I was surprised to see at least 8 girls in the parking lot, and walking down the street in thongs and cheeky bottoms!!! I would have liked to dropped my shorts and joined them in my thong, but I think my son may have had a heart attack!!!!! I will have to get back down there again soon without him.

If so, I hit the jackpot yesterday; stopped counting thongs when I got to 15 between 5th and 7th north on a much less crowded beach than Memorial Day weekend. By the end of the afternoon the tide was very high and lack of beach space forced everyone into single file; all the non-thongers had left the area I was set up in and all the was left was myself, two thong bikinis just to my right, two more just to my left and another playing with her dog in the surf. What a rush, having a substantial section of beach dominated by thong wearers.

Beach patrol rode by twice while I was sunning in my Skinzwear M77; once while I was face-down to make sure I wasn't naked, and the second while I was face up to make sure all was covered and not transparent.
I am pretty certain the interest was generated by a very loud mouth woman with a distinct Brooklyn accent, who upon noticing me laying out said, "Oh My God, that man is naked" so loudly that even the lifeguard 40 yards upwind heard her and turned his attention to me; within 5 minutes the cruising patrol was paying me a pleasant visit; actually got compliments on my build and muscularity. The lady in turn was a genuine ass and raised hell that beach patrol would not make me put something else on. It's easy to write off the bad experience when you have several really good ones come about as a result. Two college coeds in cheeky suits moved over and setup right next to me and kept me company for a couple hours. The one time I walked down to the water to cool and refresh, two older ladies about my age (who were present and witnessed the earlier brouhaha) gave me a substantial amount of attention and stopped me on my return trip to tell me that watching me walk down and back to the water was one of the sexiest things either of them had ever seen. One of them asked if she could take a pic. Of course I told her feel free to take as many as she liked. As I was leaving for the day, two lifeguards, one male and one female, stopped me on the way to my car and asked me several questions about training and bodybuilding nutrition. Both of them were obviously into weight training by their physical appearance and were very friendly and complimentary - did not seem to care in the least what kind of suit I was wearing while sunning. In all my years of thonging on public beaches in Georgia and Florida, I have had only 3 "bad" experiences with obnoxious or "offended" people, and two of the three directly led to some of the best personal experiences I've ever had. In all I enjoyed the day tremendously; traded ass pics with the two cheeky-suit coeds and enjoyed the favorable attention of quite a number of folks. Additionally, I saw more true thong bikinis (all female) than I could keep account. Unfortunately, the majority of them seemed to be the early teen 13-16 age group, but there was a substantial representation on college age and early-20s ladies, all of whom looked spectacular, of course. Thongs most definitely are making a fashion comeback, overtaking the cheeky and rio cut style suits. In spite of my little bad experience, Jax Beach is certainly thong friendly and very well tolerated by the beach crowd in general as well as the beach patrol and law enforcement. I am not deterred in the least for getting back there as soon as I possibly can! |

I went to 6th Ave. N. and looked for other thongs between 5th and 7th N. I did not see the first person. I then drove down to about 7th Ave. S. to see if there were any minimal suits in that area. Nothing!!!! I then stopped at a couple of other locations in the area both N. and S. and I did not see but one female in a rio. I was not about to be the only person to be in a g-string, so I just came home to lay out in the backyard!!!!! What a disappointment. I am going to try Ormond Beach on Monday next week. I will keep my fingers crossed!!

The last two years I have been to a beach area north of Vilano beach, going along the coast there is a couple of beach access parking lots that are north of St Augustine and south of the Ponte Vedra area. I have worn a very small gstring there but kept an eye out for beach patrol. I have seen a few other guys out in thongs there too and some lay out nude so i did too. Walking to the water in just your thong is amazing. I usually park in the second parking lot and I will be there between 10 and 3 either Monday,Tuesday or/and Wed that week if anyone wants to join me. Last year I wore a micro red gstring and had a couple of women looking for shells around me but they didn't say anything about my lack of attire. Please let me know of any beaches that is ok to wear thongs and what the ordinances say about thongs in that area,

As I understand the "regulations", thongs, as well as nudity, are specifically not allowed on any public beaches under jurisdiction of St. John's County. It seems St. Augustine has a separate ordinance for the stretch of beach within that city's jurisdiction. A little further north in Duval County (Jax Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach) thongs and minimal swimwear are fine anywhere you want to wear them, except for Little Talbot Island State Park. Even there, I've laid out in a thong when the beach was largely abandoned, and only once did a ranger pass and she never paid me any attention.
The good news is that I also understand St. John's County has relaxed some on enforcement. For the most part, they seem to enforce the ordinance if someone complains, but otherwise tend to let things be. If you have thonged on that particular stretch before and felt comfortable, I would not hesitate to go back. I suspect you would draw unwanted attention if you were in the more populated public-tourist areas closer to St. Augustine. Look forward to your trip and have a blast! It's a great time of year to be on the beach in this stretch of the coast. |

I saw a few cheeky bikinis on the ladies, and only one brief on one male. SA beach is a more conservative, family-friendly beach, and I don't advise anyone to wear a thong, especially men. A string bikini or a Rio-back might be acceptable, but you might want to go to Duval County or Daytona Beach.

The water was a little chilly and dirty looking but the crowd was nice. There were at least 8 to 10 thongers there and tons of cheeky styles. A young crowd which is usually more attractive. Thonging there is no diffent than wearing a regular bikini. I have to say that I went last year and did not see near as many thong as Friday. I think it becoming the norm for girls to wear cheeky suits and even thongs. Don't know when it will turn for us guys but it is getting a little better.

I'm usually at 9th St North. Had a great day Tuesday, weather was hot as hell and very humid, but great sun and gentle ocean breeze. Saw at least 9 true thongs, all on young college-age women. Did not see another guy in a thong, but did come across two guys who were wearing poser style swimsuits. Had a young hardbody couple stop by my towel and exchange pleasantries and compliments. Both were very fit, and they were an attractive couple. She was in a very sexy black thong bikini that looked spectacular on her. He was wearing square cuts that were flattering on him. The guy was the most complimentary and said it was cool to see me laying out with bare cheeks. I asked him why he wasn't in a thong like his pretty lady, and he said next time I saw him, he would be!
Friday the beach was extremely crowded. I presume lots of people were getting a jump on the weekend. Secondary schools start back in a couple of weeks, so the bulk of the crowd was families with lots of energetic screaming and yelling noisy kids running around. It was intriguing how different the environment was Friday as opposed to Tuesday. I found a little piece of sand near 10th St N behind most of the crowd and laid out for a couple of very un-peaceful hours. I put on my walking shorts and decided to stroll the beach some before I left and take in the scenery. I found two enclaves of thong-clad young women; it was interesting that all these thong ladies were laying out solo but were grouped together in these two areas away from most of the noisy families. There were at least 7 true thong ladies laying out at 12th St N and another group of about 6 or 7 between 15-16th St N. Did not see any guys in thongs, posers or square cuts on Friday, board shorts-dork shorts rule! |

I usually walk North from there around 6th ot 7th. It really depends on the day and the weather. I have been there when I see as much as 10 people in thongs then not seen any. The least I have worn is a Cover Male pouch enhancement. I had a nice yong lady come and take a selfie with me one time. I have stripped down to my thong to shower with no problem with people in line to shower. I will be out if town but hopefully you will enjoy.

I have laid out on a beach about 30 Miles south before but was told that the rangers would ticket me for showing my butt. I would like to get some sun this weekend so if anyone has any suggestions that would be appreciated. I have laid out nude and in a thong at Playalinda just east of Orlando but that is too far for me to drive.

I have about 50 thongs and some very minimal and I wear a very small red one to the beach all the time under my very small swim shorts but haven’t worn just my red thong on Jacksonville Beach. I would love to get some sun all over. I have worn it to a beach south of mickler beach with some other guys but it is not really ok there tonshow your buns. Please let me know, it is all about me getting as much sun as possible, I would go nude if I could legally.

I have seen on the north end of that beach that you can drive on it and that there is a lot of space between vehicles so I am guessing that the north end is not heavily used. It looks like mostly fishermen. I know it cost $5 to enter the park and that there are beaches that are used to swim on that I am guessing is where most people go that want to swim and I think those on in the south end just as you enter the park. I was wondering if anybody has worn thongs on the north end of the park where there are not many people? And if it is legal to wear thongs there and if you get hassled by anybody. I want to sit up somewhere with my wife away from everybody and enjoy getting my tan while wearing a thong or gstring and get in the water every now and then. And how is it to drive on the sand in that area? Thanks for any info.

Yes, you can drive on the beach but will need a 4x4 to access the beach. I do wear my thong to Jax beach usually around the pier either just south or north. Have never had any issues and go there regularly (will probably be going this Thursday if weather is nice). I also go to Mickler and St Augustine beach in my thong and again no issues..Usually very positive comments at all 3 beaches. Have even caught girls at times taking pictures of me with their phone as in laying out or walking.,Would be nice to meet up with other thongers at the beach.

Jax beach itself is extremely thong tolerant; you're not violating any codes in a thong so you won't get bugged by beach patrols, and the vast majority of people are too busy enjoying their day to care one way or the other. You will get the occasional snicker and some cell phones pointed at you, but that's no different from anywhere else really. I've only ever had someone complain about my suit once (and it was t-i-n-y), beach patrol drove up to very that I wasn't naked and that was the end of it.
The four blocks or so north or south of the pier tends to be the most crowded area especially on the weekend, go further in either direction (probably around 8th Ave North or South) and it gets less crowded but you're never going to find isolation. I usually set up around between 5th and 6th North - really you can set up just about anywhere without having to be worried about being hassled. There are always some females in true thongs and lots in cheeky suits just about everywhere, but guys are very few and far between.
Further South - Micklers, Ponte Vedra, St Augustine, etc - puts you in St Johns county which has some quieter spots but has policies in their code against thong swimsuits. As a result, I have no experience to share.

I was down there last night on the pier and saw that there was a lot of volleyball courts in that area. Do you set up there? And do you get any grief from volleyball players? Are you going to be there this Saturday? I plan on going there between 9:30 and 1:30 but I was thinking of going either north or south of there by a few blocks to get away from people some. I wished I could find a few thongers in one of those areas first, it would be much easier to take my small blue shorts off and lay down in just my thong. I am all about getting a better tan.

The volleyball courts do draw a bit of a crowd, but it's the young open-minded type and they're much more concerned with playing their volleyball than judging people around them. The only time that setting up in front of the nets can become in issue is during very high tides just because of space.
If you're looking for a quieter section of beach I would go north of the nets (7th Ave North and higher).

Another 3 or 4 miles south is Guana Beach which offers pretty secluded beaches for wearing small swimsuits for the investment of a little walking away from the cross dunes ramps. Thongs are not allowed in St. John’s County but there are some nice legal variations that allow a good tan. Check out Boodie swimsuits that have slide fronts and backs. |

Just got back from a post-Labor Day trip to St. Augustine Beach with a thong report:
Overall, not many people at the beach, as most of the crowds had left after the holiday weekend. But at the place I was staying there was this one woman who I saw spending her entire time in nothing but thongs. She was probably early 40's, average size body, about 5'-4" or 5'-5". Nice curvy butt, but she was not what I'd call a perfect body. But still very nice to watch. She was there with her two teenage kids (1 boy, 1 girl). The daughter also wore a thong but only while on the beach or swimming at the pool. Daughter was slightly more fuller figured than mom, but still looked nice in her bikini. Son just wore the typical board shorts - since his mom & sister were in thongs I was thinking he might wear a speedo at some point (if not a thong), but 99% of guys that age typically don't. But this report is really focused on the mom, as she was the most visible one.
I would see the mom go out for her morning run or walk every morning, wearing only one of her thong bikinis, then also happened to see her return about an hour or so later. Then she would head out to the beach alone, later joined by the kids at times. Mom just went about her day without a care, whether she was sunbathing or in the water, a lot of times laying "buns up". I think we was actually enjoying showing off like that, which was perfectly fine by me.
Her first thong bikini was either a very dark blue or black. Second suit I saw her in was one of those with the multi-color thin stripes - this one must've been her "pool suit", as she only wore it at the pool, and did not wear her other suits in the pool either. Third thong bikini was a green/blue multicolor suit, possibly came from Skinz, since the fabric looked a lot like what my Skinz Bravura thong is made from. All suits looked very nice & tasteful, none of them were extreme in any way.
But like I said she spent her entire time wearing nothing but her thong bikinis, I never saw her once in any other clothes. At one point while on the beach, my wife turned to me and asked "Do you wish that was us?", motioning to the woman in her thong. Without hesitation, I said "ABSOLUTELY!". Since we were on a family trip with my parents & our kids, neither my wife or I were able to wear any thongs or smaller swimwear. I told my wife how envious I was of the woman, and that I wish that we were able to do that too.

It is south of Mickler Beach and north of Vilano Beach near St Augustine. I was there a couple years ago and laid out in my thong on the beach. They have 3 parking lots but you have to get there early to get a spot. I laid out quite a distance from the other people. I was wondering if anybody else laid out in a thong there to get some sun and if there is trouble with rangers or policeman getting after you for wearing a thong on the beach.

I usually wear a Boodie tan through suit that has a slide back and front allowing it to be either a thong or a rio. I usually park in the north lot and walk south about 1/2 to 1 mile to get a nice secluded spot. There are very infrequent patrols... usually turtle checks and most days no patrols at all. Thongs are not allowed there but the slide suits let you reconfigure if needed on the fly. Lately the female cheeky suits ... virtually thongs... have become very common.

I’ll be out there there tomorrow, March 16. I wear a 1/2 back Cover Male bulge suit or a Boodie slide... away from boardwalks. I like the quiet parts of the beach. There are few times I have non like-minded people within a city block distance of me. I can usually get a minimal to no line tan. Hanna is a great camping park. Anastasia in St. Augustine is, too.
