong at the beach. Someone called the police, who came and checked, and then left because they there was no obvious felony or misdemeanour.
Doing laps in a thong in Sweden would probably render a few laughs and stares, and maybe an awkward situation with confused people wondering why the heck a man would feel inclined to wear such a garment in a public place. But I have never seen or heard of a ban against thongs, and I have seen a few teenage girls in thongs recently, playing in the water and going in the water slide with no one batting an eye.

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:12/19/2019 09:14:19Copy HTML Visiting the pool recently in my Desmitt thong wore it in sauna, whirlpool, then doing laps in the pool. Seen initially female getting out of the whirlpool as i hung up my towel and she was reaching for her towel. Sure she noticed my thong but had no visible signs or reaction as many moons ago of me in a thong. As i was finishing my laps a Malaysia female came out walking and showering on the pool deck, as i waited in the water for her to finish then she moved over to the whirlpool meeting her man. Later as i got out of the dry sauna walking along the pool deck picking my towel up near the whirlpool. The same Malaysian woman was following her man to the pool from the hottub. Only she seen me walking over, she paused on the steps of the whirlpool, to get clear look upon me passing by. Her man stood watching confused on her delay falling behind. No visible reactions again from the woman i could pick up, staring upon me. Although she looked more intrigued observing my front side then back side which isn't that surprising for most woman first glancing upon me. Although when she was sitting in the whirlpool after her shower while her man had his back towards me looking at her. She had view of me showering commng out of the pool before i walked into the dry sauna. I'm starting to believe wearing a thong isn't big deal for anyone to observe or care. For at least those who aren't prudes at least. |

Re:Doing pool laps in a thong Date Posted:01/23/2020 08:38:55Copy HTML I'm mustering the courage to swim laps in thongs, and I own a black Desmiit thong. I like the front, it's conservative and reminds of a speedo with a thinner waistband, and it feels endurable enough and should resist the chlorine for a while. My problem is the back. Partly because this one has quite a narrow thong back and thin sides which makes me feel I draw even more attention to myself, and partly I don't like the very shape of the back. It's too muck of a T-shape for my taste, at least on my butt it sits like that. I like it when it's more curved, more like the shape of a whale tale if you know what I mean. A more rounded frame to my buttocks. And if I can feel more confident about how the thong suits me, it would make the step to swimming in a thong smaller. So, a good swim thong with a front kind of like the Desmiit, but a bit more conservative back - any ideas? |
