I thought it a color of older "posie" guys. Now it is probably one of my more common colors. I generally go through phases. Most of my thongs are basic colors like black, royal blue, fire engine red. I do have some in multy colors and stripes. Big patterns get lost on small thongs but narrow stripes often look good and depending on the direction can show a different side to the cut of the thong. I have black and white, light blue and white, red and white striped thongs. Brighter colors just seem right on gloomy days. When it is gray and overcast an old thong from about 14 years ago comes out. It? a faded day-glow yellow and shows up from a mile away on a cloudy or fog day. Not much fog in South Florida. I am normally out in dark blue, red, black, green or simple and hopefully elegant thongs but lally I have been having fun with some brighter thongs. I have recently acquired two of the skinz banded thongs that they had on their 2002 catalog cover. The ones with an orange waist string and blue and yellow flames on the front. If you had asked me a year a go if I would be wearing them I would have said no. But now.... well I think I am enjoying the in your face colors and the reactions I get. Heck if we are not colorful then who the heck did the tourists come to see ? |

38 and just started thonging this year. Got to say I like the loud colors. Orange and red pattern and blue and neon green a favorite (wavy swirls pattern). Silid thong in neon orange also a favorite. Univ. of Fla. my alma mater so ;ike the colors! Keep thonging! |

Here are my personal favorites: Black - classic, sexy, never lets you down. White (maybe with black stripes) - lovely, might even get a little transparent and it's cool. Blue - goes very well with a tanned body. Especially good if you have black hair. Turqoise - Same as blue, but seems a bit more original. |

I'm still on the fence about getting the red thong for public display (thinking about it, I actually haven't seen any male thongers on the beach wearing red). Perhaps I should poll the membership. Should I do it? |

My swim thongs (and briefs too) have always been in fairly bright colours, as are my underwear thongs. I don't like black, or dark colours, since they make any tan look much paler and, if there is no tan, early in the year, make anyone look as if they've seen a ghost! No, any light colour enhances a tan! The only colour I haven't had for any swimming costume of any sort, is light blue, but I'm thinking I'd like to correct that sometime! I'm getting a bit tired of red, yellow and green! I don't mind a hint of "see-through", ever since the liner in a yellow nylon swim brief slipped to one side when I was diving from the high board at the University pool, and noticed that a woman standing at the poolside was looking up at me with a happy grin on her face! It wasn't till I'd climbed out from the water that I realised why she looked so cheerily at me |

Do you stick to one colour for your thongs and G-strings or do you like to vary? I like to wear all sorts of bright colours but I am most comfortable in black thongs and g-strings, they just look best and I like the dark contrast against the skin. However, I am also a fan of more exotic styles like ManStore and Gregg Homme too where the materials are wilder like some of the animal print or even gold designs. Share your preferences here guys and gals! |

I have a skinz gstring in pink, not the soft light colored pink but more of the reddish pink. I was out to the Skinz store yesterday looking at the new patterns but didn't see much that impressed me. I told the girls that work there that I would return when I had more time and sit down and go thru the new materials for this year and have a few suits made to custom order. I like bright colors as it really makes my dark tan stand out and I figure if I am gonna wear a sexy gstring on the beach for all to see it might as well be bold in color.

I will choose my thongs to wear according to my outfits. When I wear all black, I wear light colour thong, somewhat a balance between in and out. If I wear white pants, I usually wear white thong, unless I want to make the thong more noticeable, I will wear black or dark blue ones.

My latest buy is a Muscleskins MP thong in royal blue, because I like that colour. I don't have the guts to wear colours like yellow or red, but I like them too look at when others are wearing them. Some guys look very good in them!

For swimwear, they're all black, with the exception of one of my Speedo thongs (blue) and a Joe Snyder thong that is white (mostly because I wear it more as underwear.) I recently ordered my first Muscleskins thong though, and decided to go for blue this time. My Joe Boxer thongs are of varying solid colors, but more because you have no choice with them coming in packs of 3.
I really like white against tan skin, but it is just too prone to becoming transparent for me when it comes to swimwear. |

For swimwear I have quite a variety of thongs and g-strings -- mostly of solid colors -- but prefer black, navy blue, red, and purple. I think these work best especially when I don't have much of a tan. Also, since I trim my pubes but don't often shave completely those colors tend to hide or minimize what little pubic hair hangs over the top of the thong. Later in the summer, when I have a tan and/or have shaved my pubes completely, I've been known to wear neon yellow, pink, and lighter colors including white because then they look pretty good in my opinion. |

I now wear far more bright colored thongs. Wearing black seems like a missed opportunity to be colorful, so probably not unless it is Halloween. I now have a wall of thongs in just about every color or pattern imaginable, and tend towards brighter colors that stand out.
Today one of the newly fired Spirit airlines stewardesses messaged me to say she would be wearing a turquoise thong so to match the color , and that she was bringing another Spirit stue.
Her friend has not paddled with us before, so being a little first time shy wore a sbikini with small back, not a full on thong, but said she will be less shy next time.
I often let the first women to arrive pickout my thong for the day. Kind of fun. |

I live next door to a community pool in a very conservative town. Per the rules, only appropriate swimwear is acceptable. I know this from personal experience. One time I was asked to change when wearing a navy Cocksox swim brief. I know it was because of the cut of the suit and not the color. Cocksox suits are form fitting but everything was covered. I am sure no thongs are permitted. However, in the past, I wore turquoise Cocksox swim trunks with minimal issues. I say minimal because I was never asked to change nor did I hear any comments from anyone while there. But later in the week, comments got back to me from a friend who is friends with the pool manager. The manager was a bit shocked with what I was wearing, but never approached me at the pool.
I guess a male wearing turquoise Cocksox swim trunks is the threshold at this venue. I think if I had worn black or navy blue, no comments would have been made. This is just my opinion.
I have Cocksox swim trunks, swim briefs, and swim thongs. I also have the-bikini.com g-strings. I have all these suits in many colors. My favorite suits are the bright colors. I like them because they are different and convey confidence.
I have recently started buying custom thongs from Skinz. I am starting out buying one suit at a time while we tweak the exact cut I am looking for. Once the cut is perfected to my liking, I will be buying many suits in bright colors. I also plan to buy some suits in the thin, transparent when wet materials. I look forward to wearing these suits to more private venues and possibly to South Beach some day. |

She, on the other hand, complete opposite. Neon greens, pinks, oranges, etc. She likes to stand out. She does occasionally wear a black or white suit.
I will say, color makes a big difference. When she wears a black suit, from a distance, she doesn't stand out as much. Neon pink, you can pick her out of a crowd really quick. |

Own modest mango/ peach color orange thong. Find it transparent in the pool, also too much coverage, wide one inch side straps way to much fabric for minimal tanlines.
Camo print either highlighted with pink lines or green feels the best since any shape or outline is difficult to notice wonderful for the pool not to be seen as exhibitionist.
Magenta or brightest pink purple, fuchsia with black accented g-string side straps great for tanning. Only problem small teardrop pouch is shapeless. Fabric is thin when wet sheer. Wonderful bright color yet not bulge friendly or enhancing.
Leopard orange stripe bulge thong with triangle back thin straps ideal for the beach.
White leopard black spots very appealing to wear on the beach highlights my tan. Often unisex print found on bikini clad gals matching their tops or bottoms.
Turquoise aqua same color as background of forum. Triangle back tiny pouch and narrow side strings.
Black Y back boy strings thong minimal coverage lots of intrigued envious attention from posh gals and few compliments and smiles. Bright Red best to describe color almost dark pink muscleskins poser thong with smallest straps. Enjoyed it most often worn to the beach after straps loosen making it not well fitting. Most impactful color and thong from standpoint of second glances, conversations and attention. Only color and design that caused near miss accident by riders passing through from watching my beach showering. Only after my shower observer came up to me describing incident. Blaming it was my fault causing people being distracted not watching where they are going while i showered. Assuming it was bright color thong made the difference. |
