A very strange thing happened in the conversion.
All the posts that were left by members who have left this forum, or deleted their Aimoo account, appear to now show the author as JM_Runs.

So I have all my own history of posts,

AND I seem to now be attribued with hundreds or thousands of posts that I did not make.  Ones that previously were attributed to Ex_Member.

All very odd. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, it's been like that since the migration. It also appears that posts which may have previously been deleted (for users whose accounts had been wiped out) might now be showing up too.

That's even more interesting. Do you know of any deleted posts that have shown up? Deleted threads go to a trash bin. When in the trash bin I can move a thread back into existence, by putting it in a different category. The threads in the trash bin get deleted reasonably regularly, when I empty the trash bin. I don't know where deleted replies go. I was under the impression they went away for good.

I don't have a specific example, I was just reading some old threads recently and places where I recalled that the conversation used to have holes because of missing posts now seemed to be complete. Perhaps if someone make an archive of the old site they could compare.

I couldn't work out why old posts from JM Runs seemed out of context - now I know that they aren't his.

Some of it has been fixed. I thought it was going to be VERY difficult to fix. Good to see Aimoo.com is making a serious attempt to fix the bugs in the new software.

However there are still lots of posts credited to me that are not by me at all.

There might be another similar issue.  I was trying to read all the past posts on  The Presence of Children vs. What To Wear? (kids) and around post #33 and again #39 (for many posts) it appears that JM is taking two or more sides in discussion topics.  I don't know if this is related to Ex_Member posts or not, since I can not figure out who wrote the original posts.  In some cases, it seems that there may be (besides JM) anyplace from one to three others who's posts are now attributed to JM.

Yep, there are many threads where posts are credited to me that were not posted by me at all.

Glad you brought this up. I was very confused the other day, reading contradicting posts from JM! Thought someone had hacked his account.

Is it possible for JM Runs to start another account for future posts separate from his administrative account so we won't be confused? "The real JM Runs" ???
