I also wore them on some morning walks from Firefly to Hedo and back. Got a few negative comments/pointing/snickers, but mostly it was a neutral to positive experience.

I have seen more girls in thongs today than ever in my life: 4 italians 4 french girls and 2 canadians.Three guys in speedos and me in an extra low cut Dore or my Joe Snyder camo which my wife really likes. Looking forward to snorkeling again this year in a thong--best way to tan your backside and stay cool!

Went snorkeling in just a thong got a great tan on the back. Reef we went to was fantastic--on side lots of big coral and the other side lots of fish and two rays--one about 5 feet across! Great time here this year, thonging every day most of the day!

We've always been Hedo guests, so I'm only guessing at this, but I think that the beach is public property, so you should be permitted to walk it even as a non-guest. The beach vendors walk it, so you ought to be able to also. As for what you wear as a non-guest, I'm also guessing that the same rules apply to you as to Hedo guests. The nude beach is nude ONLY (although, the beach vendors don't go nude). It would be my bet that you would get less trouble stripping down completely nude on the nude beach than if you stripped to a thong. If you don't want to get nude, I'd stick to walking the Hedo prude beach.
...And next time, just book your stay at Hedo! |

I have some g strings and joe Snyder bulge thongs I will be wearing and I have her buying some string thongs. My plan is to live in mine all week. Can't wait to live out my thong exhibition with lots of wives and girlfriends seeing my right ass and package in tiny thongs all week.

Went with my beautiful girlfriend and wore greg homme swim thongs all week. She wore cheeky bikinis and a thong a day or two. Mostly because the men were pretty aggressive. I also got yelled at by multiple people for wearing a thong. I gave zero Fucks and am in good shape. Kids shouted ‘panty man’ at me. I also got lots of compliments and some girls who wanted to take pics. Even wore my thong in a snorkeling trip on the boat. Lots of women smiling and watching. Went to the nude section of the beach and got erect in the shallow water while the female guard stared and people walked by and my hot girlfriend was there hanging out. She didn’t feel comfortable getting naked because the local men were yelling st her that they wanted to see her.

I think it is unacceptable; those Jamaican men are very arrogant and rude, obviously their kids learned the same attitude from their fathers. Personally I would not spend one cent of my income planning a holiday to a place like that. Those clubs like Hedonism, etc are precisely places where people come to relax and be uninhibited, I would have thought that the management of these resorts would have stepped in to try to change those nasty attitudes. Yeah it's not fair what you had to endure Reznor, all you can do now is perhaps write a letter to the manager of these clubs and let them know of your disappointment, and also tell them that you would provide the negative reviews they deserve in blogs and general reviews about holidaying in Jamaica. |

I've tanned, swam, snorkeled and used a stand-up paddleboard while wearing a thong in Negril. My wife and I also went nude at Firefly in the middle of the long bay back when that was allowed. It's too bad that things have degraded so much in a few years.
We're heading back to Negril in April, this time doing the all inclusive thing at Couples. Probably won't thong this time as we'll be spending most of our beach time on their nude-required beach. |

For the most part we spent our time at the nude beach. When we went to the main beach we both wore thongs with no issue. We only saw one other woman wearing a thong and he was wearing a square cut "Speedo". Otherwise it was mainly standard bikinis, one pieces and board shorts.

Even though Beaches is Sandal's family resort I attracted no more attention than anyone else on the beach. Confidence is a wonderful thing.

enjoyed it so much have booked to weeks at hedonism for later this year so it will be thongs when i have to and naked the rest of the time.

First week was at Couples San Souci in Ocho Rios. Spent all week on nude side, so didn't see any thongs. Saw a gorgeous woman with a white thong on under sheer dress at dinner. She was at nude beach next day, so win all around!!
Second week was at Royalton White Sands about 45 min outside Montego Bay. It's a family resort, so I saw only 2 or 3 thongs or G-strings. I wore Skinz 1/4 Brazilian and got some looks, but no comments. Wife and daughter wore 1/2 Brazilians
Overall, a thong bust, but a great time nonetheless. |

I know my wife will be mortified when I drop my shorts. Lol. I'm not going to squander an opportunity like this to enjoy myself. It might be a long flight home. |

For me, thongs and strings every day. A few ladies in thongs and a couple in stings. A few guys in bikinis. You wouldn’t know that there is a hurricane here just over a week ago, they were spared here. I’m traveling with my wife, my brother and his wife. Been meeting lots of people here at the resort and we chose an adults Only one that’s real secluded and quiet for the most part.

Specifically it seems that while policies vary from resort to resort, most of them are at least thong-tolerant for men. But this contrasts with the non-resort parts of 7 mile beach in Negril, where men are harassed continually. Maybe other less crowded, more isolated areas are better, not sure.
I had gone to Negril quite a few times, but stopped many years back because I got tired of being harassed. Now, as many have noted, thongs are perfectly legal, and I have never had any problem with any official person, resort or otherwise, but the problem is the locals (exclusively men) who take it upon themselves to harass you constantly. Ditto for my wife, who always wears more conservative swimwear, but got tired of constantly fending off their advances, even though they were way less that half her age.
[ Note this doesn't apply to the numerous locals that have a real purpose, like operating boats or gift shops, or some other service. I have never had any problem with them. Its just those that do nothing but wander the beach and harass the tourists. ]
After I got home the last time I complained to the Negril tourist board, but never got any reply. As many have noted, for a country that relies so heavily on tourism, the conduct of the locals wandering the beach is inexcusable, and needs to be cleaned up.
So it sounds like its best stick to the all inclusives where security will keep the locals out. And be sure to check with them ahead of time about their policies. |

From there, all the way to the stream and village on the South end there was NOTHING but sand and palm trees. Well almost nothing. There was one little guest house half way down, but nothing else. I was 20, and after passing the last hotel at the north end would walk all the miles to the village nude. There was nothing but sand and palm trees, not even tourists on the beach.
Went back about 20 years ago when delivering a boat. A new road behind the beach. Buildings and bars all along the beach front. Busses bringing in tourists. The sand was dirty and the noise was continuous, even at night. (We were anchored off, inside the reef.) Sometimes you can't go back. |

This is right after the hurricane passed there and from all accounts. It really didn’t have an impact too much there other than blowing down all of the mango crop.
My wife and I arrived later in the day, but my brother and sister-in-law were there earlier and spent most of Saturday at the pool. This is a very private, secluded, adults only resort. It was a very nice place to stay for the week. The staff is great, our only complaints was that bartenders made terrible drinks. Since my brother and sister-in-law were there early, they got to know a couple of the other couples that arrived the day prior. On Sunday was the beginning of all thongs and g-strings for the week! At least for me anyway. It was pretty much, once the shorts came off the first time during the day it didn’t go back on unless it was time to go the restaurant. To the beach, to pool, to the bar, back to the room, playing water volleyball, going down the slide, snorkeling… anywhere… bunz out!
We saw a few of the ladies with strings and a couple of guys with bikinis, and the crowd was actually pretty small due to some of the cancellations after the hurricane and it being off-season for that part of the Caribbean.
They had a great waterslide that started two stories up and was enclosed and wrapped around into the main pool. Going back to one of the Thongboard posts a couple years ago about “is it faster wearing a thong”, I think it is, although I haven’t checked the time on the videos that we made Between my brother and I going down.
As mentioned earlier, my brother and sister-in-law made friends with two couples that were from Alabama and one of the guys would make comment about what I was wearing, mostly fun and I took it that way, and offered him a thong as well! I’m sure they have never better around a guy, or probably even a girl that openly wore what I did, but we became friends and also on Facebook.
As far as Jamaica, we’ve never been there before, and we were at a pretty much very private location and I had no issues falling at all. |
