Spent a few hours at Woods Cove yesterday in a Suzi Fox Turquoise G string.  Set up between a couple and a family.  Ended up chatting with the wife and she didn't seemed phased by my choice of swimwear.  I love this quiet small beach!  There was actually a woman laying out top free out of eye shot at the extreme south end of the beach.
     On the drive home along PCH there were 3 girls walking and 2 were wearing thongs!!  Looks like the trend is coming back amongst the next generation!

I have considered thonging at Laguna but was not sure how acceptable it would be.  Years ago, long before i started beach thonging, I saw a guy thonging at Laguna.  My girl friend and I just kinda chuckled but it was not even a big deal.  Good to know that thonging trend is being accepted there. I may just give it a try very soon. 

 2 weeks ago I was down at Woods Cove again and set up on the south beach.  After a time a young woman set up not too far from me.  I know she had seen me (I was wearing the Suzi Fox G again) as I went into the water several times.  Oddly, she approached me and asked if I had any tanning oil.  I did not.  After about an hour had passed I packed up and asked her if she wanted to go get a beer.  She agreed and we walked up to a local mexican restaurant and had a few.  She never mentioned my G string, so when we returned back to say adios, I asked her what she thought about it.  She said, "You look good.  It takes a lot of confidence to pull that off & you seem to have a lot of confidence."  It was a nice day with a very nice young lady.

Excellent story mrhb.  What a fun time.  That was gutsy to ask the lady to get a beer.  Sounds like it worked out just fine for ya.  I live near Laguna but have not thonged there.  The city ordinance says that it is not legal to thong so I avoid it.  Besides, I have closer beaches like Newport and Huntington where thongs are completely legal.  Where is Woods Cove in Laguna?  I am curious in case I ever wanted to try it out.

Cam, I saw in the Laguna city ordinance that exposing one's buttocks in public is not allowed.  Other cities like Newport Beach and Huntington Beach do not list the word buttocks in their indecent exposure law.  That is how I interpret whether thongs are allowed.  Even though you see them somewhere does not mean they are not allowed.  But maybe the authorities just do not care to enforce the policy.  Or maybe I am misunderstanding what I read.

Spent the day this past Monday at West Street Beach.  What a nice fine summer day it was!  I have been to this beach many times in the past, and was always happy with the acceptance of thong swimwear.   There were about 20 groups of people on the beach that day, mostly situated on the north end where you can walk down the path, and where the volleyball courts and toilets are located.  Spent most of the day in a blue suspender thong, which is a two-strap variety.  It is basically a penis sock with two straps that go from the top of my shaft, over the shoulders, and join again as a thong-back at the top of the butt cheeks.  When I am laying down, the straps come off, and I just let them lay where they are.  I always combine the straps together and put them over one shoulder as a common strap.  It is a great feeling, because the sides are nude to the view, the rear is revealing since it is basically a thong, and the front pouch emphasizes the curves of the parts.  I have worn this suit for short walks to the water and a short distance along the waterfront.  My walking thong swimsuit of choice is a mesh g-string, that is blue in color and semi-transparent (but you have to be very close to notice).  Like the suspender thong, there is a small penis pouch, that is anchored in the same manner as the suspender thong, with light-duty straps.  The light mesh material allows a lot of action while walking down the beach with constant jiggling with each step.  This beach is just over a half mile long and there are no issues walking the beach from one end to the other.  This beach has luxury houses over-looking the beach, but there have never been any issues with comments from homeowners.    Lifeguard trucks come and go, but they don’t seem to care much.  During my visit this past week, I crossed paths with a blond-haired girl who was pointing her iPhone at me, but not really taking a picture.  I asked if she wanted to take my picture, and she said yes, but had to clear some photos off so there would be room.  She stated that she is “Jennifer from Michigan” and mentioned that she liked my suit.  First the front side photo, and then she said “thanks”, and I asked if she wanted one of the backside, and she said “sure.”  What a delightful person she was.   I was kicking myself in the butt afterwards, because I had the perfect opportunity to offer if I could walk down the beach with her back to wherever she had come from.  What a blow-it.  I think she would have said “yes”.  Another girl was on a large rock feature at the north end of the beach with her boyfriend, and this time I was wearing the blue suspender thong.  She was also struggling with her iPhone, and I asked if she wanted to take my picture, and she said that she was.  She asked, “what kind of suit is that?” and I said “a small one”.  She said “I like it”.  I asked if she wanted to take more pictures, she should come down to do so, but maybe her boyfriend had some input, because I waited a moment, and then left.  Just when I decided to pack up, I thought it would be fun to do so in the nude.  I removed my thong swimsuit and took down the umbrella completely standing up to do so, and then put everything in my backpack.  Then I rolled up my blanket.  Right then, a guy was just coming up to my area of the beach and stated that he never had seen someone nude at that beach.  I said something like “now you have seen everything”.  Cute, a pun!  Anyway, I thought this would be a fun end to a fun day at the beach.  Although I don’t recommend nudity here because it will only lead to future problems, it was still fun to do as a final departing jesture.  I think women who decide to go topless at this beach would not have an issue from the beachgoers, nor the nearby mansions, so "just do it".    So, great, positive reactions at this typically gay beach.  There was one other guy wearing a g-string laying near the houses.  I tried to speak with him, but he didn’t seem too interested.  I often see women here because it is such a beautiful beach setting.  The guys tend to be defensive, shy, or otherwise non-social for reasons I don’t really understand.  I just like to hang out with anyone in near nudity, but I seem to get more reaction and “attention” with the women.    I am expecting to go there again next Monday, September 30.  I will likely be there with a large blanket, cooler, and a blue umbrella.  I intend to get there around 9 am.  Come introduce yourself!  Would be happy to meet and hang with others who are of good spirit and enjoy “hanging out”.      

 This was a rough summer for us so not too many trips to Laguna. However, for the few trips we did make we never had a problem. We've had lifeguards drive by and Laguna Beach PD/Beach patrol stop and talk to us, but never a word was said about the thong. I do try to keep it rather discrete and don't lay face down if kids/families are around.

None for me but I am curious.  I have always wanted to thong in Laguna beach.  Hopefully someone has some insight.

 I've thonged at both the main beach there close to the little town center and at the gay beach. No problems and no other thongers around. 

 Which beach is the gay beach, I thought most in Laguna were gay, LOL.

Good day yesterday, on the north end of the beach, myself in a booty thong and the group next to us had a guy with a thing, and a girl in a g-string, both were very easy on the eyes.

 The gay beach is down near 1000 steps beach by 9th street in Laguna.  My friend plays vball there a lot and she tells me that is where the gay crowd is.

Like everyone else, I thought it was illegal to thong in Laguna Beach so I didn't want to test it. Last summer when we were there, we did see a girl in a thong. I know it's not quite enforced so I wore more cheeky and Brazilian cut bottoms and pulled it in like a thong with no problems.

Shitty weather day, but other than that it was fun! The clouds lessened as the day progressed, too. My friend and I set up by the second volleyball net (that is nonexistent, so just two brown wooden poles). I had my newish muscleskins poser on. I'm in great shape and youngish so I didn't have a single negative comment, lots of people looking, though. Also...two girls my age probably took a selfie with me in it, but nbd. I also skimboarded on the beach--super obvious at that point, haha.
We were there for over 4 hours, largely in thongs. Had zero problems. These off-duty beach patrol cops came down and walked right by my friend and I (he was in his JS classic thong and I was in shorts at the time as we were about to leave). No problem. They were on their way to the (stupidly) closed off cliff portion of West St. Tons of chicks had thongs on...at least...5--and really young, too, maybe 15 or 16 some of them. Another guy had a thong on but I didn't see him, just saw him on Grindr. ;)
All in all not bad. Quite friendly.

 I've thonged at laguna beach with no problems at both the gay and straight beaches. Straight beach was crowded when I thonged too.

Just wondering, I parked at the intersection of West Street and PCH on Tuesday. Walked down the stairs, I was just wondering what beach is to the left and which one is to the right? When I look at pictures tagged at West Street Beach I can see the houses overlooking the ledge and the volleyball courts that were a couple of hundred feet to the right of the stairs.
Anyways to the point, we set up right in front of the rocks right when you get down the stairs to the left. There was a few groups when we got there around 10:30 in the morning and as the afternoon came around it became packed. Not that I'm complaining or anything but the view was great. There had to be 50+ girls there in thongs and cheekies. The few or non-existent guys that were there were all in board shorts(unlucky for my girlfriend). We were there for a while and a group of three girls set up about 5 feet to the left of us and then another 4 set up a little further to the left. Eventually I took off my shorts and layed out in my bikini bottom. When they realized they were laughing up a storm and taking pictures and what not. With that being said, was I not at the gay beach? 

Gay is considerably far down (past the first lifeguard around the second lifeguard and volleyball courts). Straight is everywhere else, and also in the gay area. Laguna has lost out pretty big on the gay area, really.
Are you saying the girls were laughing at you? People do just laugh, ya know! :p

 hello All,spent a few days last week at West st by the volleyball courts.  first day, 4 thongs including myself... a couple of bikinis and several square cuts and speedos... about 25 groups scattered around. Such a great day...I Felt completely comfortable walking to and from the water, some looks but nothing negative.  There was a guy who seemed very determined to make friends, walking up to every person laying out solo and just camping out next to them, kinda awkward ..i was there to just relax and get some sun.  over all a great experience... days 2 and 3 were alittle bit more quiet... more families and not as many people.  the weather has been so beautiful the past few weeks!  might try to get up there again this week.

 Is it true that men wear just thongs on their paddle board on Laguna beach? who has seen it?

 Spent a beautiful weekday at Victoria Beach yesterday.  It was Thong City for the ladies but not for the men.  Other than myself in a thong, I only saw one dude in a speedo of basic proportions.  All other guys in board shorts.  The ladies on the other hand were proudly showing of their suntanned buns!  I am not kidding when I say 90% of the girls were showing 80% of their ass.  It definitely seemed the late teens to early twenties were the majority of the crowd but even the Moms in their 30's were showing.  
It was a glorious day.

That sounds awesome!  I have thonged at Laguna main beach a couple of times but never down to Victoria.  I mostly layout in Newport.  I have to try out Victoria someday.  

 West Street is most certainly my go to. Now that we're getting warmer weather, more people are showing up = more girls and yes they are showing much booty this season :]I've also been getting a LOT of positive feedback from both sexes, apparently my butt looks really nice :DEven the younger guys (high school age) seem to have mellowed out, as a group of them gave me props for wearing a thong. They may have been trying to make fun of me, but when they shouted 'I like your shorts' (I wasn't wearing shorts) I smiled and gave a genuine thank you, which seemed to throw one of the guys off a little, as it turned his comment into a genuine compliment that did not phase me. In conclusion, beautiful beach, no one will bother you, and you might meet someone who likes what they see ;)

 Gonna be thonging again in Laguna (probably 1000 steps) this Sunday, the 23rd. Look for me (fit white guy, 30) and my thin Latino friend and say hello! Unless you guys have a better suggestion for thonging spots in Laguna. I've done Weat St before and it was fine but I'm looking for a changeup!
