Date Posted:06/17/2004 04:44:44Copy HTML Just back from a week at the beaches of St Augustine to Jacksonville to Fernmandina. It did not rain except for a few sprinkles during the week. Almost no speedos, thongs etc. I wore my euro red speedo 2 cm side size 28 at the hotel pool to do laps at 8 in the a.m. No other person in a speedo all week at the hotel.
On the beach a muscle guy in a black pose/ swim suit, and one young lady in a thong. At the eight beaches I stopped at zero thongs or speedos. I received several smiles when I wore my Skinz Ocelot animal print string rio at the beaches. At least 40% of the people were fat to very fat. Some very nice looking younger women in string bikinis which made up for the others. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:07/15/2004 09:15:20Copy HTML I live in Jacksonville and thonged last year. I was the only guy and few women if you look. I was wondering where (what beach or part of the beach)you saw the couple (the guy who looked like a body builder and his lady in a thong)?

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:01/06/2006 04:43:17Copy HTML Monte, I'm a JAX expat, & I spend all my USA time in JAX. Last time there about 1 & 1/2 years ago, I only saw one lady in a thong. What's the name of that beach just South of Mayport Naval Base?? Starts with an "H" ??? Anyhow, That's where me & my wife & (currently 10 year old) son go when in JAX. I was last there in May '04 (when I saw the 1 lady in a thong), and I was wearing a Solar Tan-Thru string bikini w/brazilian seat. It only takes one wave when boogey-boarding/bodysurfing to turn that suit into a defacto thong. My son & I kept getting washed down the beach as we enjoyed riding the waves, plus the tide was going out, and we had to walk ever increasing distances of sand to get back to our spot on the beach. No problems at all, even though EVERY other male on the beach was wearing shorts. Police vehicles are the only ones allowed on the beach there, & they rolled by every 20 minutes or so. No prob. I wish they'd been in the parking lot though!!!!!!! Hating as I do to wear clothes at the beach, I peeled out of my shorts in the parking lot with about $170 cash and an ancient brick-sized cell phone in my pockets, and tucked them up under the front seat. After an hour on the beach, I headed back up to grab the cooler w/munchies in it, and noticed that some a$$hole had taken a hammer to the driver's window, and robbed me. So here I was in a string bikini w/ Brazilian bottom (my shorts were gone!), asking a couple of complete strangers if they could call the police for me! Everyone (including the deputy Sheriff) was as nice as could be and took no obvious notice of my attire. The busted glass all over my car and the parking lot was the focus. I wasn't in a thong, but the sliding Brazilian seat was an interesting thing to wear when filing a police report with a ton of passers-by looking over and wondering what was going on.....just wish I'd have been wearing as little as possible, which I wasn't. Would've made it all the more interesting. I wonder if I could get away with a little pouch & little corded g-string in that situation. I just emailed the "Parks & Recreation" section of http://www.jacksonvillebeach.org Below is the email I sent: "Hello, Is G-String swimwear legal on Jacksonville (Duval County) beaches? Ignorance of the law is no excuse, so I'm asking in advance. Thanks, Will definitely let you know when/if I get a response. Best, |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:01/09/2006 08:54:33Copy HTML Ed- and all-
Car breakins are epidemic in Florida. As a recent Florida resident I see that the Florida police are just report takers, are doing nothing-Zero-to stop the problem. Nothing under a murder gets investigated and solved. Could it be that they have devoted too much manpower to checking for small swimsuits and other victimless crimes? |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:01/10/2006 05:26:26Copy HTML Beachfolks, Now that you mention it, yes, it would be much better to take all but maybe one of those police vehicles off the beach & have them patrol the parking areas. As G-strings are apparently legal where this happened to me, then the beach patrols must be looking for alcohol consumption, which is a pretty victimless crime as long as one doesn't drive afterwards. Oh yeah, I just remembered the name of the park where I was---Hannah Park. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:03/21/2007 03:26:12Copy HTML Well.........the only place we got to was....... St Augustine. Our drive to Florida went so well, we ended up in St Augustine in the early afternoon. So we decided to see what the place was like. I couldn't remember if it was thong friendly or not, so we took our chances. We found a great hotel, a Comfort Suites, just off the I-95 which had recently opened. We felt like rich folk, lol. The place was very comfortable, let's say that. We all changed into our swimuits and headed for the outdoor pool. No one was there, our kids had the run of the place while my wife and I enjoyed our first blast of Florida sunshine .... of course wearing our thongs. Then another couple came to the pool (she was very hottt) with their kids and later another couple came to the pool. No one seemed to care we were in our thongs, we loved it there. The next day we checked out and headed for the beach and had fun there too. The beach patrol went by us several times, one time stopping closeby to chat with someone. Again, no one cared we were in our thongs. We would go back to St Augustine again. The only sad part of our trip was we never got the Caladesi or Ft DeSoto. Our kids were enjoying Orlando too much and weren't in the mood for another drive. I can't blame them but I was disappointed. Next year, we'll stay on each coast for a few days, St Augustine for the first 3 days, then St Pete Beach for the next 4. Then everyone will be happy.

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:08/27/2007 04:32:01Copy HTML My wife and I live in Jacksonville and just got back from a great thong day at the beach. Now that the kids are back in school, there is virtually no one at the beach during the week. We like to go to the south end of Jacksonville beach where is is more residential and has limited beach access, but thongs and g-strings are legal anywhere at the beach. Hope this helps as well. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:08/27/2007 05:03:29Copy HTML Microtman, thanks for the info. I'll keep it tucked away for future reference when we're in the area. Your experience is similar to mine here in Connecticut, where the state parks say no thongs, but several city/town beaches are more enlightened and permit them. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:02/08/2009 01:57:57Copy HTML I want to start wearing thong bikinis to Jacksonville Beach, in Florida. (Lived here for 2 years).
I do go to less crowded beaches to wear thongs, but it is a longer drive. Some people do wear thongs, but its mainly older women (30's and up), I've seen men wear them, and joggers/bicyclists. But you never see any college age girls wear them. There are days where I do not see other people wearing them at all. The problem is that I don't want people to think I am a slut when I wear them, or be singled out becuase I am the only one wearing a thong. How can I get over the fear of what people will think of me? Will I will feel kind of out of place? Anyone ever felt that way?? |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:02/08/2009 05:27:34Copy HTML The first thing you have to relize is that about half of the people have the wrong idea, the wrong values and completly the wrong idea of what life is about. How do I know it is about half? Well just look at the last election, see how many people voted for the wrong choice? Once you realize that at least 1/2 the nation has bat shit for brains, you should start to look at some of the other nutty things they believe, like imaginary friends and angles and stuff. So why do we worry about what these nutters think? Because we are programed to try to fit in and school teaches us not to stick out. Growing up means learning to become self assured and independent in thought. Unfortunately in the modern world we don't leave school at 18 and strike out on our own, we go on to higher education where it is important that our professors think well of us, or we leave school and enter low level jobs where we are very dependent on pleasing some low level boss. So we spend far to much of our lives trying to please other people. Don't value your self by what other people, who don't even know you, might be thinking. Learning to have self confidence when thonging is partly a mental game. You have to realize that many people do approve, and more importantly they approve of you having the right to chose do do as you wish. You have to tell your self that someones disapproving look does not matter, becuase you would not have asked that persons advice on what to do for a profession, or what you should believe about god, so why are you worried about what they think of your swim suit? We have all felt the fear that other people might disapprove. But we rarely stop to think: "Hay some people might approve, and maybe the people who approve are more numerous than the disapprovals." We don't notice the people who do approve or just don't case because the approving people are more polite, and we are so worried about the people who disapprove that we are not focusing on the friendly smiles from people who do a approve. Figure most men like to see women on the beach in thongs, and approve, and at least half the women wish they still had a body like yours and tell their husband, "Well if I had a body like that I would be wearing a thong too." Which they wouldn't because even if they did have the body they don't have the guts. So between the 90% of men who approve and the 50% of women telling their husbands that they would if they could, you have a majority of people approving, they may just not show it. Then there are also a bunch of people who may disapprove but would defend your right to wear what you want, becuase this is America and people should have freedom. Then there are all the teenage boys, and they all approve of a girl in a thong, well all except about 10% of them. So, see, there is a lot more quiet support than you think. What can you do about it? All I can say is we have all gone through those worries with what other people think, and the only thing I can all tell you is we all look back and think, "Why was I so worried? No one much really cared!" You will find the odd redneck who voices his unsolicited opinion, and some women who think they are more proper than you, but neither of these are people you would normally care to hang out with unless you like gator hunting or church socials. So don't let there sudden appearance or odd comments spook you. Gaining more confidence... Well just doing it is the first thing. One thing I think we would all suggest is not hiding out at the end of the beach like you are guilty of something. Summon up the courage to just plunk down in the middle of the beach and go for it. Take a hat, sun glasses and a book. They all help you to look around without appearing to be making furtive glances in a guilty sort of way. Don't let them see you are nervous, be bold. Going with a friend who is calm and who has more confidence than you can help you build your confidence. Daring your self to wear a thong, and then to mix with the regular folk on the beach. Going with a group of girls is a good start, especially if you can get some of them to thong too. A technique I used a lot when I first started thonging and was nervous was to look for people who were already on the beach, and then go and ask them if I could lay out with them becuase I wanted to wear a thong but felt nervous on my own. You will be amazed how naturally protective people are when you ask for their protection. It is very easy for them to say yes because they don't actually have to anything. A good suggestion is to setup right in front of the life guard stand. That way people know the life guard has seen you and they think, "Well if he does not have a problem then it must be ok." I have a friend down here who uses the same system when she want's to go topless on a beach that's not meant to be topless. She will ask the lifeguard if he minds if she go topless, to which the answer is almost always, "Well I don't mind but if someone complains then I will have to ask you to cover up." So then she sets up right near the lifeguard stand, very close but just off to one side so she does not block his direct access to the sea. People see her and they can see the life guard has seen her because she is right out front, so they don't bother reporting her, and she is often able to stay topless. Thonging is simpler than going topless, becuase it's not against the law. So make a few friends. Ask for a little protection. People will look out for you if they know who you are, so go learn there names and say more than "HI" to them every time you see them. Do things. You can get very self conscious if you are just sitting down worrying what other people are thinking. So do as many beach activates as you can. Go for a run. It takes courage to run down the beach in a thong, but it's rush. Go run for a mile or so, then swim, and run on back. Ask someone to watch your stuff when you are gone. Fly a kite if the beach allows kites. Best way to find out is to go fly one. My dad stays busy on a beach by getting old plastic grocery bags and filling them up with the garbage he finds and putting it in the trash. He says it's amazing how many people come up to you and thank you. My mother kids him that it's so he has an excuse to walk down the beach and check out the girls. Either way, if people see you removing trash and putting it in the trash cans they will respect you for putting efort into keeping the beach clean. It is nice to be respected. Make a conscious decision to adopt a bit of beach you like and make friends. There will be people who are on the beach regularly. It may be the life guards or the staff who work the concession stands, it may be the old couple who come down and set up chairs and read the news paper. Most beach jobs like being a life guard or collecting the money for the chairs is boring, so they will often welcome a little conversation. Set out to make as many friends as you can. Learn there names. Maybe even take a pen and paper and write there names down, then use their names when you see them next time on the beach. You will feel a lot more confident when you know people and know they don't mind your thong. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:02/09/2009 09:06:56Copy HTML Check with the authorities at the beach and see if thongs are "OK". If so, there is nothing "wrong" with wearing a thong. So, get in your head that the thong should be "the uniform" of the beach.
Yes, it takes a bit of getting used to wearing something so small -- that's the self-confidence JM_Runs is talking about. If you want to wear a thong, "Just do it!". If your female friends will go with you, great, whether or not they wear a thong. You'll find male "friends" as soon as they see you in a thong! Tell them that, in order to hang out with you, they have to wear a thong (or at least a Speedo). |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:02/10/2009 03:13:45Copy HTML People always worry about what others will think or say, but actually they really don't care! In 15 years of thonging, I've only heard 1 bad remark --"get some clothes on!". Not bad. Even if people look at you, a minute later you just blend into the crowd, their thrill is over. As they said, be bold and act like its just another day at the beach and people will totally leave you alone. Enjoy!! Monte ;-)

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:02/11/2009 11:56:43Copy HTML Most of the time I'm the only guy in a string or thong on the beach. When I started more than 10 years back, it was a little scary, but slowly I gained confidence. In Europe we don't have the hassle of the laws against strings and thongs, so I don't have to look back over my shoulder. But with the development of the fashion, my suits are even smaller now than most of that of the women. Only in mid-season I will see a fellow-stringer now and then in Holland or in the south of France.
By walking around in strings I hope to push an other guy into strings. Wearing a string will not make a girl a slut. But her attitude and behavior may, even in a single-piece bathingsuit. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:02/12/2009 02:36:57Copy HTML If you are a guy, it is a 99% certainty that you will be the only male thonger on most public beaches in this country. Proabably an 90% change if you are a woman as well. There are some notible exceptions, where thonging is more accepted (south beach miami, osterman beach chicago, hamption beach new hampshire and various nude beaches throughout the usa), but for the most part...thongs are very much the exception not the rule. If you are going to thong, you should probably get used to the fact that you are not going to have alot of company. My strategy (which i realize is not an option for everyone) is to thong with my wife (who is also in a thong/g-string). If no one else, at least we have each other.

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:02/12/2009 04:06:19Copy HTML Morena, I understand your concerns.... but why are you interested in college age women? I first thought that you are college age but your profile says you're 29.
Anyway, most people won't care what you wear. How much do you care what others wear anyway? If a man approaches just tell him that you rather be alone/waiting on your boyfriend. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:03/07/2009 03:27:13Copy HTML I grew up in Jax Beach and still live close. I have seen plenty of younger women in thongs but more so recently in what I call "Wide" thongs. Where it does what a thong does on the bottom half of your rear but comes out and goes wide (maybe 6") before merging into a string side. Might be called a"Brazillian" style, I'm not sure. But rest assured, there have been plenty before you in thongs and strings and it will be only be a big deal if you think it is. I mean this with all the respect and good-will, I promise.
Usually have seen the most by the new pier (New to me, I like the old one). Have fun |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:03/09/2009 12:23:53Copy HTML Posted else where by Morena123, but I think it was intended to be her own reply to this thread she sharted. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Everyone on this board is right, almost no one cares, even families with small kids nearby. I do get the occasional gawkers who try to come up to you (or wait til u leave and do that) which gets annoying. The young teenage boys get a kick out of coming to see you. The lifeguards drive buy and have no problem. The only people that seem to let my thong bother them are other women with their man with them, who get jealous. I can understand that, but at least they are respectful and don't sit there and stare, or take sneaky glaces, or make rude comments. Once someone walked by while my bf was laying out with me and commented on my butt, it made him very angry and he ended up leaving. (I didn't.) I just don't much like wearing thongs on Jacksonville Beach becuase no one else does!! Now that it is spring break I don't even want to get up and go to the water, becuase the beach is so crowded and with no one else is wearing them I think my butt stands out. It would be different if I was in Miami, but here its just so conservative that I feel out of place!! But I still think it is so much better to wear a thong. BWT I am 26 but I don't look anywhere over 19. I want to know what is everyone else's experience around Jacksonville is. Men or women can answer but, I'm mainly lookig for replies from other ladies who have experence on the beaches here. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:03/12/2009 02:35:36Copy HTML OK, I will leave a little review about St. Augustine Beach (and Jacksonville, too I guess) during the spring break days. Its my first year wearing thongs so I'm getting used to it... well I wore mine by the pier and there were no probs.. no one cared really. There was a couple that came beside me and set up and laid out, they never looked or stared or anything, it was just like a normal day at the beach! it was also crowded (for a monday), everyone must be on spring break now. Also after i got in the water, i walked right past beach patrol, and no probs, He saw me, and no probs. Also i saw no other women or men wearing them. I wore it again to jacksonville beach today and it was better than the first time. Again, no one cared, the girls near me didn't mind if I laid out near them in my brazilian thong bikini, and no guys came up to me and harrassed me or anything.. I think it kind of helps to put a wall up and act like you don't want to be bothered by the guys, and they really won't come over and try to chat you up. But I got in the water and had fun, it was just another fun day at the beach! OK so wearing thongs isn't that bad, it feels weird at first if you've never worn thong bikinis but after a while it just starts to feel normal.

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:03/12/2009 03:52:18Copy HTML Good work Morena. It takes time and repeated courage to build the self confidence. If you do on day have some red-neck or church women say something negative, don't let the one or two bad incidents set you back. Just think of the good days like the ones you have been having. You are your own person, dress to make your self happy and have fun. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:03/21/2009 05:19:40Copy HTML Yes, definitely!! They are fun to wear. I even wear it at the apartment complex at the pool. (I liked to keep the thong tan-line). We have 3 pools, and i don't go to the one by the office (I haven't asked if it was okay..tho) so I go to another pool and I wear them when the kids are still in school, and no one else cre either. There's a Brazilian girl that lives there too and wants to wear some. Since i have 8 thongs now and only worn 3, i can prob let her have one so she can wear it with me there or to the beach!! Yay and I won't be at the beach in a thong by myself anymore.

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:03/27/2009 03:54:38Copy HTML It can be difficult at first. But the more you wear it the more confidence you will get and the better you will feel. You have no control over what everyone else wears, so eventually you will stop worrying about that. But you DO have control over what you wear, so you should always wear what you want. And the better you feel about it, the better your experience will be, as somehow, self-confidence is contagious.
BTW Need to have a good talk with your BF. He should be your greatest fan. (I know I would be if I could ever talk my wife into wearing one!) Together, you should both decide ahead of time what you feel would be appropriate responses if anyone gets rude with you. If you both know what to expect from the other the experience will be much much less stressful, should it reoccur. In due course you will able to laugh it off with BF. All of the above takes more than a month or two. Good luck, and keep us posted. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:04/10/2009 03:28:28Copy HTML Way to go Morena!! We need more thong wearers in Jax Beach!! You would think that since thongs and G's are legal here that more people would take advantage of wearing them. We like to go out during the week when the crowds are light. That way we get the beach almost to ourselves.

My first beach thong outing years ago was at Guana State Park if I remember correctly (but now I read thongs on state parks in FL are technically illegal).
I use to, and will visit friends in Jax again and may thong there for convenience vs going to Apollo or Miami. Where in Jax is there a less crowded beach for thonging (I want to sunbathe) that's like Guana State Park? Or as far as St Augustine? I liked it because it had handful of people, and the sand had LOTS of crushed shells, and my first sets of pics of me in thongs were taken there! Thanks. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:04/18/2009 07:56:55Copy HTML Hi, yes u can go to Ponte Vedra beach, its way more secluded. I wore mine there one time. There are other people out there but not very many at all tho. I wore mine to St augustine before, too. Its been very crowded there tho so far this year, compared to last year. i went last sunday but the beach is very spacy u can pick your own spot. I wear them to jacksonville beach too and i sunbathe a little, and swim. But on any hot day it will be crowded there i've seen men wear them there too and some women. I don't go to any state parks so i dunno about that....

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:04/22/2009 06:37:29Copy HTML I use to go out to Guana alot a few years back and never had any problems. Now with my work schedule I can't make it much at all during the week. Last summer me and my GF went out there on a Sunday and a ranger told us to cover up. We were both in thongs. There was noone around us at all and he kinda came out of the dunes. I've heard that St. John county has made them illegal, but not 100% sure about that. I'm sure we will venture out that way again this summer. I like it out there due to its lower population.

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:04/23/2009 04:23:37Copy HTML Yeah, honestly I'm starting to wonder about St Johns county, too. I was at St Augustine beach just 2 weeks ago, i wore a thong, (and got in the water a few times this was further away from the pier), and I was there for like 2 hours. Just when I decided i was ready to leave, i looked further down the beach and saw a police car (beach patrol) coming our way, with the lights on and everything...and I looked around to see what he might be coming for, and i didnt see anything going on at the beach. It was just a normal day, everyone laying out, and no one was in trouble in the water. So after I was walking away (with clothes on), he had already passed where I was sitting, but I looked back again to see where he had went, and he was already driving back the other way!!! With the lights off, too. So I have no idea. And I went there in March too and wore a thong, walked right past beach patrol (not the same car) he was chatting with someone, but he saw me and didnt say anything. I walked right in front of him. People on here have said that they wore thongs there, so i assumed it was (still) legal and went, too. I've gone there more than twice and nothing happened.
So i guess every year we are going to have to check and see if thongs are STILL legal at certain beaches, which kind of sucks. I bet Jacksonvile will be next in eliminating thongs.. because people have already complained about the dogs being on the beach (before 5), I don't see why they wouldn't also start complaining about thongs |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:05/08/2009 02:43:26Copy HTML I wouldn't worry about the ranger drive-by. He obviously wasn't looking for you. He probably had a radio call that got cancelled due it being the wrong location or something like that. Maybe there was a report of someone in trouble in the water somewhere and the location was reported incorrectly. If he were after a thonger, he probably wouldn't use the redlights. He would drive slowly and try to "sneak up" before the thonger could cover up.

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:05/14/2009 04:54:29Copy HTML I am going to Jax and Ponte Vedra this weekend, try to sunbathe in a thong. Technically, all the beaches next to Guana State Park, is it part of the State Park such that thongs are illegal. Or, it's actually Ponte Vedra beaches ??? Does anyone know.
According to Google maps, it's not part of the state park (not shaded green). I'll try Jax also.....thanks for your help. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:05/18/2009 03:09:46Copy HTML Thong Expert - I have worn thongs to Ponte Vedra Beach (i dunno if it was in the guana state park area but it was way past the sawgrass area) but i think the park is separate from the beach. I think u will be Ok wearing it on the beach. Cuz its not the park. Did you wear it this weekend? What about jacksonville Beach?
I was at the beaches both saturday and sunday. Saturday I was in jacksonville beach, and i wore a thong, my bf wore a speedo that he bought in Miami. Just in front of me near the water (i didnt notice the whole time) but there was another lady wearing a thong and she was laying out with another girl but she wore a regular bikini. I was like YAYY i'm not the only one today. We were in the spot between the pier and red cross building. Then yesterday (sunday) me and a friend went to st augustine beach and i wore my thong there, she wore her brazilian bikini, the ones u can slide into a thong, or slide it back out to make it look normal. And i saw another girl with a thong and it was a t-back. And she was just walking down the beach. Refering to my other post above, Ok so u can wear thongs there too (st augustine) its just that when i see those beach patrol cars coming i get nervous!!!! |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:05/19/2009 01:32:15Copy HTML Morena, hello. I did visit friends in Jax this past weekend and did wear my thong at beaches south of Ponte Vedra and south of Sawgrass, near the first parts of Guana Park. I think there is about 3 parking lots, and I went to the second one. That's the area I was questioning, concerned that it's a "state park" and thongs are not allowed. In the 4 hours I was there, I didn't see any ATV's come by, but there were tracks, so I was lucky to sunbathe peacefully in my thong, mission accomplished. But I also want to know for sure, but didn't get to ask.
I liked the crushed shells on all the mini dunes, reminds me years ago this is where I first started thonging. I also took a bunch of pics which might go to voyeurweb soon, along with Sobe pics from past New Year's trip. Went to Jax and peeked at the beach, too crowded for a guy to thong on Sat/Sun, even though I really wanted to try. I was going to today Monday, but weather prevented this as you know. What would people think ??? Guy in a thong ??? You're a girl that appreciates thongs, but more do not. I guess weekdays are possible with less people, I will thong at Jax upcoming month or so. Morena, I guess you've never seen any guys in a thong there. Cheers. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:05/20/2009 02:22:32Copy HTML Yes, i have seen a man wear a thong in Jacksonville Beach, in the area where most people like to go which is near the pier/restaurants/red cross building area. He was older, looked aobut 50-60 years old and was in the water with another lady (his wife, maybe?) who was wearing one, too. At first i thought it was weird cuz I've never seen a man in a thong (beach). So it was a little surprising to me, well what really surprised me was that they were elderly and I didn't think someone that age would wear one. I thought it was kinda cute how him and his wife wore one together. There were other people around, too and no one said anything, some probably seemed a little surprised, too, but no one made any comments.
I've been to that beach, with the crushed shells and wore one too. Its very secluded more quiet and no one is there to patroll the beach, and there's like 7 other people out there. I consider the beach and park separate. Unless you are in the river wearing a thong i think you might have to worry. Just come to the beach with your thong! we need some more eye candy on the beach anways, haha. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:05/22/2009 11:31:06Copy HTML Morena, what's his reason for not wanting to wear a thong ? What would he say if you two came upon a guy thonger, say me, would he comment or grin. What would you say with him there ?
Thanks for your input ! |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:05/24/2009 01:20:21Copy HTML I dont think you really want to know why he wouldn't wear one, it would only discourage you from wearing it. He just thinks wearing a speedo is enough, nothing less. A thong isn't something he would wear.
Well he's really into working out, so if he saw you walking by and you were really in shape he would comment and mention the type of muscles (biceps, abs..etc etc). Just try it one day and see how u like it. Its my 1st year wearing thongs and i used to be self-conscious thinking that everyone would think I'm some slut, but it turns out that they don't care, or enjoy the view, or make good comments, or notice me for a few minutes then get over it.. |

Re:Jacksonville and St.Augustine - FL Date Posted:05/24/2009 10:28:32Copy HTML Well Morena , then you should mention that most of us would not wear a thong if we were not in decent shape, and he is a inspiration to others. s, and he can only be in that shape for a portion of your life, trust me there is going to be a time, when you have an injury, that hinders the workouts. And you have to do what you can, so tell him to wear, as he might have to pose in one. I am nursing a pulled hip flexor, but the warm sun does help.
