Went yesterday to the north end and was the only guy around in a thong. Today I went to the area just north of the fort and found many folks in thongs and g-strings, stayed for a few hours in nothing but an orange g and loved it. Met a couple from Ohio and another that were locals both fishing, he was in a g and she had on a thong. I think it's time to pack up the wife, kids and all our crap and move down here!

Even though there was some heavy rain from the previous night, the walkways / paths out to the beach area were fine to walk through since the true rainy season has not happened as of yet.
I had the opportunity to sport some of my new suits I've purchased. Was great to be able to walk freely along the beach with some friendly conversations with some of the regulars. There was this one couple that I've met in the past (Male & female) who I haven't seen in a while that he sported a G-String with the front part of his suit with a sea shell. Yup... a sea shell.. I didn't want to say anything, but kudos to him for his creativity as I'm sure he made it himself.

Since my last visit in late 2020 the new bridge being constructed heading over Tierra Verde is now open for road traffic. They are still working on finishing up some construction things and the prior bridge is still there. So there is some traffic and no indication that they will add another toll for this new bridge.
Parking costs at the Fort remains at $5.00 for all day and if you frequent the park you can buy a annual yearly pass (I'm not sure of the costs but can be found on line probably).
The traffic was heavy due to the good weather with a long line to pay the entrance fee at the park that fairly quickly moved along.
This past Saturday had a nice turnout of several thongers that consisted of couples and singles alike. The weather was perfect and the water temps are starting to get warmer. Some folks went in the water (I did not). Had the chance to try on a few new suits I recently purchased from JJ Malibu and walk the beach and work on my thong tan line.
Hope to return to the Fort soon as it remains one of the better places to thong comfortably and legally.

We've never seen it so busy but we aren't in the Tampa Bay area all the time either. In fact, it was really too busy for us -- with Covid and social distancing as a goal.
We did see one guy in a thong and several women. But it seemed like the vanilla crowd had invaded the traditional thong area.
One thing we were blown away about was how much of the dunes had vanished, apparently by a tropical storm, since we last were there about a year ago. Even the Pinellas County sign warning against nudity -- which we used in photos last year -- was just gone!
This was after a big chunk of the beach washed away a few years ago in a hurricane. Will I come back in another couple of years and find the water line all the way over to the road?

The Parking to go to the Thonger area is along the roadway with only parallel parking on the grass. You would then need to walk across the dune area to reach the thonger beach.
If you seen a sail boat that was grounded to the shoreline, then you were at the right area where the thongers go.
The traffic into the park on Saturday was definitely packed.
The traditional thonger area of Fort Desoto had plenty of space to be socially distanced. Hopefully next time you return you go to the right area.

Got a really late start and never hit Tierra Verde until 12 noon and traffic was busy. Traffic was bumper to bumper just before the Toll Booth to the Fort. It took another 1/2 hr to get to the Fort Toll Gate. In all my years of going to the Fort, I have never seen it that busy. Set up at 1pm with a cold beer in the usual spot. Had one couple late 60's about 30 feet away both in gstrings and others just south in a gstring and then of course to the north of us all the way to the beached sailboat thongs and g's. It was a beautiful day, captured some really good sun and even took a few dips in the cool water. So glad warm weather is on the horizon for us locals!

A good number of whom are single women. These tend to have fit people, or people attempting to get fit, who often like to go for breakfast or a coffee after a training session.
After years of going to the beach I notice most fit single women who go to the beach alone don't want to be hit on at the beach. Nor do they need a man to take them there.
You are only likely to find women to accompany you if:
(a) You have the courage to go alone, and entertain yourself, and look like you are having fun. Then a single women, or group of single women who are already at the beach may make friends.
(b) You already know them from some other social GROUP activity. If looking for fit middle aged women try kayak groups, running club or triathlon training team. (Not serious cycling groups because it is male dominated and the other men are probably fitter and younger than you).
(c) You join your local Hash House Harriers. These tend to be half way fit, middle aged, with a good number of women who like drinking, fun and others with low inhabitations.

If you want to cut and paste from your word processor do not do it directly.
