Blackthong_23...surprisingly it was mostly square-cut briefs on the younger guys, speedos here and there, board shorts were still the majority but not as long as in in years past.

I have a trip booked for February of 2023 to punta cana with 6 couples and all our young kids. Everyone is decently conservative except for me - I plan on thonging it the whole week. Love the sun on my buns and don’t really care what anyone else thinks. Hoping for a welcoming environment. Anyone been there or have anything to offer?

Ok, so I was definitely the only guy in a thong. Saw one other older man in a conservative cut Speedo, but aside from that, board shorts everywhere. The odd lady at the beach had a thong, and a handful of women at the adults only pools were sporting thongs, but otherwise even the women had very conservative, normal-style swimsuits. Definitely had many people looking at me. The odd comment could be heard like “check out this guy in a thong”, but nothing negative. Several compliments from people like “way to rock that thong” and so forth. Clearly i enjoy the exhibition aspect of it, so all in all, a good experience. The people I was with all thought it was quite a kick too, so no negativity there. Looking forward to my next thonging adventure.

I went to Bavaro Palace in DR for a weekend in December 2022 for a bachelor party. I was able to spend two days alone in the adult section where I stripped down to a thong and spent the whole day in it. Probably the most fun and exciting trip I have ever had by simply stripping down to my thong. The first day I stripped down to a navy blue thong with strings in the front to tighten it and make sure it stays in place. I laid on the lounge chair and occasionally made the walk to the bar to refill my drinks. I received lot of looks, even caught few older ladies secretly taking pictures of me (which I didn’t care about). I made my way to the beach where I found a lounge chair, put my towel on it, and continued to apply tanning lotion all over my body for that nice thong tan line. After laying down and flipping over multiple times, I could hear one of the people working there walking around others with a volleyball in hand asking them if they wanted to play. He finally made his way to my chair and I looked up and here he is smiling while greeting me “ Good Morning Sir, would you like to play volleyball, we will be starting at 11am”, I said “ sure! I would love that”. I tossed and turned another time or two before I started making my way over there. I could see that they had around 6-7 others on the court, and waiting on few more. I joined them, said good morning and everyone else did the same. No comments, no stares, no laughing, or sneaking pics. We got couple other people joined, and here we go 6v6. My team had two girls, one in a very cheeky bikini and another in a thong, me in a thong, along with 3 other guys in shorts (albeit they were shorter, maybe 5-6inch seam). The other team had one girl in a cheeky bikini and the rest were men in shorts. We played for almost two hours straight. I spiked the ball, dove on the sand, got covered in sand, high-fived others, switched sides, the whole nine yards. No issues whatsoever. There were, however, people staring as they were walking on the beach near the water. I heard a women laugh so loud as she was walking in a group, and I figured they were looking at me. Few others were taking pictures, but I really didn’t mind. After we were done playing, I went into the water as I was covered in sand EVERYWHERE. Needed to rinse off. Went into the water and walked to the shower before I made my way back to the lounge chair. Low and behold a couple that was on my team approached me and told me that I played well, etc. started having a small conversation where they said that they were trying to make friends and I told them if they wanted to join me and bring their lounge chairs a little closer. They were on vacation from Italy, she was wearing a blue thong bikini bottom and a blue bikini top. He was wearing board shorts (6-7inch seam). We hung out the rest of the day going into the water, taking a walk to the bar to refill our drinks, smoking, etc. The best part is when he was applying tanning lotion on her back. I happened to stand up and started applying tanning lotion on my shoulders, stomach, legs, etc. she then said “hey, would you like me to apply it on your back too?” I said “sure!”. So she started doing so, then she said “ would you like your butt as well?” and I couldn’t believe it, I said “sure! Thank you!”. Then here we have a man sitting on the lounge chair applying lotion on his girlfriend’s back/butt, she is standing and I standing in front of her as she is applying lotion on my back, butt, and legs. I said “this is the tanning lotion train” (I know it’s corny lol) but they started laughing as I wiggled by butt from side to side as I still couldn’t believe it.

2--- Anyway, we spend couple more hours talking as others started joining us, other couples from Brazil, and France so there we were around 7 of us. I am relaxing in my thong as well as the ladies were in their thongs and the men were in shorts. Talking about everything and no one made a single comment on my thong except to say that I was going to have the best tan out of everyone. We decided we needed to eat so I put on my button on palm tree shirt and made our way to the restaurant off the beach. I walked in wearing nothing but my thong, shirt, hat, glasses, and flipflops. We had an awesome time eating together before making our way back to the lounge chair and dipping in the water couple of times before going our separate ways. The next day I went back and put on a different thong. Joined different group of people playing volleyball for couple of hours. Also joining us, we had around 4 girls total all in thongs playing. Other men were in shorts. I was in a thong. Great energy, jumping, and running around the ball. No comments, except positive ones like “oh, I love your suit” “you’re going to have a great tan” “where did you get this suit from?” etc. After the games were over, I again, made my way to the water to rinse off and cool off a bit. One of the guys that was playing on the opposite team had been eyeing me the whole time. I initially thought he was disgusted by my thong as every time we had made eye contact, he was looking at me. Anyway, as I made my way into the water, here he is, the guy that has been starring at me. He was wearing black shorts, little muscular, thick, pretty handsome fella, ended up not that far from me in the water when he said I played well during the game. I said thanks, then he started asking me where I am from, etc. Then he says “I don’t mean to be upfront, but you are beautiful” I was surprised but I said “ thank you!”, he said “your thong, I love it!” I said “haha, thank you!” and then we started talking some more. I still met up with my other friends from the other day, we exchanged numbers and pictures. Had a great time catching up with them and we still message each other even though they’re in Italy. Literally, the best experience I have ever had wearing my thongs at a resort.

Bubblebut - Good Beach report. Years ago when I still lived on a houseboat the people from the neighboring boats and a few other locals played sand volleyball where our boats were docked. (A friend had brought in the sand and posts.) I would always wear a thong, and from time to time so did some of the women. Volleyball is one of the good things to DO, rather than hanging around looking furtive. Keep up the good work.

Just returned from Occidental Punta Cana. Wore Skinz tan thru low rise rio’s with g string underneath. Although I didn’t get any obvious remarks, I felt generally accepted. I had the smallest suit of any male AND I did notice several other men going smaller than their normal boardies after seeing me!

Pk-thong - It is very common for people to look to others for what to wear and to lead the way. Many men pack something smaller, but don't wear it until someone else does first.

I’m in total agreement with JM on this one. I’ve never given a second thought to wearing either a tiny g-string or thong swimsuit from day one of my holiday, be it if I’m laid out by the pool or on the beach. Yes the brevity of some of my suits had got me some attention, but that’s why I wear them!! One things for sure though, come day two I’d defiantly influenced other guys to break out their smaller suits, one or two of which would also be thongs…. LEAD FROM THE FRONT!!!!

Pkthong- I went to that same resort 20 years ago it was totally different. Every woman was topless on the beach with 50% with a thong or non thong but they were topless including my girlfriend. One gentleman had a G-string on at the beach. The majority of men had speedos on or a micro square cut swimsuits. I remember I stood out because I was the only one wearing dork shorts. At that time I didn't know better....

Enjoyed a 5 days all inclusive resort trip to Punta Cana, at the Sunscape Coco (formerly Be Live Collection Punta Cana). I would rate it as a 3 star, family friendly hotel & amenities. The beach is pretty overwhelmed by seaweed currently so I spent most of the time between the main pool area & the Spa. I was the only male wearing a thong but saw a few guys in Speedo type suits. I got a few side-eyed looks from some of the guests but never had a problem. I spoke with one woman from Brazil who was accepting & encouraging on the issue of thong wearing. Of course, she was also wearing a cheeky suit. At the Spa, there’s a pool, sauna & steam room. So, before & after a service, you’re free to use those amenities. I was in a thong the whole time, except for the times I was nude in the sauna or steam. At the big pool, approximately 1/4 of the women wore a thong or cheeky suit. Overall, positive experience.
